As Iradari is about to leave, Invaih puts a hand on his shoulder to hold him back a moment, "And I know Bardoth. I doubt either of them would do something like this, and I have a feeling that this latest murder is related to the mansion we cleared yesterday. You said they... the thugs were talking about a Dwarf that promised them fortunes, and I think that is the best place to start. Do you remember what they called him? ... Either way, I'll bring Bardoth to the main plaza of town, and I would like you to do the same with Ms. Frogheart. We have to step in before they kill each other."
He then lets Iradari proceed on his way, adding while he is walking away: "Besides, I promised Bardoth I'd investigate the vandalism that are going on in his tavern."
Dari: As you walk into the tavern, Ellie perks up at your arrival. "Ah! There you are! You see I got my floor fixed." She says gesturing to the spot you previously destroyed with your roots. "You probably heard what happened last night, Randi, he was a good one." she says, "I know it was Hulric, I'm certain, it's always him! He stole one of my recipies last night, he says he didn't, that he was asleep the whole time." She continues talking, very, very, fast that what she says is intelligible.
Invah: You walk into the Rusty Dragon, Hulric doesn't agnowledge your presence. As you approach he says, "Eh, Wad'ya wa-" he lowers his eyebrows, "Whad'ya doin' here?"

"The hero sought to save the world.
"If I keep trying, I'll be able to win," the hero thought.
But the harder the hero fought, the further the world seemed to tumble away.
Drowning in doubt, the hero could not even save themselves.
Hero, if you still believe in a brighter future, hold in your heart a thorn that can pierce all doubt."
Artin, (assuming Zeg is okay with this) and Zeg go to the Sage Shop. "I wonder if they can tell us more about this statue and axe", says Artin cheerfully.
You walk into the Rusty Dragon, Hulric doesn't agnowledge your presence. As you approach he says, "Eh, Wad'ya wa-" he lowers his eyebrows, "Whad'ya doin' here?"
Perplexed, Invaih can't help but frown. "I..." he starts, but then reconsiders what he was about to say. His frown eases. "I came over because of what you asked of me. The ghost, remember?". He then waited for the reply, paying close attention to his behavior and response; he had suggested to Hulric to investigate the vandalism, which means that he should have expected Invaih to return, but it didn't seem he did at this time. With the strange occurrences, he did not want to take any chances.
Insight: 22 to try to tell if that is the same Hulric/person he met two days ago.
Invah: His forehead creases in concentration for a second, he then bursts out in laughter. Thirty seconds later, after finishing laughing, "Ha Ha! I remember now, so.. did'ye find anything out about the thieving little liar?" Hulric says, resting his arm across the table. "She blames me for the murder! Isn't that absurd!"
Artin: You arrive at the sage's shop, he says that he will need about an hour to research them. You leave and come back an hour later, he says: "Well, as far as I know, the figurine is'nt magical, but the axe? Well, the axe allows the wielder to move unnaturally fast, it is also enchanted with sharpness. (The axe has 5 charges, you can expend one to use dash or disengage as a bonus action, charges are regained at dawn. It also has a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls)

Invaih smiles. "I didn't find evidence either way just yet, but I've got a lead and a hunch. Me and some... yes, friends, have found some disturbing things while ridding the town of the thugs that live on the outskirts of town. I'd almost call them a cult, really. They are the most likely to have vandalized your place... But I doubt any that partook is left alive." Waving his hands down, he adds, "Now, don't get me wrong, I don't enjoy killing. But what was going on there... Most definitely necromancy. That murder at Frogheart's, I'd wager it's related to that. Me and my friends are planning to keep investigating. We'd also like for you to join us at the plaza shortly, so we can settle once and for all that neither of you tavern patrons," he emphasizes, "are guilty of misdeeds. Evidence points to a third party at this point."
Leaning over the counter and casually resting his left hand on the pommel of a sword, he asks "Now, I was wondering if you'd heard of a Travok fellow? A dwarf by my knowledge, that might be able to point me in the right direction." He places a couple of silver pieces on the bar.

He stops her, raising a hand, saying: "You're welcome. I did hear what happened, and I have something to say." He pauses, then says in a lower voice, "I know you may not be in good terms with Hulric, but you should not immediately place the blame on him. Let me investigate first, then I can tell you if it was him or not. Also, what started this rivalry anyway?"
Invah: "Ah Travok, there could only be one Travok. He used to be an Ironfist, he 'aint no more." he pauses for a second, "A feud sprung up between the Ironfists and the Lutgher clans. Over what? I 'ave no idea. But it escelated to a full out war, the Ironfists lost the war, Travok gave information to the Lutghers in exchange fer money, riches, and power. The king of the Lutghers 'as known to be a liar, he didn't hold to 'is end of the deal. Travok, now eternally shamed by the Ironfists, was left with nothing. No one has ever heard of 'im since." He says, "I would'nt be surprised if he has to do with this corruption."
Boo: You arrive at the bandit's hideout, looking around, it's completely devoid of animals, as you noticed last you were here. On your way, you notice a rabbit bounding twoards you. Talking to it, it says, "I've heard from my brethen, that place over there is evil and we should stay away. I don't want to know what's over there." you continue on to the hideout, start digging graves for the bandits. Make a perception check please.
Tell me if you have more questions for the rabbit.
Dari: "Uh, ok." Ellie says, "As for the rivalry, well... I have no idea how it started, he was here before I did, when I built this place, it became more popular than Hulric's. I guess he just wanted to attract more customers. We just kept trying to prove each other better. Anyway try to get it done soon, I'm not sure if he would let it go until it's all figured out."

Artin walks around the town, whistling and enjoying the scenery. He realizes he is hungry, so he goes to the melting dragon. I haven't tried this place yet, let's see what kind of fare they have. He walks in and sees Invah. '"Oh hi Invah!" Turning to the dwarf he says, "Are you open for lunch? What do you have? Also we found some strange monsters out of town, do you know anything about them?"
Boo: You search the house a little bit, you find the kitchen, pantries full of food, half of it moldy and unedible. You clean up and look for food for a couple minutes, you hear the front door creak open. What do you do?
Zegria: The man raises an eyebrow, he walks through a door behind him, comes back out a second later, "Come in, the mayor will see you." You enter to see a young man, black hair and a neatly trimmed beard, sitting at a desk with his hands folded. "Zegria i presume?" he says extending his hand in your direction, "You want to take care of our gnoll problem? The gnolls have previously had no trouble with us. They have grown more aggressive, they sent a raiding party while you all went to take care of the bandits. We were able to take care of it ourselves, but we know there's more of them." He spreads his hands, "If you can take care of them, I can pay you."
Dari: "His body is at Elvirie's, if you want to see it. He was killed in his bed, thier quarters are upstairs, his is the second on the right."

Smiling and waving at Artin, he pulls up a chair at a nearby table and invites his halfling friend to join him. He then proceeds to relate what he had learned about treacherous Travok, their only lead so far regarding the necromantic corruption they witnessed.
