Allister writes, "I think we're good. Keep quiet just in case." Then he moves over to the sarcophagus and pushes the lid to the side with a great deal of effort.
Inside the sarcophagus, the party can see a sheet of faded cloth over which lies the serpentine bones of a jaculi. Lying on top of the bones is a long, wooden staff carved in the likeness of a serpent. Its pale wood is in remarkable condition and looks freshly carved.
Seeing the staff in the sarcophagus, Boosey speaks a few words and a spectral hand appears in the chamber next to Allister. The hand taps the fighter on the shoulder, then points towards the staff, then hovers in front of the sarcophagus expectantly. Back in the passageway the gnome raises a questioning eyebrow.
Mouthing his words, Lemon makes the remark, "Any of ye know what the staff does?" He looks to the skull and makes a questionable face. Considering to talk to it.
Boosey nods at Allister and lets the magical hand drop to the staff. Making a grabbing motion with his own hand, the magical one mirrors it and holds the staff. He tries to lift, but the staff is too heavy, and won’t budge, remaining steadfastly in place. “Looks like one of us will have to lift it out the traditional way!”
“Wait”. Boosey enters the chamber and looks around nervously. The mage hand pops out of existence and he walks carefully over to the sarcophagus. “Ready?” He says, more to himself than to Allister. “He reaches down, and shutting his eyes, his hand closes round the staff.”
As Boosey steps through the skull mouth, the other flame winks out, but nothing else happens. Touching the staff proves to be a bit different. Green smoke billows out of the staff, spiraling around Boosey, which he doesn't see at first. Opening one eye, he is met with the smoky visage of a jaculi patiently looking into his eyes face to face.
Allister watches Boosey getting possessed by the spirit. When the smoke dissipates he asks „You okay, Boosey? And you inside him, please be nice to him. We need him to defeat Acererak.“
Boosey stands there in contemplation. His brows furrow here and there as if reacting to conversation. At length he turns to the party and says, "This is Moa's tomb. He is quite friendly and already seems helpful! Moa's story lines up with what Glimbul said for Obo'laka in that Acererak is the reason they are entombed here. This staff is his prized weapon of choice, though I cannot use it. Moa says it can only be weilded properly by a druid, cleric, or warlock."
Boosey's eyes fall a bit and he scuffs the ground with his foot before saying the rest, "He's quite mad at you Lemon. He says you bear a curse that could only have come from ruining his shrine and you can never use his staff."
Returning his gaze to Allister the bard says, "He wants to help us with defeating the lich. I feel like we've found a real ally here!"
„So far we have found more allies than enemies. But we have to careful now which gods we awake. We cannot have enemies to Moa and Oboˋlaka with the group. If we’re done here, let’s see what else this floor has in store for us.“ Allister leaves the room
Seeing that no one is hurt from the skull entrance Glimbul carefully inspects the entrance to see what the purpose of it is. While doing so he replies back to Boosey, “That is fortunate news! The more help the better, we can never be too sure what danger lies ahead.”
Strands of various metallic colors shoot through the eladrin's hair. "If I wield this staff," she says to Boosey, "will his consciousness pass to me?"
She sneaks a quick glance at Glimbul and draws herself straighter. Light reflects off her holy symbol. "I am a servant of Kelemvor," she continues. Her tone is humble and unwavering. "I can only have one master. If bearing this item would compromise my sworn service to the Fair Judge, I can have no part of it."
She sighs and grows softer. "As I said previously, I cannot abide a lich to live. I am willing to do much to defeat these evils, including sacrifice myself. Yet, I will not betray the god who redeemed me. I am his and only his. These are my terms."
After a bit of inspecting Glimbul furrows his brow. “I am not sure what the trigger is but it is as I feared. The mouth is hinged and seems capable of closing. Does anyone have anything useful for keeping it open?”

Orvex gives Allister a wierd look and says something in a croaky language in return tjat no one understands.
Allister writes „She wants to talk to her mother Napaka. Now what?“
"We were sent here by Napaka, she had to stay outside to look after your brother. We can take a message to her, if you wish?"
Nenne takes the paper and writes, "Need to search sarcophagus. Will she allow it?"
Allister writes „Just asked her.“

Made you look.
Allister looks at the staff and back to Boosey. „We can talk again, she left my head. If somebody wants to host a jaculi, now is the time.“

The smokey form of the serpent tightens its coil around Boosey and seems to absorb into the small gnome without a fight.
