Swin, give me a Perception check. If you're approaching the doors and listening, roll as normal; if you're just standing across the room, roll with disadvantage.
(I was trying to suggest sending the owl into the two rooms we haven’t been in yet.)
Darren will take some time and inspect the snakes to determine if the material from the trap he got hit with came from the snakes or some other source.
Balassar just looks to the two "You let me know and I'll lead the charge again." he whispers gripping his sword and shield to make sure they won't be knocked out of his hand.
Alton floats his mage hand to the other door to give it a try, "Let's see what is behind door number two first. If both are locked then we can pick door number one."

Be excellent to each other, and roll for initiative dudes!
Alton, this door opens. It reveals a storeroom with a few shelves, sacks, and a large open trapdoor in the corner. Even from outside the room, you can see the very top of a ladder leading down into darkness.

No traps. You head into the kitchen, but don't see any sign of traps, danger or anything particularly revealing. Just the two doors in the far wall.
Swin points at the two doors with both hands, questioningly. She's trying not to make noise, and to listen for a sign of life at both.
Alton step up to the south door and puts his ear against it to see if he can hear anything.

Alton, you hear nothing.

Darren, give me a Nature or Medicine check.
Nature: 11
It's similar, but not the same. You're certain that you weren't hit directly by snake venom, but aside from that, you're not sure.
Swin walks forward a bit, and listens. Perception: 16
Soar, you hear nothing. Not a sound, not a hiss, not a voice, coming from behind either doors.
Swin whispers, "it's quiet, which one?" and again points to either door. She readies a fire bolt for anything hostile seen through any door.
Balassar just looks to the two "You let me know and I'll lead the charge again." he whispers gripping his sword and shield to make sure they won't be knocked out of his hand.
Alton looks at the two doors and says quietly, "How about the south and then the north?"

Darren nods in agreement. Taking position behind Balassar, ready to enter the room.
Swin has a fire bolt ready to hit anything unfriendly.
Alton uses his mage hand to open the door when everyone is ready.

Alton, you use your Mage Hand to try to open the south door. It's locked.
(Assuming Darren can see the fact that the door is locked)
”Do we want to check the other door first? Or pick the lock of this one?” He inquires quietly. “Though I suppose we could just bash it down.”
Alton floats his mage hand to the other door to give it a try, "Let's see what is behind door number two first. If both are locked then we can pick door number one."
