@daemyar - you are able to hold steady the door against the goblin. The goblin "harumphs!" and you hear footsteps heading away from you, likely back to the barricade. After a time, you don't hear them anymore. You turn around and look into the room. It is a large room with a low ceiling. Squalor and terror reign here. A large iron spike is driven into the floor near the center of the room, and a small iron cage is set farther back. Several sets of corroded manacles are connected to the walls, some still binding a few crumbling skeletons. The decapitated bodies are all around, leaking blood - they are relatively fresh kills, maybe within a few hours or so. These bodies likely belong to the heads out there in the hallway.
There are three kobolds bound with crude rope to the iron spike. A battered svirfneblin(deep gnome) lies in the small iron cage, which is almost too small for him. The kobolds cower in fear of your hobgoblin face, while the svirfneblin looks at you with interest.
@garnet - you're too far away to hear anything but looking around where you are right now, nothing seems amiss or dangerous.
The kobold is unsure of what to do and just stands there, not really understanding. When it finally gets what you are doing, it opens the door and tries to do so quietly. 15
The kobold eases open the door with little sound and then will look around. Then will look back at you, unsure of which way to go...
Towards my allies. And I slam the door behind it. I’m trying to draw the goblins attention to the solitary kobold in the hopes that they chase it, thinking it escaped.
@daemyar - The kobold nods and grins before you slam the door in its face. Daemyar, you hear the goblins shout and then some running sounds. Then you hear the hobgoblin shout something out loud and hear some more running.
@rest - The rest of you don't hear much as you are pretty far away. Ithelion, you being the closest hear yips and as you look down the corridor, see a naked kobold running your way. It skids to a stop, confused. It looks behind it and takes a few steps towards you......
You have a few seconds to decide what to do....[You can safely assume something is chasing the kobold, but you have no idea what!]
Ithelion is at the corner still, the rest of you are behind her. Daemyar is in the Goblin Prison......
Ithelion's eyes widen when she sees the kobold approaching, then she smiles. Well done, Daemyar! She speaks low and reassuringly to the kobold in Draconic, signalling it forward. "Come. Meepo is here, you are safe" as she helps it over the barrier to the west of Krom, pointing to Meepo, and handing it the scimitar attached to her pack.
She then tells Elosa to take her place watching down the corridor, while she jumps over the barrier east of Krom. "Expect company!" she says, as she moves southeast of Krom and closes her eyes, watching through Elosa's eyes.
If/when she sees enemies round the corner, she tells Elosa to pull her head back from sight then summons her, and opens her eyes, describing the scene.
You lean up against the door as you hear the last set of feet run by and breath an anxious sigh. Then you hear it: the sound of boots slowly walking towards the door - trying to be quiet but you hear it nonetheless. Based on what Ithelion said before, in your heart of hearts, you know who it is come to call on your door.... Your anxiety turns to anger and rage as you remember the vision Adathar showed you. How these hobgoblins took money and betrayed your people, leaving them to the slaughter. It wasn't a fair fight, nor honorable - and that burns you up. Your anger pushes you into new heights but you wait for the sound of battle before opening the door...And there it is! A mighty roar and a scream, and the sound of squealing goblins...You throw open the door!
Roll initiative! (I'll say that the gooshie is still active for you, Daemyar)
N - 16
@rest Elosa and Krom are able to slip back without being seen by the goblins, but the goblins see the back of the released kobold go around the corner and they at a jog... Ithelion's urgent whisper gets you ready for the fight and Krom and Shere take advantage of this by readying their attacks. Krom - you can hear the footsteps of the goblin before you see it and you try to time your swing just right.....
As if this isn't enough 3 you hear some clicking and clacking sounds coming from the bloody pool where Daemyar shot a couple of goblins a few hours ago, and a hold begins to open up where the puddles were. You see large antennae and pincers emerge from the hole - giant centipedes!
Roll initiative! (G1and G2 are surprised, so before anything, Krom and Shere - you can act first - Shere you can roll your attack with the crossbow and Krom let's see what happens with the swing!)
Garnet is waiting with the others currently trying to listen for any sign of distress or conflict. Any noise that may indicate it's time to intervene.

Daemyar approaches the cages. No other doors, yeah?
“I have need of a distraction. You have need of escape. Our goals align today.”
Is it possible to free one kobold? If so I’d like to set one loose, and shove him towards the door I came from.

It's easy to free a kobold. You can do so.
