Meepo grins, intimating conspiratorially, winking, “Meepo smarter than that, elf lady. But me wish you well.” He hands over 2 vials of oil to Shere. “Good luck baits.”
Ithelion watches Meepo's diminutive form walk away, and the realization of one possible future saddens her. He plans to leave. Her gaze lingers as she tries to imagine if it is even possible for him to do so, or is he as trapped here as she is? What did the cat say? Make our make own fate? She smiles a bitter smile.
"Stay safe" she says to his retreating back. As he finally disappears through the door to the queen's rooms, she glances around at her companions, "Well, I suppose now is the time to find out the fate of Sharpie, at least. I wonder if her head will be lying in the corridor."
She nods to Shere, "You are right. Sometimes one has to walk the path of the inevitable in order to escape it."
She dusts down her clothing again, despite it seeming impeccably clean already, if a little worn, then hefts her pack. When everyone is ready she goes through the door that leads to the queen's room. If the queen is present, she bows to her and tries to approach. If stopped by the guards she looks sadly at the queen, "Does her Majesty have a message she would like us to convey to Grenl, or to Durnn?"
As everyone prepares to get going, Krom looks around at his companions, "Does one of ye feel like yer gonna need a bit more protection, or need to be hitin' a bit harder?"

Garnet will move over next to Krom and hold out her sword indicating she would like to -hit things harder-. "I'll take your offer Krom." Her voice is grim. Whatever unfolds today is out of her control and she can use all the help she can get.
Krom nods and takes Garnet's sword, "Aye, I got ye lass." With his holy symbol, Krom begins to trace the symbol of Moradin along with a few dwaven runes around it on the blade of Garnet's sword. "We got ourselves into a right mess, gettin' involved with this territory fightin'. Ain't no real peace goin' to come out from this. The more we wade into the goblins the more the kobolds will just push in behind us." Krom pauses in his ranting for a moment to silently pray over the sword, a faint glow appearing where he traced the symbol and runes that spreads out along the blade to coat the whole sword in a very faint divine glow. He hands the sword back to Garnet, "There ye are lass." Krom hefts his warhammer in his hands taking a good look at it and gives a nod, before reading himself to move out. "Thinkin' I'm gonna need to change this 'fore too long. Be real hard to fell a tree with a hammer. Anyway, that's enough of me chatterin', better find that Elf and Cat and start draggin' them to wherever we're goin'."
(Garnet now has a +1 to their attack and damage rolls with that sword until the next long rest, or Krom dies.)

The elite kobold guards just bar your path but allow you to head back into the area leading to the goblin-controlled area. In a bout of great luck, you don't find any weird creatures on the way either, and you make pretty good time to get to the scene of the last fight. Insects, worms, and flies can be seen on the various globs and splashes of blood that dot the floor and walls. Ahead you note the melted water near the door to Calcryx's lair, the open door, and the still half-frozen bodies that you saw before...
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
(( If the queen is not visible, Ithelion directs her question to the Elite guards ))
She listens to whatever reply they make and nods no-commitally, "So be it." (( Though the actual reply might affect her future actions ))
When they arrive back at the site of their last encounter, she approaches warily, with both she and Elosa looking for signs of Sharpie's head, or traps. Assuming they do not encouter resistance, she suggests that they head warily to the guard room and finally Calcryx's old room, looking for signs of disturbance, or loitering ambushers -- or Sharpie. If it seems safe, she will also search for any items of interest.
There is no sign of the goblins, and the guard room is as you left it. You head into the dragon’s former lair, mounted and stuffed animal heads adorn the walls. The mounting job is sloppy, and the assortment of heads includes cattle, rats, and other not particularly impressive specimens. A few grisly trophies share the wall with the animals, including a couple of kobold heads. Smashed and broken cabinets and small tables litter the periphery of the room, mute victims of some sort of rampage. A rusted iron spike stands in the center of the room, trail- ing a broken chain. It seems as if the goblins were about as successful as the kobolds in keeping Calcryx bound. Thin patches of frost coat sections of the walls, floor, and debris, including a couple of goblin bodies you noticed before. The wyrmling has scoured the room and gathered all items of worth into a nest she made behind the table. The valuables include a dragon-shaped, jade figurine, a crystal goblet, and twenty-four pieces of fine silverware. ***Edit - oops! I forgot to add that you found a sealed scroll case carved of bone, carrying an inscription. There are runes on the exterior....who knows Dwarvish?
Erky - He has been following anyone who is looking around for items. "Hmmm, what do you have there?"he says interestedly, trying to look over Ithelion's shoulder... "May I?"he asks the elf mage.
Ithelion frowns, "Don't forget the skeletons. The whistle is...interesting." She looks around the room, "Either you or me; I could use the time productively as well." She nods in the direction of the guard room and the door to the south. "Don't forget to check the other rooms...we won't know what it is, but we'll know it's there at least."
(( @DM: She intended to cast Comprehend Languages earlier, but that might have been disrupted. If so, she will do it here. Otherwise, she will make notes for her maps. ))

Garnet follows after the other thinking on Ithelion's request for counsul, in the time it takes to reach the dragons little lair. After Ithelion and Shere converse about the small treasure pile. Garnet will address Ithelion she means to express her opinion on her own actions moving forward. "If this conflict with the kobolds and goblins does not end peacefully and we can not convince them of it's worth. If they remain hell bent on destroying each other." Garnet pauses idle tightening the buckle on her sheild "I will not play political assassin, or soldier for either side. But I will continue to defend our group should arms be raised against us as we make our way to the tree."
The figurine gives no magic aura. In fact, the only things that give off any effect is the whistle, the scrolls, Garnet's sword and goggles, and Daemyar's cloak. The bag of holding glows as well. None of the items you found in the dragon's lair are magical...
The door leading to the storeroom is still open. When you search for traps and locks on the door in the storeroom, you can tell it is locked but not trapped as far as you can tell. Pressing an ear to this door, you hear some distant noises but nothing you can make out with certainty.
