Brocc also tries to catch their falling companion:  7 / 17 (rolled twice in case someone 'helps' Brocc.)

Rufus, Tom, and Brocc are all scrambling to stay on the path. Rufus would definitely be assisting in anyway he could.

 OOC: Almost certainly, though if Hatch makes a brilliant roll things could still turn around.

Rufus scrambles up behind Tom with little trouble, as Tom reached the point where he needed to cross over to the other crystal span his foot went wide....

Brocc scrambled up, wobbly from the start, with hatch behind him making sure he didn't fall....as Tom went over Rufus reached for him but his arms were too short.   Hatch reached forward for him desperately and managed to grab Toms hand. Behind him he heard a desperate yelp as Brocc pitched over the side and crashed to the ground.

OOC: 

Ok, Brocc takes 12 falling damage.

I will need a Stealth Roll from Brocc to roll behind cover and escape attention from the Armoured Moles.

OOC: The other three may act as they wish.

(This is not going to go well then, Brocc is at 1 HP, has disadvantage on stealth, and no bonus to stealth...)

As quickly as he could Hatch took the hempen rope from his pack, tied one end to the stalactite, and dropped the other end down to Brocc.

Rufus readied himself for the inevitable conflict with the scavengers. Rufus readies to cast Frostbite should the scavengers become aggresive towards Brocc or the others.

Tom sighted on the Armoured Moles as two of the creatures lifted their pink bloody snouts from the Rock Grub carcass at the sound of Broccs heavy impact and scrabble into cover, sniffing the air they began to advance cautiously sniffing the air.

Hatch dropped his rope down beside Brocc as Rufus prepared himself....

The creatures were hesitant to leave their meal, but seemed to know something was there....they moved slowly towards Brocc lying among the crystal.

If brocc can get to the rope he would start to climb up.

Athletics if needed: 18 guidance: 3

 If Brocc gets a good grip on the rope Hatch will try to haul it and him up.

Strength roll 9

Brocc leaps suddenly upward grasping the rope and climbing arm over arm.....as he does so Hatches muscles bulge pulling the rope up with him...in a matter of moments he is safely above....the Armoured Moles growl and hiss at him but turn away quickly and head back to their meal.

OOC: Nice rolls, Gentlemen.

Hatch Lays on Hands to heal Brocc for 5HP.

Brocc lays there for a long moment, catching his breath.  "Thank you for that." He tells his companion as healing is done.  "that was close..."  Eventually he sits up and nods to the others.  "Shall we continue?"

The group take it easy across the rest of the span using the rope to make sure there is no repeat of the problems on the ascent.

On the other side of the cavern they see areas where the crystals do not grow which show signs of worked stone and some short tunnels into the rock, after some scouting it seems there are two tunnels which go further in one at a very steep angle with a slight warm breeze the smells of sulphur coming from it and another staying level that seems otherwise unremarkable. Both tunnels have bootprints heading in and out.

Hatch heads into the tunnel with the smell and the breeze.
