"What was close by..."
Banzo inquires with interest.
"And is the Necromancer responsible for it not being any more?"
" Nothing. They're good drinkers and know how to throw down."
" Some old prospector......got ancy when we asked if he had any liquor. Accused us of trying to take his gold and threw a rock at Belly, now Guncy didn't take to that so went to the water barrel to tip it over the old idiots head and the fella went nuts and came at us with a knife......."
" Anyway.....self defence and all.....still....too late now...."
" Why? What are you lot up to?"
" Necromancer? What Razaak? He's dead isn't he? "
"If Razaak is dead then maybe there's another necromancer in the area."
Banzo is beginning to wonder if their info on the necromancer is outdated.
"Have you seen or heard anything about undead in the nearby areas?"
A heavily scarred older Gark came over scratching herself....
" Undead? There was a group of walking corpses a few weeks back but they attacked a Hill Giant called Grunwill.....that did not go their way at all."
" Theres a vampire that hunts these hills according to the halflings but I've never seen it myself....."
" There's a pack of dwarven ghouls holed up in an old mine a few days north of here, but they only kill idiots who go too close to the entry so no ones ever bothered to go clear them out."
Can you tell us how to arrive to these 3 places?
"Yes indeed if you please," Banzo adds enthusiastically, "we mean to end the threat of necromancy and have tracked it here, any help you could provide that narrows our search would be greatly appreciated."
" Hmmm, well Grunwills hillfort is about a day to the North East.....but those dead boys are all paste now."
" As for the blood sucker.....no idea....camp outside without a fire and maybe it will find you?"
" The ghouls- aren't close.......a few days to the North."
Turning to his allies Banzo asks, "What do you think... visit Chalice first since we're so close before seeking out the necromancer, who could be a day or two travel's distance away?"
" If you have news that Razaak is back again he might be at his complex.......its collapsed and buried and no one goes near the place but its to9 the east a few days...."
"Any landmarks near his complex that would let us know we're in the right area?"
Banzo will shrug as he addresses his allies, "It might be worth making sure Razaak isn't back and that his complex no longer poses a danger."
