The pointy "stalactites", each of them over four and half feet long and nearly a foot wide at the base, plummet down from the ceiling onto the two halflings directly behind Remacle and one of the halflings in the back row of the group.
The three targeted halflings emit muffled cries as they're pierced by and crushed under the weight of the stony outer shells of the creatures that have dropped on them from thirty feet above. A great eye and a mouth opens near the base of each of the conical creatures, and they begin feasting on the fallen halflings where they lie.
The halflings stand motionless, looking on in horror as their friends are consumed before their eyes.
Aluzira, Tarek, Anakis, and Nicolas are in the small 10'X10' room at the bottom of the image. Torrent and Ash are standing outside the door. The "R" is for Remacle. The rest of the O's are the (remaining) halflings, and the three X's are the piercers.
Aluzira, Nicolas, and Ash, your turns are up. What do you do?
Aluzira lets out a startled yelp as the stalactites fall to the ground and start eating the halflings. “Oh Gods, no...” She quickly draws her daggers and starts running out into the main room towards the creatures. If she can reach it, she’s aiming for the empty spot next to Remacle. (After moving, is she close enough to attack without throwing her daggers?)
(I hope things are getting better for you Arcturos!)

Nicolas will leave the confines of the small room and move as far as necessary (staying against the wall) to get a clear line of sight on the furthest of the monsters. He will then snap his finger and make a sweeping gesture to cast Eldritch Blast at it. (Attack: 20 Damage: 4 force)
Nicolas, you can't move far enough for the piercer not to have cover from the halflings. Because of the encumbrance of your pack (and your waterskin?), you can only get 10 feet along the wall to the right of the door after moving past Torrent and Ash. Luckily, there are gaps between the stunned halflings, and your crackling beam of force just slips through them, penetrating the creature's thick carapace. Upon being attacked, the monster excretes a foul smelling slime from the base of its body, hoping it will encourage you to leave it alone to finish its meal.
Ash, you're in one of the two spaces in front of the door. Would you like to take any movement?
Aluzira, you're in the space next to Remacle and the first creature. You can go ahead and attack with your daggers if you'd like.
Feeling the full force of Nicolas's spell course through its shell, the creature in the back row has an impulse to flee which it tries to get under control so it can enjoy this rare meal. Wisdom save: 2
One of Aluzira's daggers manages to stab the first creature's body, and it too emits a disgusting smelling slime and continues to feed as does the one in the middle of the group of halflings.
The halflings too, surprised and seeing that a full quarter of their number have been suddenly killed by this attack from above, also feel panic coming over them.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Well, that would display as one save, and they actually had to make two separate saves, one for being surprised and another for having lost a quarter of the group. The DCs are very low for this group however because of their loyalty to each other.
The creature in the back row decides it has had its fill of halfling and begins sliding like a snail on a trail of mucus counter-clockwise around the back of the group and towards the nearest wall. It isn't very fast, however, and only reaches the spot behind the halfling farthest towards the back (Halfling 11).
Halfling 11, eyes wide with fear, falls back away from his fallen companion and towards the nearest wall, hurling a sling stone back at the fleeing piercer.
Attack: 8 Damage: 5
The rest of the halflings stand their ground and attack the piercers with ferocity.
Remacle draws his shortsword and attacks the one next to Aluzira.
Attack: 22 Damage: 6
Medard attacks the same one with his spear.
Attack: 16 Damage: 8
Halfling 3, on the other side of Aluzira, attacks the piercer in the middle with his shortsword.
Attack: 15 Damage: 7
Halfling 5, who has only a sling, takes a step back towards Nicolas and slings a bullet at the first piercer.
Attack: 12 Damage: 2
Halflings 6 and 10 close to attack the fleeing piercer with their spears.
Attack: 14 Damage: 4
Attack: 18 Damage: 4
Halfling 7 tries to stab the middle piercer with her spear.
Attack: 19 Damage: 9
And Halfling 9 also attacks the middle piercer using a shortsword.
(DM Question - are we in initiative order still or free movement? Anakis is way at the back of initiative order with Tarek and Torrent, and I think we're up next if we're still in initiative order, is that correct?)
Yes, we’re still in combat, following initiative order. Anakis, Tarek, and Torrent’s turns will be resolved next, but everyone can post what they want to do on their turn before the piercers and halflings go again, just to keep things moving.
Edit to add: If you're at the top of the initiative (Aluzira, Ash, and Nicolas), feel free to wait until the other players have posted their actions if you want, but if anyone has a limited window for posting, go ahead and post!
Anakis moves to a spot where she can clearly see the creature fleeing, "Oh no you don't!" Flames wrap around her hand as she raises it, pointing at the creature and hurling a fire bolt at it.

Tarek, filled with divine anger towards the piercers, screams a curse as he hurls a javelin toward the middle piercer (Attack: 13 Damage: 7). He'll then squeeze around Anakis, Remacle, and the other halflings to get within striking range of the same piercer. As he approaches the piercer, he clutches his holy symbol, and says in a wrathful tone, "By the power of the Bright Spirit, I say unto thee, depart!" (Intimidation if needed: 8).

Yes, she can make it there with her move. Make your melee attacks.

Ash will summon demonic energy from his....patron, and form it into an armour of frost that covers his body (armor of agathys)

Aluzira, you're in the space next to Remacle and the first creature. You can go ahead and attack with your daggers if you'd like.
Also, Nicolas, that should have been a d10 damage die for eldritch blast. You can roll it again, and we'll take the better of the two rolls.
(OOC - Oops. My bad. Thanks for looking out. Damage: 9)
(Right! Thanks! Sorry for the delay.)
After making her way into the main room next to Mr. Remacle, Aluzira quickly swings her daggers at one of the stalactite creatures.

And Halfling 9 also attacks the middle piercer using a shortsword.
Attack: 6 Damage: 6
The nearest piercer lies dead, its shell demolished by Medard's spear and its eye punctured by Halfling 5's bullet.
The middle piercer remains where it is, although the sting of Halfling 7's lucky spear strike has given it cause to reconsider.
And the farthest piercer is still fleeing slowly towards the wall.
What do you all do?
