The group gathered their belongings and boarded the Boon-Nam, captained by a very rotund Man-Orc called Prayuth Ocha with an enormous shock of black bushy hair.
" So....you are the ones who made the river safe once more? Good to have you aboard!"
" Its quicker downstream so we should be in Chalice late tonight.....as long as there are no issues."
The barge pulled away from the dock and began the journey downstream towards Chalice leaving the group many hours to chat.
.......................
Evening began to close in as the barge drew closer to Chalice the rocky scrubby banks became shadowed and dark and one fancied they could see shapes moving along the banks keeping pace with the barge....
"oy, captain, have you noticed...? Surely you have more experience than us... What is happening?"
Prayuth poked his head out of the cabin, " Probably goblins, they shouldn't bother us too much unless we pull up on shore, just don't stand in front of the lights...they're decent with bows."

Zeltheris raises his horn to his lips and lets loose a loud long blast before facing one of the shadows and creating the minor illusion of a goblin impaled on a spike on the deck in front of him.
"Would think the hillmen would keep goblins to a minimum around here." Brocc remarks as he stays seated next to his spider mount, not wanting to make himself a target for archers.

There is a sudden loud chorus of shrieks and gasps and loud cries in a language none of you understand, and then one, slight familiar to some, voice in Common calls out, " Crikey! Thats bloody brutal that is....Lets steer clear of this mob. They're off the fraggin' chain."
The shadows on the banks fade into the dark and soon enough the lights of Chalice can be seen ahead.
Prayuth comes out on deck, " You got room and board organised?"
"Nothing set up currently, we were planning on returning to one of the inns we had stayed at previously, where we should be able to get a room without trouble." Brocc says as he glances to the captain of the ship. "Do you have another option for us?"
"No, not in particular...then again, home's a lot worse for some than others..." Hatch said to Banzo as he too looked out at the light of Chalice. "Much better than home it is."

The portly bargeman shook his head, " Not me. The Lions pretty good, or the Frog if your short on cash."
The moon was high overhead by the time the barge pulled up to the docks and the companions disembarked. The streets were quiet and only scattered individuals and couples walked the streets near the docks.

"We are asking about barges leaving...but have we even decided where we are going yet?" Hatch says, asking the obvious question.
"Life is a river always flowing," quotes Shalana who is feeling completely refreshed and oiled.

"Back to town." Brocc says with a frown. "Seems the logical destination, we can resupply and decide where to go next from there."
Herman takes his trunk, made of all sort of outdoor equipment, and he ready to go
Zeltheris hums happily, following the group wherever fate may take them.

"Bless the Iris for the Goblin has ascended," says the mechanical man, going back to his prayer of ones and zeros.

"Which of the inns do you guys wish to go to?" Brocc asks the others as they walk away from the docks.
Zeltheris nods, "We can probably get better tips there as well when I tell the tale of your heroics."
"Anywhere, sleep is just sleep when no one shares your bed." Follows wherever the others lead.
"The Lion it is then." Brocc agrees, leading in that direction.
