"Possibly, though given the type of magic it possesses, any host of ills could come from it," Nenne says, eyeing the waters cautiously. "You and I were transmuted into vicious animals, once. We can hardly afford that now."
"Don´t make me pick you up and carry you away from this. Something´s wrong with you if you insist on drinking that water. Even I can see you act strangely." Without a last look at Boosey Allister goes into the left tunnel.
As Allister slaps his hands away from the water, Boosey reaches out to the fountain again, but as the others try to dissuade him he holds off and sighs, "I guess you are right." He places his hands under the running water once more, letting the water flow carelessly over them, then removes them, shakes off the excess water and rubs them on his shirt.
He picks up his waterskin and looks at it longingly. For a moment he looks like he might tip the water out, but then pats the skin a couple of times before putting it into his travel sack.
Lemon accompanies Glimbul into the small hallway to search the apparent dead end. Glimbul takes his time searching the side corridor while Lemon stares ahead at the end. One of the bricks seems less covered with the moss that covers most of the area. The dwarf walks over and pushes the brick in. With a click, some of the brick work rotates to reveal the room that held the disc with many eyes inscribed on it.
The party descends down to the second floor. Allister gives the door across the pit with the holes in it a smirk as he thinks about how easy it would be to ruin the zombies there before turning down the north passage. The warrior cautiously makes his way down the corridor to find the walls and floor of the fifteen-foot-square room cracked and carved with images of terrified humanoids falling. Set into the middle of the floor is a stone bas-relief of a bearded devil face, painted green. Forlorn cries echo from the black void of its gaping maw.
"The magic from this devil's mouth is the same as the one on the floor above," Nenne says, scrutinizing it with the dying insight from her Detect Magic spell. "Evocation and illusion."
She glances back at the hallway and recalls the plaque outside. "One of the charges on the placard yon says 'into darkness descend'...I believe it refers to the pit several floors beneath us. Then again, there is darkness before us right now. I do caution you all again to avoid recklessness, however. If you feel you must enter that mouth, please do so after a thorough investigation and while wearing a tether."
"Or we can see where the other corridor leads us. The more we see, the more sense the plaque will make. And a certain door need some special attention sonner or later. Next corridor?"
The next tight corridor sports a four-way intersection, the corridors to north and south curve upward and out of sight, but with no rails or steps to allow them to be climbed. The corpse of a half-human, half-goat creature in robes sprawls ten feet to the north. It grips a staff tipped with a bronze goat’s head. The hallway forward leads into a room bearing a checkerboard pattern of large tiles.
Boosey eyes the bending corridor and the corpse with suspicion. He remarks, "Nope. Anyone got a grappling hook?" With enough attempts at hooking the deceased man and his gear, the party manages to get him over to the intersection. The man possesses a couple books, one of which is a spellbook; the other is a journal. On his person is also an ink pot and quill, two daggers, and 75 gold pieces.
"'E died by an axe an' darts..." Lemon said. Then suddenly, he looked questionable at the being. "'E be more... human than beast that fer sure."
This lead to Lemon standing back up, and looking to see what everyone was doing. He looked to the group and said, "I be explorin' now." To which to promptly went away to explore the sarcophagus room.
The vast room smells of wine as Lemon enters. On a checkerboard marble floor, a gilded sarcophagus sparkles in sunlight streaming down from the chamber’s vaulted ceiling, which arches twelve feet overhead. Four huge stone gargoyle heads, their mouths agape, protrude from the walls. equally spaced along the side walls.
Lemon looks at the sarcophagus then to the gargoyles ponders. He walks to each gargoyle to inspect it and check to see if there are any mechanics of any kind. From there, he moves to the sarcophagus itself and inspects it as well.
"In this journal a four-armed gargoyle is mentioned. It ripped this man´s companions to pieces. I don´t want to find out if this gargoyle is in here while we are distracted."
Lemon comes back from his investigation just as Nenne and Allister are finishing up. He hooks a stubby thumb at the room behind him and conveys that he didn't find anything outwardly dangerous in there, but there was a sarcophagus.

“It could be a honey trap, something to lure you in before the effects kick in. For all we know it may kill you in an hour.” Glimbul shrugs.

"Ye better believe I ain't be tryin' the water." He looks at it once more and shrugs. "Though the plants be lovin' it."
He begins to walk away, munching on the endless food now within his possession.

"I think we are done here. There´s a door with a bunch of zombies behind it begging to be released from their existence."

"What is it with these devils and their open mouths?" Allister cautiosly walks into the room, checking for pressure plates or symbols.
"Maybe they be hungry." Lemon says.
He pats on the fighters shoulders to let him pass through, and when he does, he inspects any traps or detailed designs that may outline the walls.

"Get back here!" Allister puts the journal down and yells at Lemon.
