The creature comes down with a spiked fist, following right behind Allister. The blow takes him in the shoulder blade as he rolls away (10 bludgeoning and 12 piercing damage). A second strike connects with center mass as Allister gets to his feet, knocking the breath out of him (13 bludgeoning and 8 piercing damage). As hard as the armor is, it does little against the sheer atrength behind this damnable creature's punches.
The cleric's amulet burns red, practically sizzling against her armor. Once more, a bloody shimmer settles on their foe as Nenne invokes her god's divine censure. "Last chance! Do it!"
Boosey moves forward to assist Allister, seeing the fighter take some heavy hits. “You can finish it off Allister,” giving the fighter inspiration, and he waits for him to attack.
Allister head feels like he is inside the tumbling room again, his vision is blurry and blood flows into his eyes to blur his vision. He pushes off the wall with his rapier still pointing to the ground. The golem rushes him with both arms raised, hands balled into fists. Both hands come down like hammers but Allister bends his body backwards and the attack misses. As soon as the fists fly past his body he jabs upwards piercing the golem‘s skull and helmet. Small whisps of smoke curl up from the open helmet when the creature collapses.
The party spends a long time messing with the rotating crawl way, only to discover that it goes nowhere at all. It appears that it was created solely as a devious trap to subtlety starve someone buried alive - a truly evil thing. I'Jin's tomb door is still raised into the ceiling.
The hours dwindle by as the party holes up near I'Jin's tomb door. No one has any idea of the passage of time, but eventually the sound of many heavy footsteps alert the party to other creatures in the waterfall hallway.
Slowly and stealthily Glimbul moves to look around the corner. After a few moments he return to the party with visible concern on his face and whispers to them. “There are 4 of those flesh things... just standing over by where we just fought those 2...”
"Well, we certainly cannot engage them now. Not four of them. We watch and wait and, if it is not suicide, potentially follow. Though I am the biggest liability to you all in any stealth mission."
The hours pass by with the party on edge. Even with danger so close, people drift off to sleep. A seriously needed guard is set at all times, giving those that need it more time to rest. The hulking creatures never show their face around the corner to everyone's relief. Some time later, many hours later, I'Jin's stone door lowers into place, sealing the passage entirely.
Nenne gathers the others closely and says in a voice barely above a whisper, "Moa has given me ideas of how to bypass the tomb guardians. He also says that we can expect their numbers to increase. It happened to previous explorers, when they delayed as we have.
"A direct confrontation with four of these would be deadly. Avoiding battle is therefore the goal. It is true that they block our path to the stairs, but we know there is a chute above I'Jin's sarcophagus. If we can bypass the floor, or better yet solve the puzzle, we can use the hole in the ceiling to escape.
"I believe I can deafen the creatures for a short time while we work. This would also allow me to attempt to slip by them unseen without my armor alerting them of my presence. I am loath to leave you...but if I had to in order to lower a rope through I'Jin's ceiling, I would."
„With Kubazan gone I cannot make that jump anymore. From experience I know I can barely make half that jump. So solving the puzzle is our best chance.“
"I agree. Unless our storyteller has another genius idea about how to circumvent these tomb guardians...?"
She pauses a moment and turns to Allister. "Should we survive this and somehow locate Shagambi's tomb, I think she would be well suited for you. I know you and Kubazan were quite the pair, but from what Moa tells me, the kamadan would make fitting companion for you."
After talking with the party, Nenne sits down and spends ten minutes in prayer. Her amulet glows as she finishes. It pulses again with a ruby light as she kisses her fingers and taps it (Death Ward), and a final time as a faint red shimmer settles on herself, Allister, and Glimbul before disappearing (3rd level Aid).
She smiles at them. Notes of peach and bronze join the colors of Spring.
"My family is dead and my home is gone. You are all I have and love in this world. I will see you soon. Kelemvor watch over us all."
She kisses her fingers and pokes each of her companions tenderly, then she vanishes from sight.
After a moment passes Glimbul turns to the other 2. “Allister, can you check the dial for any changes? Boosey and I are a bit short. I will stand by the door to relay messages and Boosey can stand guard. Sound good?”
„Sounds good.“ Allister walks to the pedestal and look at the dial, waiting for any changes
After some time Allister says „I don’t know how but I can talk to Nenne and Moa. Nenne says something went inside Papazotlˋs tomb. Maybe one of our dwarves.“

Nenne gently kisses her fingers pokes the fighter, the rogue, and the bard in the forehead.
"You three amaze me," she says with a quiet smile. "Come, let's get into position and I'll tend to those injuries."
She picks up the trident and leads the way through the waterfall.

„Now what? As long as they don’t move we are stuck here. Maybe they are just the vanguard and the dwarves wait somewhere in the background.“

Time continues on...after a while everyone feels rested and ready to move again, despite the proximity of danger.

Glimbul nods and makes for the door, listening carefully for when he hears Nenne.
“Does Nenne know what the next tile is in the sequence? We should know if she’s in there if the dial changes”!
