"Yes." Banzo readily shows his tattoo for inspection. "They appeared after the fight with the demon."
Yaztromo inspected it, " You've annoyed someone....one of the Night Demon Princes I would guess from the iconography. Which demon did you banish? Did you catch the name?"
Garet stows the potions into his backpack looking to share them amount amongst the group later. "I believe the Demon's name was Pelucidus." He muttered still somewhat in awe of the legendary Wizard.

Yaztromo nods, " The tattoo is the symbol of the Night Demon Shakor one of the Seven Demon Princes of The Pit Second only to the Trio of Serpent Princes. The four Night Demons are immensely powerful beings...and it appears you have the attention of one of them...."
A broad grin crosses Zeltheris’s face, “Truly! This is amazing! I couldn’t have come up with a better tale. Well, I probably could have, but this is still great!”
Yaztromo regards Zeltheris with a peculiar expression, " Well, I must say that is not the usual reaction to finding one has been marked as prey by a Demon Prince."
"This is most disturbing!" Banzo laments, "How do we get rid of these unnatural markings?"
Banzo rubs at it mildly, just enough to smudge it if it could be smudged, but somehow knowing that it would be ineffectual against a demon mark.

"A rightful place awaits you in the Realms Above, in the Land of the Great Light. Come in peace, and live beneath the sun again, where trees and flowers grow."
— The message of Eilistraee to all decent drow.
"Run thy sword across my chains, Silver Lady, that I may join your dance.”

Yaztromo looked to Girior who shrugged helplessly, turning back to the companions he harrumphed, " Well...I suppose getting on the good side of a God couldn't hurt.....a major temple might be able to remove it...."
Enwynn looks to Madam Girior, understanding dawning on her face as she replies "I am glad to know that...ah, steam bathing is to be found in Chalice."with only a short hesitation as she searches her memory for the phrase in common tongue then adds in more courtly tone "I would be pleased to accept your invitation, but perhaps it had best wait until other matters have been addressed?"
Her reply to Gareth is a wry smile and an answer of "If that is your decision as well as Corwyn's, then I will abide by it, and I am grateful for the tutor in cunning bestowed on me by it." then adds in a heartfelt murmur "Goddess knows I need one with this lot..."
The elf nods as she agrees with the wizard whose wisdom has been the secret weapon of many heroes, including herself in the past and offers "So I have been told, but little else of substance."then falls silent, in an attempt to encourage those who know more to speak.
Her regret in doing so after an oddly undaunted response from Zeltheris to the ire of a demon prince is partly paid for by the insight into the bard's blithe attitude, and the key to his attention it gives her. Garet and Banzo's informative replies to Gareth's questions are a glimmer of hope for all the dire implications that lie within them.
Even if Girior and Gareth cannot deal with such a curse on first sighting, she has faith that the two are cleverer than a demon's malice can outwit in the long run, and more importantly, can suggest who might know more than they do to consult.
"Few gods have any love for demons, and more than a few among their ranks have helped those who defy the schemes of the infernal pit." she replies with perhaps more confidence than she feels in facing another demon to be defeated, but this time she will not be alone but for a bird with sharp eyes for a hidden threat in a shining prize.
"The well of the Goddess Iatro is said to heal many ills. Perhaps She might be the one whose aid we seek?" Enwynn suggests to the assembly, then turns to Girior as she asks "Is there anything to be found in the archives of Chalice that you know of that might tell us more about the slain crystal demon and their scaled master? You never know what scrap of information might be vitally useful later, and I would welcome your knowledge in this task."
She looks to Shalana as she asks "I would also welcome any wisdom you have to offer in this, Sage Shalana." and holds up her hands in supplication as she adds "If stuffing an improving page of your philosophy into an infernal serpent's maw might work to stop their venom flowing, then I will gladly pay for the printing of them."

" The well is a good suggestion. Do you know the way?", Yaztromo asked.
Girior thought and rested her chin in her hand, " I don't recall any mention of demons, well...some of the Demonic Three...but thats mainly related to events during the Trolltooth Wars and it seems that, from what we've been told...that the primal Rock Demon was sealed there long before the dwarves accidentally released it. One of you mentioned Elvish inscriptions around the prison?"
Banzo aids in relating the elvish runes to the other wizards.
"Maybe it was part of a spell that bound the demon."

Banzo and Herman together relate that the inscriptions were mostly a variant form of Elvish and possibly Demonic.
The Elvish portion at least seemed to reflect concepts of restraint, suppression and binding........based on Banzos arcane knowledge the symbols should have been humming with arcane power...they were not.
All three wizards nodded, " Likely the work of Dark Elves.", Girior said. " They have a city in the area and have been active in the past around Darkwood and the Moonstones."
"So I guess it stand's to reason that the dark elves weakened the seal around the demon's prison. They're probably up to something and will have to be dealt with at some point so we might as well add them to our little list of quests."
Banzo doesn't appear to be enthused about having to deal with drow.

Zeltheris, on the other hand, seems almost as excited at that idea as that of facing a demon directly, "The heroes must, once more, descend into the darkness of the earth to face the greater darkness of evil elves and their sinister demonic allies and minions!"
Enwynn nods to Gareth as she replies cheerfully "I know it well, as Erillia's daughter welcomes visits from her mother's followers." but adds in fair caution "Given that it will take some four days to reach Salamonis by horse from here, and I do not know what complications may arise on the way with a demon's malice to contend with."
She listens as Girior gently draws information from the others of previously unknown elven writings, apparently inscriptions of an arcane nature, and her heart sinks as she realizes the implications of a binding broken and a freed demon in the ruins of a Dwarven undercity. The elf again nods in agreement, though not cheerfully this time as she offers "It seems likely they would have an interest in weakening any threats to their own territory. The Elves of the Underdark have no use for Dwarves beyond slavery and sacrifice."
Enwynn stops for a moment and corrects herself "I should point out they have no particular hate for Dwarves, as that is the same treatment any captive can expect from them, but for their estranged kin. Elves they hate above all others, for not choosing to demand obedience of those they term 'The lesser races' as they once attempted to."
She looks apologetically about the table as she adds "There was a war among us over it. They fled from their kin, deep into the depths of the dark beneath the forest and we failed to follow them far enough to put an end to the argument..." then leaves the sentence hanging as she put past shame aside for a better future.
There is no apology in her tone as she suggests "I do not intend to make the same mistake as my ancestors did in overestimating the ability of our kind to properly deal with a corruption of evil among us. Their demon-driven malice respects no borders, and cannot ultimately be defeated by Elves alone. I consider anyone who fights against them as a friend of our kind, and a foe of Evil."
From downstairs there is a sudden high pitched scream followed by voices conversing and then a heavy thud of boots on the stairs before a breathless young dwarf woman dressed in a bright red tunic and khaki green cloak, seeing the assembled wizards and champions she came to a sudden halt and saluted sharply.
" Message for Ennwyn of the Forest and The Heroes of Chalice.", she said as she handed over a bronze scrollcase.

To the retriever of lost treasures and associates,
Your news of the discovery of a lost Dwarven stronghold has been most appeciated. We are eager to send our own expeditionary force to secure the location and would appreciate guidance to its locality.
A detailed report would be appreciated and we hope to meet with your company in Stonebridge at your convenience.
"Hmm, a message from the King. Perhaps this should take precedence over our other concerns."
Banzo thinks for a short moment.
"He might have Sages and others who could possibly know something about this demon business and our strange tattoos."
