At the undead abominations' approach, the cleric turns absolutely garnet with fury. Her amulet and shield flare with a holy light as her sacred ritual is interrupted and she yells out, "Anathema!"
In a heartbeat, she vanishes and reappears 25ft away in a gout of fire. (Fey Step to D10 lower left) Gold subsumes every last strand of hair until all the white is gone. "Return to Kelemvor, you desecrated filth!" she screams, invoking her deity's power to Turn Undead.

DC 14 Wisdom save from every single ghoulie on the map. If they fail and are CR 1/2 or less, they are incinerated. Otherwise, it's normal Turn Undead rules.
As one, the creatures turn towards the cleric in alarm. The word sends all of them scrambling to get away from the eladrin. Eku shouts out a victory cry and pumps her fist into the air.
As Nenne's spell goes off, Boosey sees the panic in the creatures eyes. Casting dissonant whispers at it he creates a sound akin to nails on a board, making the creature flinch and turn, running from the Gnome. As the thing turns he shouts encouragement to Allister (inspiration die 1d8).
The creature grabs its head and flees straight away from the bard only to come right back. The undead thing's tongue rolls out of its mouth, dripping with a mixture of blood and saliva. It lunges out at Boosey, but the gnome proves too small and fast a target for the wild rake. The rest of them flee from Nenne as far as they can go. Allister pokes out at one as it flees, drawing black blood from the thing. It quickly returns to its senses and claws out at the fighter in kind. The claws rake across his forearm and, to his horror, Allister's body starts to lock up. (8 damage)
"This may not last," Nenne growls as gold recedes into her scalp. "These abhorrent creatures do not often taste the fear of Kelemvor for long. They may return. We should prepare, or retreat ourselves."
Seeing the creature resist Nenne's fear-inspiring ability and attack Boosey, Sthara makes her move, running next to the gnome and twincasting a chromatic orb of fire into the ghoul before her companion and the one just past it (15 to hit for 19, and 16 to hit for 20).
The fiery orbs go to work hungrily biting into the foul creatures. The one nearest Boosey falls to the ground batting at the flames until it lies in an unmoving, smoking heap. The second creature wasn't so unlucky to have fallen to the orb, but its back is mostly burnt away revealing much of its spine poking out between gaps of missing flesh.

Funderburk, seeing the two creatures run away from him and his friends over to his left, notices that they are in a line. And this time, there were no obstacles in his way.
Slaming his staff of the ground, lightning began to coil around it as he began chanting. Soon, once he was finished, it was if it was a full sized lightning bolt coiling around that base of the staff. When the Vedalken finally slammed his staff on the ground, the energy surged outwards and towards the two running creatures.
Both ghouls duck low as the lighting buzzes by. The first of the pair doesn't manage to far enough out of the way and shields the second from a full impact. The ghoul closest to the party jerks spasmodically, crashing to ground. The second turns with hair dancing on end and a twitch in its limbs. It spots Boosey and starts to dash towards the gnome.
The ghoul overextends after Allister faints a low thrust, bringing its head in line with the real thrust. With a quick upwards jab the rapier penetrates the ghoul‘s lower jaw and exits through the skull. Allister tears his weapon free, ripping parts of the ugly face off in the process. Seeing no threat in his vicinity Allister the walks towards Boosey and Sthara waiting for another ghoul to approach
Seeing Allister more than handle the ghoul next to him, Eku turns her attention to the creature running for Boosey. She takes careful aim and puts an arrow right through its forehead. The thing drops to the ground, snapping the arrow off in its head.

Nenne cuts to her right to get a better visual on the fleeing creatures (F10, bottom right) and points her mace at the furthest one as a burst of red light streaks toward it. "Anathema!" (Guiding Bolt, 3rd level - Attack: 17 Damage: 17)
Suffering from the previously direct lightning bolt, the undead thing never stood a chance against the holy bolt. As it lances into the creature it boils and pops, dissolving any undead life it had left.

Boosey, having had one of these vile creatures in his face, steps over the one now lying at his feet. The one that is left is fleeing the scene, and he walks forward to get closer to it, preparing the spell as he goes. Using the shrieks and screams of the Pterafolk from the parties previous encounter, he casts dissonant whispers at it for 14 damage.
The creature tumbles over grabbing at its head. It turns a malevolent gaze back to the gnome for only a second before it grabs its head again. It starts to slam its head into a nearby log. A few rounds of that and the ghoul falls down with a broken face.
Breathing shallow more from emotion than exertion, the cleric rakes her gaze across the clearing to make certain every last abomination has returned behind the veil where it belongs. The leather handle on her mace creaks with her choking grip until she is convinced they are dead and no others are coming. "Anathema," she spits. "In the middle of a sacred rite..."
Gold starts to creep back into her hair as she looks at her crushed incense and trampled prayer book, damaged when the ghoul rushed up to her. Leather creaks again in her hand, but only for an instant, as she throws her mace to the grass to vent some of her anger. She marches back to the site of her ruined sacrament without a word and squats to retrieve her book. When she notices the almost midnight shade of red of her skin, she pauses, takes a deep breath, and exhales slowly. "You are in Summer. You are not Summer," she tells herself in a tone that sounds like an order to anyone close enough to hear.
She spends a minute concentrating on her book to mend the damaged pages with holy magic, then she takes out more incense and resumes her ritual.
"Those creatures were particularly horrible," Sthara says, mostly to herself. She walks over to one and inspects it for anything interesting (Investigation: 20 if needed).
Sthara doesn't find much separating the ghouls from each other or many of the other undead she's seem before. Just as she comes to the last one does she realize they actually do have something im common. Doubling back to check confirms that each of these creatures has a faded blue triangle tattooed on their foreheads.
Confirming that the triangles are present on all of the creatures, Sthara calls out to Eku and Nenne:
"Eku, Nenne, come see what I have found here. Are you familiar with Ras Nsi? Betrayer of Ubtao and exile of Mezro? Look here, the blue triangles upon their skin – that is his mark, his symbol of war. Given Mezro...I assume you may know more than I, Eku. And Nenne, has your god of the grave spoken to you of Nsi's army of undead?"
Eku furrows her brow and shakes her head. "Ras Nsi? I do not know the name. Betrayer of Mezro you say? Then these things," she gestures in disgust at the fallen ghouls, "must be over a hundred years old then."
