As Boosey steps onto the first tile leading into the shrine, it gives way and he falls through. He lands hard on the floor ten feet below (6 damage), but to his horror, there is a green slime down there that instantly begins to sting and burn (2 damage). He is covered in the stuff from chin to toes on his front side as he stands up out of it.
The gnome spends a moment winded, then realising he has landed in something unpleasant, springs to his feet. "A rope, quickly. This slime burns, I need to get it off!"
As quick as he can, Boosey climbs out on the offered rope aided by Allister, Nenne and Lemon. He yells out that the slime still burns and his clothes and armor can be seen being eaten away right before their very eyes. Nenne grabs up some cloth and Boosey starts throwing clothes off. Half way through, the gnome can't take the sting anymore and casts cure wounds on himself. 30 seconds later after coming out of the pit Boosey stands there with patches of red skin where the slim had been, nearly naked. His clothes and armor are totally ruined on the front side.
Once the slime is removed, Nenne shakes her head and pokes the gnome on the forehead slightly harder than she normally does (Cure Wounds, 14 HP). "I am glad you are not more injured, storyteller, though I believe I've had my fill of rescuing friends who have plummeted into danger." She smiles wearily. "Please be more careful."
As she straightens, Sthara's words finally reach her ears and she frowns. "Another cube, lady mage?"
„I think we have two choices now. Leave with the cube Sthara obtained and see if it turn into smoke like the other one. But we could lose all memory like in Shagambi´s shrine. Maybe even trigger more traps. Or we go for the cube in the right room, that way we can be sure we have the real one. But my gut tells me Sthara got the wrong one. The room is easily accessible, like we one we took the first cube from. Not very secretive...“
Nenne nods. "I agree with you. My instincts say our prize is in the other room. We could, however, attempt a simultaneous retrieval. We know Sthara can vanish and reappear instantly. As for the dwarf, we've seen him transform into creatures. He could assume the form of a small beast and collect the final cube, and when he is nearly outside, we can signal the lady mage to teleport to us. With proper timing, both of them could be outside the temple and out of harm's way."
"Ye know, one of us could leave with the cube, with the others stay. If the cube disappears, just have the person come back." He gives a shrug. "What 'ever ye say. I can cast a blessin upon me from nature and get the cube. What ever works fer ye all."
As soon as Sthara walks into the main chamber the bronze statues animate and swivel her direction to fire obviously magically created bolts cocked and ready on glittering strings of light.
The thrum of all twelve crossbows echo through the small shrine and magical bolts fill the corner Sthara is entering through the secret passageway. Four of the bolts find the stone door, but eight hit their mark with a vicious sting (3, 9, 9, 3, 3, 8, 3, and 7 damage).
Quickly looking at Orvex before jumping into the fray to help Sthara, Lemon said to him, "The blessin be me changin forms human. It be one of 'er greatest blessin's."
Taking a bit too long to respond, Lemon realized he had joined in a bit later (low initiative roll).
Nenne sees the flying bolts of magic and clenches her fists, knowing that she can do little to help her friend without putting more of the party in danger. "Flee, Sthara!" she cries out to the sorceress. "As swiftly as you can!"
Pained terribly by the impact of the magical bolts, and her new limp making every step a bit more challenging than she feel it ought be, Sthara makes a run for it. She slips past the two statues in her way and rounds the corner to the exit, wincing as she does. Seeing the pit where surely Boosey had fallen in earlier, she reaches out her free hand, looking at the faces of her companions, and shouts "Away!" (Misty Step aiming for H15)
As Sthara enters the hallway from the other side, she drops through the floor as it gives way. It seems the far side of the hallway was also trapped in a similar manner. No more sounds are heard after she falls inside.
Boosey rushes forward snatching up as much rope as he can and leaps over the first pit trap. He lands on a floor that falls apart under his weight, but he somehow manages to teeter on the edge between the second and last pit trap. He tosses the rope down to the acid covered Sthara with a pitiful look. The red marks on his own body seem to tingle just looking at the stuff. The bard notices the pit behind him is covered in slime also.
Boosey sends healing energy to Sthara, urging her to wake up and get out. Only then does he see the bronze archers aiming at him in his very precarious position.

"Ye seem ter be in... quite the situation there gnome. Do ye need help?"

Seeing the cube on the ground, Sthara will pick it up and move to the door that she noticed, calling out, "Friends, I've found another cube!"
The gnome spends a moment winded, then realising he has landed in something unpleasant, springs to his feet. "A rope, quickly. This slime burns, I need to get it off!"
Nenne grabs the rope and tosses one end into the hole where Boosey fell, staying where she is. "Lemon or Allister, if you wouldn't mind helping me."

As she straightens, Sthara's words finally reach her ears and she frowns. "Another cube, lady mage?"
Sthara rounds the corner, worry coating her face as she sees what’s befallen Boosey.
”Yes, this cube. It was in the side room to the left. There was a hidden door that lead back to the chamber of arrows.”

Orvex inquires as to what kind of blessing Lemon is talking about.
“You mean to say this cube is not real?” Sthara asks, holding it up to look at it. “If this vanishes when I leave then we will know for sure.”
Sthara makes her way towards the exit, attempting to walk out.
