Magnum gives the potions to Silent and describes what they do. You may find these useful or we can consider selling them. We should probably get going as soon as possible.
Silent swirls the potion of stone giant strength and watches the fingernail bounce around the vial before pocketing it with the others. Yeah, let's get going.
A lifetime of safety or an hour of being a giant... that's a hard decision if I ever seen one, but a good idea. I'll keep an eye out for blacksmiths in Felderwin.
(OOC: The challenge of magical items having value is you still need to find a buyer - which is not easy in Wildemount.)
You reach the main road soon enough, and turn north towards Felderwin. The road is reasonably well travelled. You see other travellers and merchants on the road, and you pass by farms with labourers who are collecting the very last of this year's harvest. Travellers are common enough that folk do not pay particular attention to you as you pass, though a few do notice the large metal man and stop their work to stare.
You are perhaps four days from Felderwin - the Rillway Road does not itself enter the town, though. You have the option to stop there or to head directly north to Hupperdook. That will be a choice you make at the time, though - for the moment, is there anything you want to do during the remaining days of the trip?
Silent also has nothing else he wants to do on the way.
At some point during the journey he'll say to Magnum, You know, you've been carryin' that old letter around so long that I'm pretty damn invested in seeing it through. How much time and effort d'you wanna put into figuring it out?
Thats a very good question. At this point I’m not sure how much effort would be required to find someone tied to it or really what good I would be doing beyond telling them someone they care about was murdered by half ogres. Which we also killed. I’m tempted to flip a coin.
You continue your journey up northwards. Please give me a Perception check each for the whole of the journey, and I'll roll to see if you have any encounters.
A day or so later, you cross the bridge over the Eisfus River; you know that some miles to the east, the Eisfus meets the Scymir River as it flows south, but you are not close enough to see the union between them.
Two days later, you have had a very pleasant and pretty uneventful trip. You have passed travellers, a few groups of Crownsguard, but mostly merchants and other travellers.
Now the road has taken you into a small village of farmhouses, with farmland all around in all directions. It's a small place that has clearly grown up around the road. It's the middle of the day, and you stand in the centre of the village. The road you have travelled heads back south; the Rillway Road to Alfield. To the north, the Rillway Road continues towards Berleben, though it branches off to Hupperdook about a day from where you stand. To the east is the Felderwin Road, headed to the town.
A gnome approaches, a middle-aged woman who appears to be selling candies made from honey and apples. Heya, folks. Where you headed? she asks.
She thinks for a moment, toying idly with her wrapped candies. News of what kind? None that I can think of, to tell the truth. There's always weird things going on in Hupperdook - every traveller who passes through from there has a wilder tale than the last - don't you go falling for any of that nonsense, mister metal man. Where are you from, then? You and your quiet friend both, she adds, glancing at Silent.
Oh I am from Deastok, originally. My friend is named Silent. Though I think it’s ironic as he and I are neither very quiet. My name is Magnum, by the by. What are these delightful looking candies you have?
You willing to make any purchases, friend? I have lots of treats, sugar, honey, with fruit flavours from produce grown here in Felderwin Tillage, finest in the Empire.
The night passes peacefully, and you wake having completed a long rest.
Magnum, the potions are one each of:
Potion of Resistance (to radiant damage)
Potion of Watchful Rest
Potion of Stone Giant Strength
It's morning, and you are a few hours from the Rillway Road that heads north into Felderwin Tillage.
Magnum gives the potions to Silent and describes what they do. You may find these useful or we can consider selling them. We should probably get going as soon as possible.

He will follow Magnum towards the Rillway Road.
As they head along, Magnum remarks, If I’m not mistaken, that potion of giant strength alone could fetch you enough to buy you new armor.

Imagine getting full plate, someday. Maybe even a family crest.

Good day, madam. We were just discussing that, actually. Any news from Felderwin or Hupperdook?

I'm from...ah... Bladegarden out east. You willing to share any o' those wild tales, miss?
Silent, roll a Deception check.
