Saxis will use one hand to open the small door but be ready to jam his maul in if anything pops out "Where are the parents? I feel like we should have stumbled across them at this point already."

The footlockers are empty, and it indeed looks the same as the kitchen.

Lavena sighs.  "Something is truly off here, those lockers were empty." She moves to the other door in the room and looks in it.

 Elias is behind Lavena in case something shows up.

Can Saxis do a quick search of the room "There has to be something here, what kind of children's room has nothing in it?"

Lavena gives Elias a nod over her shoulder, silently thanking him for the backup as she goes to the door and opens it.

Saxis, there is indeed nothing in the room, and nothing in the dumbwaiter shaft either.

Guenhyvar will continue to stand ready in the hall, watching for anything that tries to come up behind them and ready to aid them if needed.

Elias doesn't sense anything. And nothing but a row of tidy servants uniforms hanging in the closet behind the other door in the room.

"Who wants to try one of those doors next?"  Lavena asks, nodding to the ones with the suits of armor next to them.

Coming out of the room with a little bit of attitude after a fruitless search "Yeah... I'll do it." Walking past Lavena giving her the side eye "Faster we find our way out faster we get home."

Ronny will take a turn searching a room, following Saxis in; Detect Magic still up, Perception 24 Not like where I'm usually searching, nor yerself either I'll bet. Oversized outdoorsmen, stuck inside, ufda.

Saxis crashes through the right hand set of doors. Red velvet drapes cover the windows of this room. An exquisite mahogany desk and a matching high-back chair face the entrance and the fireplace, above which hangs a framed picture of a windmill perched atop a rocky crag. Situated in corners of the room are two overstuffed chairs. Floor-to-ceiling bookshelves line the south wall. A rolling wooden ladder allows one to more easily reach the high shelves.

We can check here more carefully later - there could be wadyacallit intelligence here about the whole rotting country. But for now... Tovy will look into the third and final room on the floor Perception 19

Ront does notice a strange book on a shelf that caught his eye that he'll definitely want to come back to. In the meantime though:

Gossamer drapes cover the windows of this elegantly appointed hall, which has a brass-plated chandelier hanging from the ceiling. Upholstered chairs line the walls, and stained-glass wall hangings depict beautiful men, women, and children singing and playing instruments.

A harpsichord with a bench rests in the northwest corner. Near the fireplace is a large standing harp. Alabaster figurines of well-dressed dancers adorn the mantelpiece. Close inspection of them reveals that several are carvings of well-dressed skeletons.

Lavena would not leave the office that easily. As the others move off she moves in, her researcher's curiousness wanting to have more of a look around this library before moving onward.

Elias will help Lavena check the office.

On the way out Ronevich points out the strange book that caught his eye to the library team

Saxis will position himself outside of the library waiting to see where the group will go next.
