The creature grins as Allister flees the room, displaying several rows of jagged teeth like a shark might have. The creature quickly surveys what's left of its opponents before uttering more arcane words. A streak of fire races from the creature's pointed finger to explode violently, covering Nenne and Boosey in flame. Glimbul ducks behind the wall just in time to avoid the blast.
Nenne throws up her shield in time to catch the brunt of the flame and hisses painfully as the metal enveloping her cooks her skin. She takes an angry step closer to the creature and points her mace at it, snarling, "How dare you make a mockery of the warrior!" Her amulet grows a vibrant crimson as a divine rebuke shimmers around the creature. (Path to the Grave) Then she runs to the opposite side of Boosey (F1) and readies her shield.
"Strike him hard!" she shouts to Boosey and Glimbul.
Boosey is indecisive, but grits his teeth and casts hold person on the frog, in the hope it will neutralise its threat and allow the others to attack it successfully.
The magical energy does not slow, nor stop the creature as it raises its weapon in defense again. Again, it coughs up throaty sounds that is likely to be a language, though it is anyone's guess as to what it is saying.
Glimbul fires an arrow right into the beast. As it nears, red energy reaches out to pull the arrow that much deeper. The creature croaks out a throaty noise as Allister disappears further into the next room. The creature repeats the incantation from before, filling the corner of the room with flame. As the flames receed, the thing comes bounding forward to stare down at Glimbul who was using the hallway wall for cover. The creature's toothy face curls up into a wicked grin as it notices Nenne notice the arrow push itself out of its body.
"Glimbul!" the cleric shouts in alarm. A gout of holy fire streaks out toward the creature threatening her friend, and it dodges the flame while grinning at her. She growls in frustration and holds her ground.
The other gnome reappears from the crawl way and moves next to Nenne. A few seconds later there is an almighty crack and the frog is rocked by the sound ever so slightly. Boosey shouts at Glimbul. "Glimbul, kill the thing," and gives the other inspiration.
Glimbul watching in horror as the creature moves toward him runs back down the passage. In his hurry the tip of the greatsword grazes the gnome before he disappears further away only for the sound of an arrow hitting the wall can be heard shortly after.
Allister shouts from the western room for someone to grab his rapier and for everyone to regroup in that room. The frog-like creature disappears into the hallway following Glimbul. Another arcane incantation can be heard from the thing.
Nenne scoops up Allister's rapier and darts to the tunnel only to see the fighter's face twist in fear once again. "No!" she whispers in frustrated anguish. She glances at Boosey, chest tightening as she takes in his dire health, and feels her own bloodied body start to shake from fatigue and injury.
"Evade him as long as possible and fire from cover!" she shouts to both Glimbul and Boosey. "Till Allister comes back to us or we can retreat!"
Seeing the cleric vanish Boosey panics, few options open to him. He moves close to the passage and peers in, seeing the slaad at the far end. Ducking out of sight, he heals himself and shuts his eyes tightly.
“Sorry Moa. If I could avoid this, I would.” He clutches papazotls amulet tightly and when the god appears, he allows it into himself without a struggle.
Glimbul trying to keep his distance from the horrific creature carefully moves away from melee range to behind the chariot. He then fires off an arrow in his hurry only to hit the wall again.
The quick, throaty sounds that emerge from the creature's mouth can only be guessed as laughter as Allister and Glimbul retreat into Papazotl's tomb. The thing turns around and sprints towards Nenne's end of the secret hallway. Her surprise is absolute when the thing changes posture to attack her directly. It manages to clamp its jagges teeth around her arm and bash her twice with the pommel of its greatsword even though the eladrin is completely invisible.
Vision blurry, Nenne drops her invisibility and clutches her holy symbol. "Help us endure, Fair Judge," she prays as she casts Sanctuary and stands her ground, preparing for more blows.
Seeing Nenne reappear, Boosey moves through the Slaad, turns and strikes with his staff, swinging with both hands. It’s a mighty blow for a small gnome, and the thing takes some damage at least. He shouts encouraging words at the cleric, enough to give her some inspiration, but he’s unsure if she hears the words. He knows now that their situation is desperate.
Seeing it retreat back into the passageway Glimbul moves around the side of the chariot and hides just before peeking over to hit it from behind. Distracted by Nenne the creature takes an arrow deep into its back as it yells out in pain.
The creature reaches out with the flat of its sword trying to push Boosey to the ground, but the bard nimbly dodges out of the way. With a croak of frustration, the thing slashes out at Boosey twice, both connecting solidly. The first hit comes down in the form of a pommel against the bard's head. Boosey's vision blurs and he is easily kicked back several feet placing him perfectly for the stroke that comes next. The greatsword takes Boosey straight to the ground in a heap. The monster takes off down the hallway into Papazotl's tomb.
Nenne's heart wrenches as her abjuration spell backfires on Boosey. Clambering into the tunnel, she kisses two fingers and taps the bard's forehead with them. (Level 2 Cure Wounds for 21 healing) "No time for that, my friend," she says gently. "Get up!"
She takes off down the tunnel and into the room. At the sight of the fighter, she grins in relief and teleports across the room toward him. When she lands, she throws his rapier with the last of her strength and says, "We need you!"
Getting up off the ground, the gnome gingerly moves along the passageway, stopping short of going into the room with the cauldrons. He readies his sling, waiting for Allister to engage the creature.
Running to the side of Nenne he uses her as cover to attack. The attack sadly lands against the pillar between them. Seeing his attack miss he runs to the opposite corner.

Her fists clench in futility and she vanishes.
