So, you close the door behind you and huddle behind it in the dark. You might almost say you blend in so well with the shadows as to be hidden, if there were anything to see you or if you had anything to hide behind. Certainly nothing beyond the door can hear you. Even your breath is muted. You hear the faint sound of drips somewhere off in the hall...
After the red statue thing you went north through the door and down one set of stairs then up another. Eventually you came to a long corridor (100 feet+). After scouting etc you make your way down it. At the very end of it you found 2 doors: one with some rumens - library. You go in and find some cool stuff. You exit and go to the next door. You ambush the goblins that are in the room and carry them back to library where you murder them. All the while some creatures had noticed goblins missing. Elosa and Ithelion say so. Daemyar creeps to that door and shuts it before they can see or reach him. You all hightail it stealthily back up the long corridor and close the door, waiting - very silently - behind said door. That’s pretty much where you’re at.
Ithelion looks around a little self-consciously, and lowers her bow. "Here, at least, is more defensible, with cover for any retreat we might make..." she pauses and looks at Elosa.
"...one moment." she says as Elosa disappears from her shoulder. Ithelion closes her eyes and leans against the wall, adopting the now-familiar trance-like state.
Action: Send Elosa to other side of door to look down corridor (Darkvision 120') and link senses.
A moment later she starts quietly to describe the scene on the other side of the door.

Elosa pops into existence again on the other side of the door and views the length of the corridor. You just see shadowy darkness until the end. Nothing moving as of right now.
Instructing Elosa to warn her if anything changes, Ithelion opens her eyes again. "She's watching. If anything comes out, we will know."
She glances around, "I'm open to suggestions. Someone suggested sneaking past them? If they come out, should we wait until they have started up the corridor -- perhaps a quarter to half way -- then attack with bows and fall back?"
Ithelion considers for a moment, "I still have the caltrops. I wonder if we should use them in the corridor in various locations. In the dark they are hard to see, unless you know where they are...it might slow them down a give us another round of arrows..."
Garnet turns to Shere and says softly "It lasts an hour. What has it been, 5 minutes? Perhaps we should try to carefully sneak back and see if they are still there. It would be great to sneak past them, but if not we can surely surprise them. Whatever was making those sounds.."
(Elosa was affected by the spell as well)

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Maybe 10 minutes have gone by since the spell was cast - maximum. Elosa and Ithelion clearly noticed that it was trees of some sort that were moving towards the room. Assuming Ithelion shared this knowledge, you all would know these are twig blights.
Garnet keeps moving as well, trying to stay hidden.

Daemyar is looking for a means to block or lock the door before retreating with the rest of them

You mean at the end of the corridor? No problem. You close it and could wedge something to block it.

"Now what? The lot of us got go back that way at some point. Ain't no other way other than goin' back." Krom says quietly to the group.
Be excellent to each other, and roll for initiative dudes!
"We're going to have to go back soon. Garrnets spell only last so long." Shere whispers,

“I think we wait for a bit, and then try to sneak back in, deal with any sentinels a bit quieter.”
”Or… we find another way around. There might be a secret passage somewhere.”
Could Daemyar and Ithelion surmise where another entrance might lead based on the earlier view of the cavern?
