Guard 4 fails their saving throw (14) and remains held.
Guard 5 wants very much to smash a mace into Darren's face; he looks panicky, but his fight or flight instincts are still telling him to fight. That's 20 against AC for the first strike (4 damage, if you take it), and 10 against AC for the second, so a miss.
What does Swin see around the corner of the building? If no movement and no other entrances, she'll move to the door of the smaller building and try it to see if it's locked. On the way she smacks the held guard on the head with the flat or pommel of her rapier. (Attack: 20 Damage: 3 subdual/nonlethal)
The other building is not locked; it's a stable, and it houses no horses at the moment, nor does it appear that it has held any recently.
You bop the guard.
Rhane, outside you cell block where you spend much of your time, you hear yelling - muffled, indistinct, but someone is yelling.
Kef moves in, retrieving one of the daggers he threw before, and flanks with Darren to attack Guard 5, stabbing - and critting! He does 7 points of piercing damage with his dagger.
Swin, there's no response. And Rhane, you would not have heard that.
Balassar, this poor paralysed fool is cut into three clear pieces; I imagine that the spell fades when it's no longer a single creature, but there's a moment's pause while the blood is motionless, and then begins to spurt. Guard 4 is dead.
Darren lets out a cheer for Kef as he witnesses him finding an opening in the guards armor. “Well done mate!” Pressing the advantage Darren takes another swing at the guard. This time trying to knock him unconscious.
“You may yet be able to leave here alive with only a few cuts and bruises.”
(24 to hit for 9 slashing damage… but non lethal. 11 charisma check. Should the guard drop unconscious. Darren move towards the building.)
Alton's crossbow bolt and Darren's attack both find their mark. Darren, the guard is seriously wounded, but not down yet. Kef looks embarrassed but pleased. He starts to grin, then remembers that he's still in a fight, and focuses his attention back on the guard.
Guard 4 stands up, will disengage and move 15 feet towards the gate. "Just let me go!" he says in a low voice that probably only Darren and Kef can hear clearly. "I'm leaving, and I'm not talking, but just let me go, alright?"
Balassar just moves to the door of the house, making sure to stay off to the side in case anything tries to bust through the door. He just looks at his companions waiting for them before making any moves.
OOC: Before just breaching the door, are there any windows we could go through?
Swin, you can tell that the stable is in active use, and there have been horses here until quite recently. There are none here now; you can guess at the reason, though your investigation does not confirm anything as such. Nothing strikes you as odd, for a stable in this part of the world.
Are you all letting the fleeing guard flee? If so, then combat is over - for the moment.
Balassar, the door is wide open and you can see inside to an empty room. There are windows but they are all boarded up, at least on this side of the building.
Balassar just sighs looking as he sees the boarded up windows. He just looks at his party and waits for them to get near the door, before nodding as he crouches slightly holding his shield in front of his body and entering moving to the left of the door and keeping his back to the wall and shield in front as he takes in the room.
Balassar enters, the others crowding behind him - or not, as you prefer.
The room is dirty, and doesn't smell great. To your left is a very dusty and clearly unused counter. Nearer to the centre of the room is a large table with four stools, and an interrupted card game and some mugs on it. To the side lies a smaller table with three stools. There is a single door leading further into the building, set slightly at an angle on the opposite wall; it's currently closed.
Kef's voice pipes up from the back of the group: "Should we... um.... do anything about the, um, bodies?"

Swin is up.
(Steve I assume my readied action triggers and doesn’t hit. Also I can’t get my ac to 21. At least not that I’ve found. So that hits)
(Apologies, missed that - so yes, 3 damage to that guard)
Swin is up.

(12 insight to get a read on how genuine the retreating brigand seems.)
Seems genuinely intent on leaving.
Swin, curious about why a stable for a place so far from town wouldn't have horses, steps inside and looks around, anything odd or secret about it?
Investigation: 15
If she finds nothing interesting, she runs back toward the large building, telling the others what she saw.
Balassar just moves to the door of the house, making sure to stay off to the side in case anything tries to bust through the door. He just looks at his companions waiting for them before making any moves.
OOC:
Before just breaching the door, are there any windows we could go through?
