"Run thy sword across my chains, Silver Lady, that I may join your dance.”
Garet a little put out by the faith shown to the newcomer had he lead them wrong previously, but he recognised it for what it was Tzedaka trying to bring the best out of someone, he readied himself as the entered the door.
Leigh gratefully steps aside to let Ian lead the way. He has full confidence in Ian after seeing his impressive strength and decisive decision making earlier. Leigh notices the others lingering and checks in as they check out the sword and string.
along the corridor Herman asks the newcomers, not talking too loud
so, how did you end up here?
In a hushed voice Leigh replies "I left my village to explore the world, see what wonders the animal kingdom has to offer. To observe and protect. I thought I would be stopping poachers, not caged myself. Learnt the hard way that travelling alone is madness and there are evils abound that I had never conceived."
Thinking about what Enwynn just said, "Eenwynn, may I see de box and string?" She seems to pray for a moment in celestial (Guidance): She will examine the box for hidden compartments, look at the bottom closely, and inside of the box and for any clues to a labyrinth. She will compare it to her scroll for any similarities in make, materials, etc. (Perception with guidance:21 plue 2)
She looks at Banzo. "I wonder if you tie dis string to de sword, if it vil fly?" she says, curiously.
It seems it is just a box....and not a well made one at that.
After Leigh finishes, and while looking over the box, without looking at Leigh, "Der are also powers of good and virtue in dis vorld and above it, trying to balance tings of evil dat you might not know, even if it is right in front of you." After examining the box of string she hands Leigh a loose rock from the ground. As she places it in his hand, she utters a single word in Celestial, and the rock glows with bright light (a slightly yellowish hue, the color of the sun at mid-day): Light: You touch one object that is no larger than 10 feet in any dimension. Until the spell ends, the object sheds bright light in a 20-foot radius and dim light for an additional 20 feet. The light can be colored as you like. Completely covering the object with something opaque blocks the light. The spell ends if you cast it again or dismiss it as an action, lasts 1 hour).
"Der is always light fighting darkness," she says, smiling at him with eyes of strength and unbreakable confidence.
Though he knows there is no heat from it, Leigh feels a warmth in his hand. He swallows hard and holds back a tear, it feels like a lifetime since he saw the sun. Gripping the stone he pockets it carefully, treating it like delicate treasure. Unable to get the words out to thank her for this kindness, he bows instead and then busies himself in getting ready to go through the door after Ian.
Hearing no sound coming from the other side of the door, you tum the handle and enter.
You enter a strange, pear-shaped room with a rough stone floor. There is another door in the far wall and on one side of the room there is a pile of rubble.
There is something unusual about the rubble and you note each stone has a small creature lying asleep on it with batlike ears and a long nose, and wearing only a loin cloth, there are about thirty creatures in total. A dagger and a pouch are tucked into most of the loin cloths.

The Troglodyte is found throughout Khul, and are a race of diminuitive goblin-like creatures ranging from the mountains of Kazan, to the rocky islands of the Inland Sea. It is believed they were a part of the long fallen goblin empire of Khul, perhaps a priestly caste in the dawn eons.
All Troglodytes in Allansia are descended from the colony that Lord Sukamvit had brought over to be installed into Deathtrap Dungeon, but troglodytes are small and inquisitve and have spread out from Fang at a prodigious rate. They worship a god supposedly composed of gold and they will collect any gold they can to add into a statue that they will worship with song dance and progression.....it is thought by some that they believe if they can make the statue big enough then their god will appear and grant them their greatest wish.

Tzedaka stays near the back, focusing her action for something to happen. Seeing the little guys seem to be drawing others' attention, she tries to focus on other parts of the room, walls, floor, and ceiling for anything out of the ordinary. (Perception: 22
Garet wishing he had spent more time studying during his classes in the Thieves Guild in Blacksand rather than dreaming of the next adventure, couldn't place the creatures, although he thought with their numbers it may be prudent to sneak by.

Leigh knows from personal experience during his time in The Forest of Spiders that where you find Trogs you find giant golden statues......so either they only just arrived and haven't started building yet or something has happened to their 'god'.

Leigh confers with the others in a low voice as to not disturb the sleeping creatures.
"Good eye Banzo, I have observed their kind before while in The Forest of Spiders. They worship a god of gold and build statues in its honor. The lack of one here suggests either they have just arrived or something has happened to their statue. Would it be worth trying to negotiate with them? Work together to retrieve or obtain gold for their statue?"
"Who among you is best at negotiating? Would it be prudent to check the far door first for traps or if it locked in case we need to get away quickly?" Leigh asks, unable to hide the anxiety of being swarmed.
Tzedaka whispers in Garets ear, "Shalana could be a statue dey protect, and I can make cher gold and...magic width fire." She smiles at the idea of the little creatures protecting and worshiping Shalana.
"I vill halp you talk to dem." She casts Guidance on Garet. (Maybe have Leigh can cast Guidance on Tzedaka). When they are both ready, she will enter with Garet and approach.
To the rest of the group, "Stay back so dey are not frightened."
Herman, thrilled, likes the idea very much, even if it means he has to go back and carry shalana back from the bench where he placed it just one minute ago
Tzedaka will say something in Celestial, and a very gentle calming warm wind blows around her. Her eyes change color, taking on a slightly glowing golden hue. (OOC: Thaumaturgy: to try to create calmness and perhaps gain advantage in persuasion?)
She puts her finger to her mouth and looks at the others (be quiet) and then takes her small hand and grabs Garets. "Tannin, come width us."
She then quietly and calmly walks toward the creatures with Garet and Tannin until they are 10 feet away so as to give them space. She projects peacefulaltruistic calmness and confidence.
"Hello my sleepy friends." she says in an almost benevolent grandmother voice. "Ve are chere to halp you."
Banzo runs inside.
It seems it is just a box....and not a well made one at that.
The sword shows zero signs of becoming airborne.
