Mithrokk will stay in F6, will fetch another oil flask from the sack at his feet and will drop it on the ground on E5, extending the doused area by another 5-ft square, and will ready an action to chop any vermin that come through F5.
He calls out to his friends, “Farnakees! Lathalas! The mages are here. Get in here quick!”
One swarm enters his square and attacks: 15,6+ 1 damage if they hit.
The second swarm moves adjacent to the elf (I9), and also attack: 12, 8 damage if they hit.
OOC: These are the two swarms from the eastern storeroom, right?
First swarm hits but not the second. Seven damage? Oh ... this is not good. Still up but just barely.
OOC: Hi Sorry, was offline already when this happened. Since Lathalas beside me, I use protection: While wielding a shield and a creature you can see attacks a target other than you within 5 ft., you can use your reaction to impose disadvantage on the attack roll.
Farnakees tries to protect the Lathalas with his shield for the attack.
OOC: If Farnakees is beside rats,
Farnakees disengages and moves to F4
OOC: If not
Farnakees moves to F3 and readies an action to attack if rats move beside him.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
OOC - Sorry, been busy ...
Farnakees and Lathalas both disengage from the swarms of rats attacking them, retreating to the first storeroom.
OOC - Yup, you can't ready an action after disengaging.
OOC - Normally, I wouldn't allow that use of the goliath power since the round is over ... but I'll make an exception ... this time ...
Jump back in time ... when the rat swarm jumped Lathalas, Farnakees used his shield to give the elf some cover - 5.
OOC - I have to take the lower roll because of the disadvantage, so it's the 5.
As Lathalas runs back to the room, he realizes that his wounds are superficial -- just nicks and scratches because Farnakees warded off most of the rats with his shield.
OOC - Lathalas can cancel the damage. Alianna is up.
OOC - No, the rats don't get disadvantage passing through the oil, nor will it trigger an attack of opportunity if they do so. I do consider the square as difficult terrain, though.
The much-diminished silver-backed swarm then attacks Lathalas - 18, 2 damage if they hit.
OOC - The rats are with Lathalas in E4. Mithrokk would normally be able to make an attack of opportunity as the rats move away from him, but his Ready Action ate his Reaction for this round.
The other rat swarms also attack. One swarm goes down the corridor, bypasses the oil slick, and start crawling up their old friend the goliath - 19, 7 damage if they hit.
The second swarm follows close behind. They enter the square with the oil slick and lose their footing. They are in the square with the oil slick and do not attack this round.
OOC - The rats were forced to Dash to enter the F5 square, because of the oil spilled there. They remain there and are unable to take any more actions this round.
OOC - Mithrokk and Rastaris are up, then we close out the round.

Mithrokk sees the rats sliding and squirming in the oil slick when a mote of fire flies in and sets them alight. He then tries to chop as many of the burning rats as he can.

He calls out to his friends, “Farnakees! Lathalas! The mages are here. Get in here quick!”
OOC: Farnakees's turn is up!

OOC: Can Lath jump up on Farnakees' back and be carried to the storeroom without being attacked by the rats?
OOC: Need to get rid of the swarm that's between us and the storeroom.
OOC: That's not very heroic, is it?
Lathalas disengages then moves to E4.
OOC: Disengage is an action so I don't think you can Ready an Action after that...

"It pleases me to see you made it here," Alianna says to the two companions as they enter the room. "Now let's see if the rats take the bait."
Alianna delays her turn until the rats move.
OOC: Can I do that?
"The bait.... oh you mean him?" Farnakees points to the monk beside him, an impish grin on his face.
OOC - Yes, Alianna can do that.
Enraged squeaks fill the corridor as the rats rush into the storeroom. The first one through are the remaining silver-backed rats ...
OOC - When they enter F5, that triggers Mithrokk's ready action. Roll to hit.
OOC:
"Don't hate me because I'm finger-lickin' good."

OOC: AoO when rats pass through G5?

Alianna casts Fire Bolt at the oil in F5, hoping to incinerate the rats trapped in it.
