Fen says to the elf woman (I'm guessing I know her name) "I'll be back to pick up my key around lunchtime, I might even work the lunch crowd too for tips [wink]."
He then turns to the group and says "I'm glad to have met you all. Should we aim to meet up down here at the bar a bit before meeting up with Erdan? I'm going to go to the market for some supplies this morning, so if anyone wants a 'Free City Market Tour (tm)' or just wants to join me to buy supplies, you are welcome to join.”
[For the sake of brevity, I was just going to buy 10 gp worth of charcoal, incense, and herbs and another 10 arrows, then come back and get 8 hours rest and come down to bar at around 10:30pm. I wasn't actually going to "work the lunch crowd". I'm happy to RP it out if you want, but also happy to assume that it is a straightforward transaction and return to keep the story moving.]
(What female elf? I think you mean Bonnie? She's human.)
(If you want to work the lunch shift and RP it, you choose. Otherwise, I'll just roll one dice based on a charisma check from you determining your tips.)

@LeviRocks - I meant I wasn't RP sure if you wanted us to RP the shopping trip, as I don't want to slow game down just to buy some simple supplies. I'm ok with RPing it or just assuming that I spend the coin and get supplies (with or without a summary of what happened).
I was going to skip clearing glasses at the lunch shift (I'm not averse to more coin, but don't want to bog game down for it either).
(The elf woman was my bad, I believe I mixed it up from when you had this woman speaking to an Elf woman)
Riznak shakes his head softly, muttering softly "These prime dwellers are so fascinated by one city which cannot even shift shapes at will. Such quaint little minds they have." Using his invisible mage hand to make sure his mustache and beard are still slick and together before making his way up to the room to retire until their gathering happened.
Fen says to everyone and to no-one in particular, "Fantastic, a shopping trip it is, let us be off and tell me where you would like to go" and heads out of the tavern walking towards the market.
He gives a running commentary about the areas he passes, filling in gaps in his knowledge with very obvious facts or assumptions ("see that building over there? It is very old, probably once owned by a noble, but is now in disrepair" etc.).
Fen is looking initially for a ‘weapons store’ and/or fletcher. Let me know if any rolls are needed.
[I’m thinking his commentary/tour is the same as what you get when you visit ex-pat friends overseas who have been living in a new city for a few years. They definitely don’t have in depth knowledge built up over decades, but they also don’t have hometown fatigue, where they don’t appreciate some of the awesome stuff to see or do on their doorstep. They often have interesting facts and favourite shops and restaurants from being so excited to have moved to Paris/Hanoi/Tokyo/Berlin/New York/wherever, and are more than happy to share that knowledge and their opinions.]
After getting his room key, Zook decides to follow the others as they head out of the tavern and into the streets of the city. Looking to Ram and Riznak, he says, "I suppose I could use a little more fresh air before retiring for my afternoon nap. Ram, if you don't want to join me, you can take the key here and I'll be back later."
The gnome follows along behind Fen and listens as he gives his running commentary. The place has definitely changed since the last time he was here, and looks around with keen interest at the sights of Baldur's Gate.
After awhile, he catches up with Carlin, and walking alongside her, he asks, "It is Carlin, right? What brings you from Neverwinter to the City of Splendors?"
(There's no "guild district" or anything like that, they're scattered throughout the city. Remember that map I sent you? It has some buildings that are guildhalls listed on it.)

Hecate takes Fen up on his offer. "I would love to explore the City of Wonders. They say there is no other place like it in all the realms."

Ventheris will head straight to his room and work on another wood carving before heading to sleep early, intending to be in the bar by 10pm.
Okay, who is going out of the tavern, and who is going to their rooms?

Ramath will keep the key with him, but also go out to explore the town. Separately.
((Oops... I guess Zook is a little tired and road weary. I corrected my post.))
"I need to get in touch with the armor's locksmiths, and finesmith's guild," Carlin says, "working in Neverwinter has become... difficult."
