Round One: Rhane and Kef (still up above) Brigands 2, 3, 4 and 5 Darren, Balassar, Alton and Swin Brigand 1
Rhane is up. (Kef will come down when there's space; he's still on the ladder, out of sight.)
The barricades are a factor here; creatures behind them have half-cover and they would be difficult to cross without breaking them first. They have already taken some damage from the explosion though.
Scampering down the ladder now that talks have broken off, Rhane moves to the far left to allow Kef a spot. Not immediately seeing the Dragonborn speaker, he lines up a shot on Brigand #1, using his years of archery training to aim.
(Sharpshooter feat allows Rhane to ignore the cover)
Attack with light crossbow and Sharpshooter damage: Attack: 8 Damage: 18

(I believe Balassar is the dragonborn speaker. I don’t believe we are currently fighting a dragonborn. How difficult are the barriers to cross? Difficult terrain? Uses an action/bonus action?)

(Ah, sorry for the misunderstanding. I thought we were being threatened by the dragonborn leader of the bandits. I will have to read more closely in the future—my fault).

For the barriers, you can't say for sure how to handle them - you will need to try something, and I will tell you how it goes. They are shoulder height to a medium humanoid, made of wood and metal, and somewhat damaged.
For Rhane's attack, please roll in the game log and then post the result here. Don't use the die feature on the forum - it's not reliable. Sorry if you lose your crit.
Rhane shoots, but the bolt glances off the barrier and hits the wall.
Kef holds position, until Alton also moves.
Brigands 2, 3, 4 and 5 unleash a hail of crossbow bolts against you:
Brigand 2 against Rhane: 8 against AC for 7 piercing damage (miss) Brigand 3 against Alton: 21 against AC for 9 piercing damage (hit?) Brigand 4 against Balassar: 19 against AC for 2 piercing damage (miss?) Brigand 5 against Darren: natural 1
They remain where they are, Brigand 3 dropping his crossbow and grabbing a halberd, ready to stab at any who approach.
”Cover your ears!” Darren exclaims charging towards the barricades to what appears to be a split between two different sections.
”Sonic Boom!” Darren says as he makes it to the barricade as he quickly crosses his arms and swings them rapidly towards the brigands. (thunderwave second level, 12 dmg, dc 16 con save for 1/2 dmg)
He then holds his ground hoping he survives the brigands counter attack.
Darren steps forward and casts his spell. It's a 15 foot cube emanating from you, so would catch the barricade on the left of the map, plus Brigands 1, 2, 3 and 4.
BOOM!!!!
(again)
The blast of sound hits the four men; each braces himself (they all make their saves, so take only 6 damage), but the barricade crumbles and the pieces also slam into the unfortunate brigands; they each take 5 additional piercing damage.
The barricade is removed, and Darren barely had to move at all.
Balassar, Alton and Swin are up. And Darren, you still have movement and your bonus action.
Balassar deflects the arrow and smiles as Darren works his magic “Awesome work mate.” he says as begins to walk forward growing as he does “Now’s the time you regret not surrendering.” He says as he brings his blade down on brigand 1.
OOC:
movement 10ft forward just in front of Darren
bonus action: Giant’s Might
attack on brigand 1: 11 to hit for 7 damage
attack on brigand 1: 8 to hit (nat 1) for 5 damage
(No further movement or bonus action for Darren. Though I believe magic weapon should be active on Balassar’s weapon. Unless it’s been more than an hour since it was cast. Though I don’t believe it would’ve taken that long to descend the ladder and chat briefly with the brigands.)
Atlon takes a bolt to his shoulder, "Ow, hey that hurts you know." Holding up his own crossbow he'll fire at the brigand that shot him. Afterwards he will side step behind Swin and get behind Balassar.
Action: Fire a crossbow bolt at Brigand 3: Attack: 12, Damage: 9Piercing Movement: Moves over ten(10) feet along the wall to be behind Balassar.

Be excellent to each other, and roll for initiative dudes!
Balassar, Brigand 1 appears to be very agile; he dodges one way then another, evading both your attacks. Except... make a [skill]Perception]/skill] check.
Alton, your crossbow bolt thunks into the remaining barrier.
Balassar, Brigand 1 appears to be very agile; he dodges one way then another, evading both your attacks. Except... make a [skill]Perception]/skill] check.
Alton, your crossbow bolt thunks into the remaining barrier.
Balassar, you could have sworn that second strike connected with the brigand's armour. You should have heard the clink as it was knocked aside, felt the knock in your hand, but... nothing. It passed straight through, as though through air.
Swin casts a spell; a cone of ice shoots from one finger, catching Brigands 3, 4 and 5. All take some damage, some more than others.
Brigand 1 sees an opportunity in this small space, and holds up two hands. As Swin had cast forth ice, so this brigand casts forth fire, and a lot of it. Balassar, Darren and Swin, give me DEX saves please. The DC is 14, and you take 21 points of fire damage on a failed save, 10 on a success.
Let's see how this works out before progressing to the next round...
With his focus being towards brigand 3, Darren is completely blindsided by the blast of fire to his right. Catching the full effect of the spell as it diverts around Balassar’s shield
(dex save: 9, probably not how that actually works but I liked how it sounded.)
Darren and Swin take the full force, as the blast is deflected around Balassar and his shield.
The brigand backs away, through the doorway, his footsteps retreating. Balassar, if you have a reaction you can make an Opportunity Attack if you like.
OOC:
Initiative: 13 (rolled early above)
Swin's initiative is 6.
