After some time, and judicious use of magic, the air clears in the chamber revealing three corridors on the far side leading off one ahead and two at 45 degree angles either side.
"It is a spear that allows itself to be thrown, then return to your hand." Brocc says with a nod to the spear. "It also has some magic that makes it more likely to hit and do more damage than a normal spear." (I.E. is a +2 weapon. I also am not including anything about the curse, as identify would not give us that information.) "Does someone wish to use it?" He asks the group at large.
"Left seems fine to me." Brocc answers in regard to which tunnel to check out first.
Garet takes a deep breath and speaks "I have all the weapons I need, I have no room for another. Give it to somebody who doesn't already have a magical weapon and could make best use of it." Garet looks wistfully at the spear but then his hand strays unconsciously to his rapier, touching it almost reassuringly.
All at once he seems to come out of his reverie "Left seems as good as any," He says starting down towards the left hand path.
Zeltheris shakes his head, "I prefer to fight with words." As they head to the left tunnel, he turns around and marks the tunnel they came from with a green circle and the tunnel their taking with a red x. Prestidigitation 5th option.
Heading down the left hand tunnel with Banzos glowing dagger lighting the way the companions see yet more doors along the way; some ten or so on either side.
The stone here seems much more stable and secure as they move along.
The corridor ends at a spiral staircase that leads down into the earth, there are a large number of blacks smears on the steps leading down...
Ooc I am not able to add that spear to the inventory, simply cannot find it, how comes? Maybe some content issue? I have only the basic access
Herman is troubled by the presence of all these doors but he is also a little excited to find out:
"We'd better open some of these doors. In my opinion, since they all look the same, they might be cellars or little rooms, I am not an architect but..."

( Not a worry. I've added it to your sheet as a +2 spear. I've noted down that it will attack you if you roll a 1. That'll do.)
The companions clear each door on their way through, listening carefully then bursting in.....by the fifth one or so they begin to feel a bit silly doing so but continue on to be safe.
The majority of the rooms are simple rooms with a single stone cot with a stiff linen matress atop. A stone chest sits at the end of each cot ( checking them each one contains somewhat perished tunics and socks and sundry personal items ( polished stones, small carvings, dwarven romance novels etc.) )
There are also heavy leather boots and armoured aprons hanging up on the back of the door.
Two of the rooms are ablutions closets with water tumbling out of a vent in the ceiling and down through a grid in the floor with basins and other receptacles containing pots of rancid oil and small balls of some sort of shiny mineral on the edges.
All of the rooms are faintly lit by tiny dimly glowing red crystals set into the ceiling.
"Need to be careful." Brocc says, continuing to check the doors until it is finished. He nods in appreciation of a job well done, then would be ready to move onward. "Nothing here of interest, let's keep going."
Garet turns to the group "This looks like Blood, however l can discern little else, it could be fresh or it could be ancient it could be our missing dwarves or something more sinister. There is a lot of it though so I say we proceed with caution"
Garet makes his way to the spiral staircase hand lamp and rapier at the ready waiting on the others before decending.

"ok Banzo. Brocc you learned about that spear?"
Ooc meaning can we read the spoiler

Herman mumbles
"mhhh... I can use it..."
And he takes it, pondering it in his hands, if none else wants it
Zeltheris shakes his head, "I prefer to fight with words." As they head to the left tunnel, he turns around and marks the tunnel they came from with a green circle and the tunnel their taking with a red x. Prestidigitation 5th option.

Brocc would wish to look into each room before passing them by...
Zeltheris would encourage the others to check each room as he stands several feet back while they do so.

"Agreed a very strange place and we should press on with caution."
Garet goes toward the spiral staircase examining the black smears by using his Dagger to extract a small amount.

Zeltheris looks at one of the crystals thoughtfully for a moment before using his dagger to try and pry it out.
Zeltheris levers out the red crystal from its socket, as it drops into his palm it stops glowing.
Garets examination of the stains leads him to conclude that they are probably blood, though how old or what kind he has no idea.
The only way on from here his down the stairs or back to the collapsed room.
"Down the stairs then." Brocc agrees, nudging his spider mount towards the stairway.
Zeltheris sighs and drops the crystal, following the others again.
