Brocc grunts in amusement. "The throne is just something that makes you look pretty." He says with a shake of his head. He nods to the others. "Shall we move onward or shall I take time to actually identify this spear as well?" He would be casting the spell as a ritual this time around, just as an fyi.
"Moving on then." Brocc says, glancing after their running friend. he settles himself atop his mount and has the spider move in that direction as well.
"Only affects you as long as you stay on the chair." Brocc says over his shoulder with a smile, seeing the bard take a seat. "Might be worth something to the right buyer though..."
Zeltheris feels no real difference as he sits in the chair, the others note his locks are particularly resplendant and there is healthy glow in his cheeks as they leave the room following the turtle-man with the only light source.
Zeltheris is suddenly alone in the dark as Banzo disappears through the lefthand archway.
......
Banzo thuds down a wide stone corridor past a half dozen or so closed doors followed by the others until he comes to a set of stone doubledoors that are slightly ajar. There is a small amount of dust hanging in the air just where the opening is....it is likely whatever happened did so just beyond these doors.
What is the place like overall? Is there dust covering everything, footprints in that dust, does it look neglected and like no one has been here for hundreds of years, or does it look free of dust and as if recently lived in?

There's a fair amount of dust everywhere, nothing looks touched for the most part though there are small animal tracks in a fair few areas, the stone-work is cracked in a lot of places but this area at least doesn't look dangerously unstable.
This entry area and corridor at least don't seem to have seen any living thing larger than a badger in a very long time.
"Slow down there." Brocc says, trying to get their companion to wait for the rest of them. "Look around, nothing has been here but critters in a very long time." He nods to the door ahead. "Whatever is in there, is not likely some person in need of our aid, unless they have been there for many many years already. A little caution is not going to make their wait that much longer."
Garet mused and the exclaimed "The signs show that nothing has come this way for a long time who knows how many entrances there are to this place. Whatever is behind that door may be a recent addition or it may be centuries old."
"Anyway let's take a peak" drawing his weapons Garet advances to the ajar double doors and takes a peak inside. If the light from spell isn't sufficient he sheaths his shortsword and lights his hand lamp
Garet was just about to peak in before Banzo steps up and grips the stone door.
Garet sheaths his rapier and does what he can to help and through gritted teeth says. "Ah this reminds me of a time when I had to help my shipmate Bruce rescue a war Banner from a nasty tribe of Hobgoblins."
Sweating from his efforts Garet marvelled at the incredible strength of the Tortle.

Garet is able to determine that the air within is full of stone-dust, he can little out even with the hand lamp.
"You're right of course Brocc. It was probably a rat or something maybe setting off a trap or a decaying piece of stone that finally gave way."
Banzo tries to peek over Garet's shoulder, "What is it? Do you see anything?"
Banzo begins to feel along the stone for any ridges, indentations, or wires. Also checking right beside the stone doors on either side for hidden panels, buttons, or switches.
Investigation check: 12
There appear to be no hidden switches, alcoves or triggers that Banzo can find.
Banzo grabs ahold of the stone door that is ajar and asks Garet, "Here, help me get this open so we can all explore and be ready for traps. That may of been what that noise was, an old trap that got sprung or failed due to age."
Athletics check: 22
(rolled with advantage due to help from Garet, if he is doing something else then Banzo will wait for someone else to Help before rolling so that it would still be with advantage)
(you may not of noticed before, not having many tortles to compare, but Banzo is a freaking beast (STR 16) and he has an Incredible Hulk physique. All that cardio from lugging around his thick shell everywhere, along with anything else he is carrying. lol)
Garet was just about to peak in before Banzo steps up and grips the stone door.

The stone door pulls open with a grinding sound as fragments of stone are dragged and crushed beneath it....peering through the companions see that most of the chamber beyond has collapsed in upon itself. The air hangs with fine white suspension .
A number of skeletons, partially crushed, lie on the ground just beyond the door jamb....
"Well, doesn't look like those guys are going to be needing our help." Brocc says dryly, as he looks at the crushed skeletons. "I wonder if I should go in alone, with my mount here, and take a look around." He glances to the others. "I would hate for us all to be caught in another cave in. If I go, then you guys can dig me out if the roof falls in on me again."
With the bard's agreement, Brocc nudges his spider mount forward and enters the dust-filled chamber ahead.
Perception: 9 Survival: 3 Guidance bonus for the above: 1
Brocc heads in to the chamber as the others hold their light sources as high as possible, however once he enters the chamber it is very difficult to make out anything through the dust, the spider loses its footing a few times on the uneven floor and Brocc comes close to tottering off a couple of times.
When he reaches the middle of the chamber he is able to make out darker areas at the rear of the chamber that might be corridors....it is difficult to breath with all the stone dust hanging in the air.
...................
Back at the door the others determine the skeletons are dwarven but the remains are too old to determine much of how they passed.
Moving back to the others, Brocc coughs dust from his lungs. "Looks like passages lead on further." He announces. "Should we wait for the dust to settle some, or head across?" He pats the spear in his pack. "I could identify this if we want to wait here for a bit, and let the dust settle so we can see better in there."
Garet tying a strip of his already travel stained and worn clothing and uses it a mask to prevent as much inhalation as possible, makes his way into the room towards Brocc and Banzo.
"I'm for pressing on into hopefully safer ground, unless anyone has any sort of magic which could make the dust settle quicker or clear the air."
Garet was always in awe of magic users having no inclination in the magic arts he respected those who did thinking their talents had no bounds.
Zeltheris shakes his head, "There are spells, but I don't have any them. I say give it a chance to settle while we learn what the spear does, if the dust doesn't settle by then, we can just move on."
Brocc grunts in amusement. "The throne is just something that makes you look pretty." He says with a shake of his head. He nods to the others. "Moving on then." Brocc says, glancing after their running friend. he settles himself atop his mount and has the spider move in that direction as well.
Zeltheris will briefly sit on the chair, because that temptation is too much to pass by, before following the others onward.
"Only affects you as long as you stay on the chair." Brocc says over his shoulder with a smile, seeing the bard take a seat. "Might be worth something to the right buyer though..."

Zeltheris follows at the rear of the group, humming a little tune as he awaits the heroes to choose their path.
