Rufus flashes his the devil may care grin at the shopkeeper at the compliment. He nods at the guard as he catches the change in his stance at the relevation of where the treasures came from. He says, "So we be at 380 gold pieces for the lot? I be liking dealing in even numbers. It be easier to split the booty amongst the crew like. Can ye do 400 for the lot? If ye do, we be bringing Jethro the riches from our next venture to view first to be sure. Aye. What say ye?" Rufus flashes his friendly grin once more with a twinkle in his eye.

" 400......and that jar of eggs."
"Deal, but if you intend to sell the eggs one by one as edible souvenirs from that dungeon, I must insist you make sure they're, um, still safe for human consumption," Hatch said, putting his hand out to shake on the deal.
Tom would've been watching intently at the others, thoroughly enjoying himself on this fine morning in the city. It seems surreal that the previous day he was alongside his comrades up in a flying dungeon... and today they are peacefully walking the streets in the city they saved, about to spend some money.
Tom is quite impressed at the way Brocc, Hatch and Rufus deal with the shopkeeper. He would let the experts handle this type of thing. He would send a smile and a nod to the shopkeeper after the deal was done and then say to the others when we got outside again "Wow gents, that was some mighty fine bartering! Now, how much will that give us each? I'm itchin' to take a look at some wares!"

" Human consumption.....Thats more his line of things.", the old man said giggling as he shook hands.
For his part the man-orc just rolled his eyes.
" Going to have to reset these stones....unless Hog House is looking for some more relics....", he muttered to himself as the companions departed out the front door.
With the gems sold, Hatch proceeded to dole out the earnings equally among them. Adding the 30 gold already in the sack with the 400 they just made, that was 86 gold pieces for each of them. The rest of the treasure in the bag came out to 36 copper and 8 silver each. (We each still have one ruby apiece we didn't get to sell.)
"I say we get the ring identified, and then buy any weapons, armor, or supplies we need. I could probably go for heavier armor," Hatch said.
Rufus turns to his comrades with a wide smile upon his round face. He says, "Surely, it be a grand day lads. We be having some real coin in our hands to be sure. Aye. Did ye hear Jethro mention Hog House and they may be seeking relics? Perhaps the makings of our next venture be there? What say we visit them after our provisioning?" Rufus flashes a grin at the prospect of a new adventure.
"Or perhaps better we can keep them in mind when we need relics identified, such as the ring. I'm not much for adventure just for adventure's sake. If I'm to risk my life it should be for a worthy cause. Saving a life be worth doing, finding some knick knack or trinket of a wizard's hoard is more just what happens along the way, but not the point of doing the thing," Hatch said, the somewhat dour paladin sharing his view. "That said, it never takes long before someone's in trouble and in need if help, dangerous world we live in."
"Maybe we should have everyone put in some gold and purchase a pearl." Brocc suggest to the group. "With one of those I can identify the ring for us, and anything else we find on our travels after this."
"Thanks Hatch! Very much appreciated." Tom thanks Hatch for splitting up all of the coins and agrees with Rufus in that this is turning out to be a fine day indeed. "More adventure you say...? Adventure is what I am seeking my friends! I just didn't think it would be so intense off the bat." Thom winks. He appreciates Rufus's eagerness for adventure and also respects Hatch's calm and cool demeanor. He thinks this little group they've formed will be quite formidable in the battles ahead as they get to know each other more and play off each others strengths.
He would also chip in for the pearl for Brocc, so let me know if I need to remove gold.
(DM - Tom has a few items, weapons and armor he wants to purchase. Do you want me to role play it, like go to Armoury Lane, talk to the shopkeepers, barter, make a deal, etc. or shall I just tell you what I want and do the math accordingly? I will also be selling a few items as well. I am totally happy to role play it, so just let me know either way)

OOC: Feel free just to do the exchanges/math at the market stalls unless your looking for above average gear.
Ok great... Selling will of course be at 1/2 price for used items (ie. selling leather armor, buying studded leather).
Tom bought the best looking studded leather armor he could find, and he stocked up his arrows. He also bought a healing potion. This left him with 107 gold in change. He looks to the others: "Guys, let me buy the pearl for us. I had a good amount of coin before even coming here... I can afford it."
Thom would buy the pearl, the entire 100gp. Hatch I removed the gold from my sheet so you can put it back if you already removed it from yours.
So Tom has a few coins left. Just what I was hoping for :)
Rufus has nothing he wishes to buy. He travels in his sailcloth clothing and carries his belongings, other then those in his pockets or on his belt, rolled up in a bundle inside his bedroll. He would accompany the others on their shopping and spend away his coins on creature comforts such as sweets, food, tobacco, and wine.

(400 divided by 5 is 80!)

Rufus says, "Surely, that be a good investment. Will your spell consume the pearl or can it be used more than once, Brocc?"
OOC:
Pearls can be bought from back inside Jethros or any of the jewellry stores or even the stalls selling jewellry, lots of river pearls available.
Arms and armour can be purchased from some of the stalls, if your looking for quality stuff people will point you towards Armoury Lane.
Hatch turns to the nearest stall, quickly buys a pearl, and hands it over to Brocc.
(Just let me know how much it was)

"The pearl is not consumed." Brocc says and nods his thanks as it is purchased and handed to him.
"I just need to purchase a couple items." Brocc says to the others. "A shield and a hand crossbow. Shall we head to that shop we were told about?"
OOC: 100gp.

Ouch that pearl is expensive!

(What's above average gear? Hatch is going to try and get the best armor he can get his hands on now.)
(You didn't have to, but if you're sure)
Hatch thanked Thom for purchasing the pearl, then headed for and into one of the better looking armor shops intent on getting some better armor.
