Hatch will go for the webbed elf, praying that his companions will put their effort into slaying the other before he can flee into the cave.

Elf's dagger left a scratch on chitin-covered body of the spider but Lidale ignored the pain and attacked again (the one stuck in the web)

Brocc continues after the fleeing drow... He has his spider-mount move to catch it. (If the drow dashes ignore the force wrend below, as the spider would dash to cash up...)
Brocc strikes with his lance..

Banzos light darts thudded into the fleeing drow, as Lindale lunged at the fleeing elf then struck at the enwebbed dark elf who desperately dodged away...
The elf struck back at her desperately unable to free himself under the barrage.

As the trapped dark elf slashed at Spider-Lindale Hatch ran over and buried his axe in his back, killing him instantly.
Broccs spider ran after the fleeing elf and Brocc managed to strike him with his lance tumbling him to the ground before he could move beyond the entry cave....all is quiet....
Lindale really did not like improper form-change happening when the animal form was harmed beyond it resolve. "They do know how to cut." She was nursing her wounded arm and tried not to look at the dead bodies. "Should we check inside some more?" Without waiting for the answer she went after Brocc's spider that was already deeper in the cavern.

“Seems like we got them all, but I suppose we best scout a bit further in, just to be sure.” Brocc says as he glances around.
"Let's check the bodies before we go in. Perhaps they have written orders or a map or something else that may give us a clue as to the details of this affair," Hatch suggested, already beginning the search.
Investigation: 19
A rough search of the men reveals nothing more than their daggers and armour made of a strange iridescent leather. They both appear relatively young for elves with silver hair and grey features with bright green cat-like eyes. They both wear similar brooches to the one found earlier.
If Lindale assists with the search:
You realise that neither of the two dark elves is carrying any House emblems.
Hatch was right in his suggestion and as ... troublesome as she felt searching the dead bodies that small detail seemed to be useful. "This is strange - neither of them is carrying any House emblems. A rogue faction? Or they afraid to attract attention of the surfacers?"

Brocc waits while the others check the bodies. "I don't know enough about their kind to answer that." he says with a shrug at the mention of not having house symbols.
"It's okay Banzo, it's only a scratch and I know it was an accident. Easy to misjudge things in the confusion of battle. I'm just thankful no one got hurt worse than we did. Speaking of, if anyone needs it I can Lay on Hands to heal, just let me know.
"Perhaps we are lucky then, and they don't have the might of their city behind them as feared. Not a guarantee, but a reassurance nonetheless. Means if it is just a small band, then closing off this cave should stop the raids. Anyways, they won't be needing these daggers, so I say we pocket them and sell them, unless someone here can use a couple blades."
"Truly just a scratch here too, not worth the healing magic," nodded Lindale meaning her minor injury too. "And I certainly hope you are right about small band. But better to be cautious anyway. May be not too far, just to make sure no one is watching." They had to go inside and search for the best places to distribute charges anyway.

"Then with all caution, deeper into the cave we go," Hatch said, pocketing the dark elves daggers and moving ahead into the cave.
The group moved further into the caves, following the same path Lindale had the previous day...except inverted...when it opened out into the larger cavern there was no sign of the beetle or the elves she had described. The cave was obviously well used, scuffed earth and discarded pieces of food ( mostly pieces of mushrooms and strange dark dried meat.)
From here a large tunnel dropped down into the earth at a steep angle, there were hook-like impressions headed down it...Lindale guesses from the beetle.
There are a number of smaller tunnels leading out but none look to have been much used by anything larger than a rodent.
Lindale looked into some tunnels, squinting into darkness. "Seems empty. Shall we call the miners? We can go inside, I guess, and truly access the threat but... Not sure it's wise."

"Seems cleared." Brocc says as he looks around. "Let's get those miners in here to do whatever they are going to do so that the dark elves cannot use this tunnel again..."
"I'll stay by the cave." Lindale did just that - stayed close by looking and listening. (Perception: 8 )

"I'll stand watch here while someone goes get the miners. We'll guard as they work. We don't need to know all the ins and outs of this cave, we just need to close it off."
Banzo headed off to fetch the work crew while the others stood watch, after some time Banzo and the crew reached the cave entrance.

As the others watched the entrance to the deeper delving they fancied they could hear distant voices growing louder by the second, someone...a group of someones was coming up the tunnel...
"Best get done what you are going to do, quickly." Brocc informs the miners. "Sounds like a group is coming up from below..."
