Once the group is together, Naroth quickly says, "Castle is moving away, we need to catch back up to it and get out of this city fast. I think our ruse is up and a fight is imminent if we stay here any longer."
You all gather outside of the tavern, where Naroth and Ulric had remained. It is now obvious to all that the castle is lifting away, as it is a good 50 feet up by this point, and heading up and away. What do you do?
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Unfortunately, none of my spells are capable of getting me up there, let alone the rest of you. I really am regretting not learning how to fly, teleport, or shapeshift right now..."
Shei looks around her surroundings, trying to see if there's anything nearby that could help them get up to the castle.
Ulric nods in agreement, "Unless we find a way to fly it looks like all we can do is follow it from below and try to stay hidden from view until it lands again."
(I believe we can assume Alhorn would have told you all about the wyverns. They are located in the stables nearby, though Shei's perception check was definitely not good enough to notice that.)
Naroth speaks up, "This might prove interesting but should we try and ride a wyvern up to the castle? At this point I believe our cover is blown but we still need to get to this castle."
The two big doors leading into the stable are sealed, and the place looks shuttered. As you approach the sound of some creatures inside becomes clear to even Naroth and Ulric, let alone the rest of the more-attentive members of the group. The sounds do not sound like horses, but of something larger, and scaled.
Alhorn is used to horses, and animals of all sorts really. Exceptionally talented with such, even. And these are in a stable, to be ridden like horses. Why should it be any different?
These and other thoughts may be his last as he opens the doors and holds out some beef jerky from his pack to try to charm the wyverns into allowing them to mount.
Animal handling 20 (I have no idea if this type of check would work, it just seems fun.)
Germain cautiously waits outside to see if Alhorn can calm them down, or if they'll at least be calmer having eaten him, before joining the others inside.
Cracked sheep bones and a few ox skulls cover the stable floor. Other than riding harnesses for the wyverns, there is not much else here. Three wyverns are in the stables. Alhorn is able to get one's attention with the beef jerky, but nearly gets his hand bitten off as the large mouth of the wyvern snaps at the bit of jerky in his hand. Seeing that none of the wyverns are equipped with harness yet,, Alhorn pulls one set down from the wall rack and begins to slip it onto the wyvern that he caught the attention of. That particular wyvern settles down, thanks to Alhron's sure and careful movements, and Alhorn is able to settle the harness into place.
Others
Anyone else want to give me an animal handling check, to see if you can get a harness on another wyvern, or do you want to wait for Alhorn to do all three?
Ulric is surprised to find the Wyverns in the stable, but his time around horses and other beasts has him at ease. He begins to work putting the harness on another.
Naroth confidently or stupidity walks into the barn, grabs a riding harness and then walks up to one of the wyverns with his hand stretched out in a calming gesture ready to put the harness on the creature.
As Ulric tries to get the harness on the wyvern he tries to treat it more like a horse than a predatory animal, and the wyvern lashes out at him with its claws in warning. It does not try to hit, just warn Ulric off. Ulric is unable to get the harness on it.
"Thank you, that was most helpful."
Alhorn will try to walk out calm, then book it running for the rest of the group, wherever they went

Germain nods, "Unless someone knows a way to get up there, perhaps we should just follow along below it?"

OOC: Apparently Ulric is blinded by the sun.....
Germain nods slowly, "We can try that, I suppose. It may even make us look more legitimate if we fly in, yes?"

Ulric nods toward Alhorn, "Perhaps it might be best if you continue." He holds out the harness, "They seem more understanding with you."
