Bram takes some time and effort to use his rope and grappling hook to make a safer way for everyone else to traverse the pit. Then he climbs over the pit to join Tafod. His interest is taken up by the dragon bones; it looks like a bad thing was being planned here, and while he isn't quite sure how or why it would work, it seems like allowing the skeleton to be left together like this would be a pretty bad idea. Bram takes the time to drag the skull of the dragon to the pit, kicking it down onto the spikes, before returning to the remaining bones and skewing them into a messy pile of disarray.
Tafod will point out the lever, "This pro'ly will ope th' gates t' Limbo, er sum such," He announces to the others. He will inspect the manacles, squinting at the runes. Investigation 20 History 4

If there are any dragon fangs or claws, Tafod will see about keeping them, "Some'd pay a noice bit o' coin fer these, Oi'd say."
Bram creates a makeshift bridge across the spiked pit then scatters the dragon bones, although Tafod picks out a few fangs before he does. Quyst can't find any secret doors. Tafod can't decipher the runes on the manacles, nor can he think of what a pile of dragon bones might be used for.

Bram takes some time to study the floor, looking for tracks to see who's been coming in and out of this room, and from where.
He also takes a look at the lever, and then the pit, and then the lever again, and scratches his head. "You sure it doesn't just close the pit?" he asks Tafod.
(eh. how about I make a roll for actually doing that. Survival: 11 )
"When we next rest, I can prepare a spell that will allow me to identify objects, but I'll need a pearl to cast it properly." Tanisar offers. "The elves may provide help if we ask?" he also suggests. "Do you think we need to bring back the head of the mage skeleton to show we succeeded? Or maybe that dragon head?" he shrugs.
Crossing over to the others, he can inspect the items also.
"Why not both?"Quyst suggests. "We don't know if they'll be able to recognize the mage's head... if they can, it'd be nice to take. Otherwise, a dragon head isn't that usual, and surely shows we accomplished something"
Bram pulls the lever. The room rumbles menacingly... and the spiked pit closes over. Based on how the bones were arranged, Tanisar surmises that the necromancer was trying to reanimate the dead dragon.

"Well, we have the fangs from the big skeleton, and now we have a skull, we killed all the goblins, and we've put spiked holes in the head of the skeletal dragon and trapped it in a pit. I'd say we're done here and should tell the elves of it," Bram says. He tests the pit carefully to make sure it won't open again, and if it's solidly closed, will collect his grapple hook and rope and wait by the door.
"Aye, let's be away from this foul place," Tafod says in agreement. He looks around the place, "Though one'd think a wizardly type 'd 'ave a bit more treasure 'angin' aboot. P'rhaps we should scour the place?"

Before we opened this door, Tanisar was going to search the original room, but then battle started. I think there was a desk or something? Is like to search it: 8
(add the appropriate modifier since I'm traveling and doing this on my phone.)
Tanisar rummages around the desk. He finds some undecipherable messy notes and a pot of ink.
Having done what they came here for, the group steps back onto the teleporting pads. A drop of dragon blood is poured from the vial and in a blink you're back in the forest, once again surrounded by dead goblins and spiders.

"Aye, we were able to stop the skeleton mage before he could reanimate his skeleton dragon. His bloody spider, what was it? A blinking spider? Phase spider? Anyway, his spider pet was an annoying little beast!" Tanisar states, exhaustion deep in his voice.
"The only thing we left alive in there were two drakes, trapped in a cage. Come to think of it, we probably should have killed them, now they're going to starve to death," Bram says with a hint of regret. "Unless someone goes back to take care of them."
