Bram, watching Quyst from the corner of his eye, will continue to engage the bearded warrior, using his focus to dodge the incoming attacks to buy her time to stabilize Tafod.

Bram buys time while Quyst stabilizes Tanisar. The bearded horror jeeps attacking Bram.
Beard Attack: Attack: 16 Damage: 5, and DC 12 CON save or be poisoned. Glaive Attack: Attack: 8 Damage: 11, and DC 12 CON save or take 1d10 damage at the start of each of your turns.

Seeing that Quyst has things in hand, Bram is confident that she will be able to get away and get help should things take a turn for the worst. But as the warrior lands another hit, he realizes there‘s no more time to waste, lest he become one of the people Quyst needs to rescue.
He moves to an offensive stance and begins the spar for his life with his opponent.
Attack: 25 Damage: 8
Bonus Attack: 27 Damage: 6
(OOC: if Quyst wants to run and get help, that might actually be a good course of action in case Bram goes down (23/32 currently). I‘ll try to keep that from happening but this guy hits pretty hard! I think she should at least retreat as far as her spell range allows towards the Harkenwolder line so she can run at a moments‘ notice and get help, or maybe retreat and get help to rescue the unconscious allies before more enemies get in. Your call ultimately!)

(OOC: I'll try the first option, shooting from as far as I can; something I can do to help is keep using Repelling blast, so you can move away without trigerring his OA))
With her friends stable, Quyst moves away from the enemy, and once again shoots it with an purple energy dart
(If Quyst's attack hit first, Bram would certainly move away as soon as he didn't have to eat an AOO, all 30 feet in an attempt to keep the warrior at bay)
Quyst blasts the bearded horror, allowing Bram to move away. He then takes two shots of his own.
The bearded devil dashes to get back into melee with Bram.
(In future, I'll observe posting order to determine who acts in what order, but for this time I'll say that Quyst acted first.) (Quyst, Bram.)

Bram and Quyst employ the same strategy again to run away from the bearded devil, while causing it significant injuries. Frustrated, the bearded devil keeps running after Bram.

OCC I dug around and we have/had an unidentified necklace, taken from the bulliwugs that might or might not have ended up with Tafod, but I don't have it on his inventory and do not know what became of it.

"We're doing this, Bram! Keep shooting!" Quyst says, with a bit of excitement showing on her voice, and flinging once again her eldritch blast to push away to snake-beard

Bram grits his teeth and keeps fighting, willing himself to keep going. For the Harkenwolders. For Tanisar, Tafod, and all of my friends working to stop these criminals. Father, would you be proud of me now?
Bram will stand his ground if Quyst missed, otherwise, same tactic.
Quyst's blast is absorbed by the devil's armour, but it can't stop Bram's bolts. The bearded horror dissolves into dust which drifts on the air and disappears. There are no more enemy combatants left in this part of the battlefield.

Bram quickly runs to his companion's fallen bodies and begins to laboriously drag them to a sheltered position so they can recover properly. He grins at Quyst as he works. "Yuo and I, we did it. We saved them," he pants. "I'd have been a goner without those blasts. I... well, we all owe you our lives."
OCC Dang, but Tafod spends a lot of time 'dreaming'. So, was that necklace we got from the bullywugs the periapt of health?
Groaning, Tafod starts to come around. "What in the twelve Hells were those things?" He has never felt quite so battered before, but, he hopes, that will soon pass and he will be back to his old impetuous self. And then back to chopping up the bad folks. He will investigate the axes those thing were wielding.
Quyst feels her face warming up - if her skin wasn't already shaded in red, other would see she blushing.
"I just kept them away, but you did the heavy lifting" she answers, back in her timid, quiet voice, while helping Tafod to get back on his feet. "Let's find somewhere to get ourselves back together"
Bram nods in agreement, thinking privately to himself that Quyst actually looks kind of cute when she gets flustered. That brings a similar warmth to his own face, and he begins to hem and haw as he tries his best to gently wake or carry Tanisar so they can all recover behind the Harkenwolder lines before facing another deadly challenge.

"snort!" Did Tanisar just snore in his unconscious state?
(just poking the thread)
(I'd guess we're recouping in the Harkenwolder camp and everybody's conscious again by now... IDK, maybe we won! XD )
