"I have to say, Zeg, I'm not sure." Dari says, "If we are going to ambush, we should go now or we may lose the element of surprise. If the ambush fails, we should retreat back here where we can defend ourselves a bit easier."
Erik nods. "An ambush could work. If we surprise the cultists here, we shld be able to ambush whoever is coming. Perhaps we can get to the bottom of this mystery...I have a trick up my sleeve that should give us the advantage in the second fight."

Invaih considers it all for a moment. "We need answers more than anything right now. I'll take a gamble. Be ready in case things turn sour... For now, stay hidden to the sides." Looking at Zeg, he adds: "It will probably turn sour eventually, please wait just a little longer."
He straightens, fastens his weapons to his sides, crosses his arms, and his features change from soft and focused, becoming haughty and arrogant. He boldly strolls into the camp, and loudly speaks up, mimicking the drow mannerism that so often command fear and respect. "Which one of you swines can show me to Travok?" He pulls out the knife he picked up from the murderer earlier and picks at his nails. "I do hope for your sake that he is here. You folk made us waste a lot of time tracking you. And we tend to not like being played for fools."

One of the men sitting 'round the fire looks up in your direction, one eyebrow raised, "Strath!"The man in the horned helmet looks in your direction, narrows his eyebrows as he spots you, and strides twoards you. "This man here says he wants to be seen to Travok." As the horned one approaches you, all eyes in the camp are on Invah and the Horned One, "Now who might you be and what buisness do you have with Travok?"

"The hero sought to save the world.
"If I keep trying, I'll be able to win," the hero thought.
But the harder the hero fought, the further the world seemed to tumble away.
Drowning in doubt, the hero could not even save themselves.
Hero, if you still believe in a brighter future, hold in your heart a thorn that can pierce all doubt."
Invaih sneers at Strath. "You may address me as Lord Crezhm'hut, and my business is for Travok's ears only. I did not come here to talk with the brawn but with the brain. I have a proposition to our mutual benefit."
Erik nodded as the plan got put into action and hid with the others, tho he extended his senses to Archimedes so that he could maintain a bird's eye view, quite literally, of everything that happened.
"Oh my... I didn't expect Travok to work with men as dimwitted as this." He shakes his head, nonchalantly twirling the ornate dagger in one hand. "I told you we had to track you down, and that I come with a proposition. Yet you would ask me about a, I assume, passphrase to which only your inner circle are privy? Sadly, the fool who owned this dagger offed himself before we could ask any question. He didn't give us a chance to even ask politely." He looks up with an expression of disdain. "So? Are you going to let me see him, or should I take my leave and leave you hopeless sort to your fate? Hopefully you are smart enough to not tempt it further by acting a fool."
The Strath raises his eyebrow, "Hmm... We have a shipping caravan coming here that should be here within the hour to pick up this beast and bring it to Travok. Follow them and let 'em know beforehand that you are to be escorted to Travok. Let me know as well before you go, I need you to send him a message for me."

Invaih smirks and -- keeping eye contact with Strath all the while -- makes an exaggerated bow. "It will be mutually rewarding to work with you, I'm sure. I shall allow you some time to pen your message. If you need me, I shall be near. Simply extinguish the fire and I will come running. Otherwise I will return as the caravan approaches."
Invaih swiftly sheathes the dagger and melds back in the shadows, leaving camp and heading straight ahead for a while, before turning a sharply behind a small copse of trees, fully expecting his friends to flank and rejoin him in moments. (Stealth to see how soon I vanish from sight in the shadows: 13).
Artin's blood runs cold when the passphrase is asked. A cold chill runs down his spine, as he can see Invaih get killed in his minds eye by a swarm of cultists. When Invaih arrives safe and sound, the halfling can't help but give the dark elf a warm squeeze on the arm. "I'm glad you're ok!", he whispers. "Let's get the hell out of here before they see us!"
Erik watched the exchange through the eyes of Archimedes before rejoining Invaih as he passed out of sight of the cultists. He looked from Artin to Invaih. "What's the plan my friend...?" He asked softly, curious how the night would play out.
"I'm not sure honestly. If we ignore the camp, at least for now, we have a shot at heading straight for Travok. Maybe we can find out what the hell is going on and how to stop it. What do you all think?"
"I'm just wondering why we haven't killed them yet," and grins.

Dari shapeshifts into a mouse... again... and follows Invah so he can be at is side if things do go sour.
Right before Invaih steps out, Artin touches his gently on the shoulder with guidance. "The charm of ducks be with you, friend", he whispers.

"Anyway, I agree with Invaih. I want to know what is going on. If we can figure it out, we may have a better shot at taking them out." Dari says.
Erik nods, willing to go along with Invaih's plan.
