Heading downwards the scent of metal and sulphur increased and the corridor was sweltering with a hot, dry wind on the companions faces as they descended carefully.....
Eventually the tunnel opened into a larger chamber which was bakingly hot, the companions felt their faces burning from the intense heat....except for Hatch who didn't really notice it.
Rufus his eyes squinted to keep them from drying out in the oppressive heat, looks at the area the others have indicated. He moves cautiously towards the new delving and the distinctive green glow.
Passing beneath the rivulets of magma was a little unnerving but once they were past them the air grew suddenly cool. The walls were dark basalt but occasionally tiny green opal like flecks reflected in the walls.....the occurence of the opaline flecks increased as the delve drove into the basalt....after 100m the tunnel turned sharply right.
Turning the corner they saw an enormous vein of opalescent beauty spanning almost 10m of the tunnel wall....it glimmered in the torchlight like frozen greenish flame.
"Seems like it." Brocc agrees. (DM any checks Brocc should be doing as an Artificer here? Recognizing the strange material, getting some of the material, knowing how to handle the material, etc?)

Arcana: 18
Nature: 12
Even without casting a detection spell it is apparent that the stone has some sort of strong primordial magical nature...he doesn't believe he has seen its like before.
Rufus moves forward as he draws a dagger. He will attempt to scrape some of the stone loose, barring that he'll try to pry some loose. He'll capture the loosened stone within his mess kit.
"Don't take too much, just enough to cover what was asked of us," Hatch said/warned, taking out the 1000 gold and looking for a good place to put up the payment to be found by the dwarves.
It took a little work, luckily the dwarves had mined a small amount of it and there were raw surfaces to use their weapons on. The stone was incredibly resilient and though he managed to collect the amount wanted by both Cy and the wizards Rufus doubted his dagger would ever be of much use again.
Cys payment was place prominently on a rock shelf for the dwarves to find.
Rufus was about to ask the group; but closes his mouth abruptly and follows after Hatch.
"Ok, we are checking this one first it seems." Brocc says, following the others.
(Sorry if I messed up, just figured we'd go down the more interesting path first and have been playing my guy a bit silent/stoic)

Woot fire resistance!
Hatch looks silently about waiting for someone in the group to suggest something.
Perception to find truestone or anything really 11
Hatch notes a new delving protected from the heat and magma, in the tunnel beyond there are faint green glows...
Brocc also looks around to see if he spots anything:
perception: 12 Guidance: 3
Hatch points this out to his companions.
Rufus his eyes squinted to keep them from drying out in the oppressive heat, looks at the area the others have indicated. He moves cautiously towards the new delving and the distinctive green glow.
Brocc heads towards this new dig site as well.
Hatch follows them down to the delving.

Rufus looks at the beautiful stone. He turns to the others, "Be this the stone, you think?"

"Well, it is what we came for, no doubt." brocc says and starts to help get as much of the material as he can into his pack.

Brocc works to get some more, for himself.
