The man stumbles forward as Allister pushes off of him, shoulder checking the wall near the stairwell door. He yelps out in pain as the embedded arrow moves in its hole and slumps down to make himself as small as he can be where wall meets floor. As Worlo begins to speak Eku climbs up onto the upturned ship body and makes her way over to the platform wall. Clinging to the outside of the wall, she peers over it watching the situation unfold.
Worlo yells from his hidey hole, "You come here slinging spells, swords, and arrows without even so much as a hello. Now you're demanding things from a captain! You've lost your mind if you think you have any power here. It seems that you have an advantage on me. You know who I am, but I can only guess that you are some damned Flaming Fist lapdog come to fetch a bone! Why don't you come to the far edge of that walkway and I'll do the same on this side. I would know my attacker face to face. Keep your archers at bay and I will oblige the same." He then says something about a golden arse and a pointy stick to his men. Whatever else came with that is lost to the cave echo.
He is talking long enough that if anyone wanted to take a turn, that's fine. He's going to move to his side of the small walkway spanning the water, but he's clearly readied his reaction to take full cover should more arrows come his way.
At first Allister stands there dumbfounded. „Are you serious? Did you lose an eye or the rest of your rum pickled brain? Who am I? I am Allister Halving. Son of Andrei and Sophie Halving. I am the right hand of vengeance, and the boot that is going to kick your sorry ass all the way to the afterlife! I am Death Incarnate, and the last living thing that you are ever going to see. Kelemvor sent me.“ During his speech Allister peals off the disguise, puts on his bandana and walks to the edge of the walkway. „Everybody keep calm, let him break this truce first.“
Recognition dawns and Worlo narrows his eye and like a flash, a dagger appears in his hand, though he makes no further aggressive movements. His fingers tighten and loosen around the dagger, feeling its grip. This is the very same dagger that stopped the sword swipe that would have set events in a totally different direction all those months ago. It was his place of comfort and this man in front of him should not even be alive. He starts his reply with typical tones of betrayal, "2000 gold each to any o' ye who join me in the fight should it come to that." He lets the words hang in the air, chuckling uncomfortably before adding, "How are ye alive boy? I left your backstabbin' self with nothin' but a smile."
Allister:
With Worlo so close to the torch on his end, you are afforded a better view of the man and parts of him are not unfamiliar to you. His arm wrapping bears a likeness to the poor souls afflicted by the Death Curse you saw wandering about in Malar's Throat.
There is a moment of silence, and then manical laughter. Allister doubles over, dropping his weapons, laughing like a mad man. After some time he collects his wits and weapons, wipes tears from his face and spits an the walkway. „Lady Luck, I thank you for this moment. I don’t know what I have done to deserve your attention but I will repay you with my devotion for the rest of my live. Now, let me tell you a story. You died, Worlo. Short and simple, on your way to eternal punishment. But some priest brought you back. But you know what’s funny? He didn’t, he just bought you some tendays. I see a dead man staring at me. Guys, the curse got him. He‘s rotting away. And to your pets I would like to say, you are following a lost cause. Voltan, you are the next captain. Congratulations.“
Boosey who has been watching this exchange with interest, suddenly bursts out laughing. Looking between Allister and Worlo he slaps his thigh and hoots, "All this to gain revenge on a walking corpse. What a dilemma, do you kill him now or let the curse do it!"
Worlo's face screws up in what Allister thinks is supposed to be a grin, but the eye scar reaching down to his lips makes it into a weird thing. He says, "Ah, but you see. That is where you are wrong. I've been having visions for a the last tenday. A snake woman is going to find me here in this cove and together we'll solve the mystery of the Curse. I'll be rich beyond my wildest dreams once this is through. Tell me - Why would I have repeated visions of something that would never come. I won't die here today."
Behind the captain Voltan appears to be weighing his options. He spins his axe in his hands, looking back and forth from Allister to the captain. Eku slowly and cautiously makes her way over towards the ranger. In a low voice, she says something in draconic.
Vargach and Sthara:
Eku said to Vargach, "This captain has challenged this one's honor," as she motions to the fighter on this side of the walkway. "I believe they once were like family, but the maimed one left this one to die. This is a testament of this warrior's strength."
(Ooc sorry I had a decent post typed up but it got deleted and I’m too tired to type it up again now, really it only contained a contemplation of Vargach on lizard society vs regular civilizations, I’ll edit this as soon as I get up, sorry - but want to keep this moving)

Worlo's talk of dreams and of a snake-woman echoed in Sthara's head as she watched the conversation between Allister and the captain unfold.
"Calm, Wasting Man," Sthara shouts holding up an arm, "Ubtao has intertwined your path with a snake-woman as you'd dreamt. I am a child of Sseth." She punctuates the statement by spitting a mist over the injured pirate in front of Nenne as she walks closer to the bridge path (DC15 for 3 poison damage). Behind her, the hammer continues to float closer to her party members, floating where she had just stood and then again another twenty feet forwards. She slips past Allister on the bridge (two gridmarks in front if possible), and speaks again:
"Tell me more of this dream." (Persuasion if needed: 10)
Funderburk stood now alone with Fisher. With a cold look, and a tone to match it, he began to advance towards Fisher, speaking quietly and only to him so none of the others had heard him (I am about 70ft off). "My friends judge you pirates honorably and fairly. I honor them for that, espesially my friend Sthara- however I am not like them."
Funderburk, now 5ft away from Fisher, "I am Funderburk, and unlike my friends, I see no good nor evil. Only in what I do with my friends, and the circumstances that I happen upon." He pats his hand on his chest, "It comes with my race naturally." Funderburk knelt down and began to restrain the pirate with the manacles Funderburk had previously bought in the past when they were on the fort.
"I know you may not speak much after this, however I will give you one last chance to tell me where the captain is or I will take it from you myself. If that does not work," with that Funderburk brought out the stone, "I have other ways to contact him." Once more, he put the stone back in this pocket.
"Do not worry though." Funderburk brought a cold smile, "I will judge you on how we met coward. You will die. Whether you die peacefully or not, is up to your cooperation."
A long time passes before Allister registers that Sthara step in front of him. „Sthara? What is this? Tell me he is not what we are supposed to find? Please?“ The last word is more a sob, a plea than a question.
Very much unnoticed by the others, Boosey made his way to the rail at the end of the bridge where Allister was now standing. Watching the scene developing with interest, he kept a wary eye on the crossbowmen in support of Worlo. Leaning against the rail he loses himself in thought for a while; chasing a curse and pirates, he never expected to find them both together let alone the walking corpse that was now just a few steps away from him. He smiles as a thought occurs.
"Allister," he shouts. "This fool is going to have to help us or die. He can die now, or later from the curse, but if he tries to kill us," and he shoots the man a wide toothy grin, "he's lost anyway. The only way for him to survive is to aid us in our search for the curse." He turns to Allister. "It's a beautiful irony is it not my friend. Why kill a dead man with nothing to lose and waste your revenge when you can wait," and turns back to Worlo, "and kill a man who is very much alive!" intimidation (for effect) 9
Down below Fisher allows the restraints to be put on him, seeing no hope of taking one of those lightning bolts from the wizard on his own. His face grows dark and angry but he replies to the wizard, "What the hell do you want from me? Laskilar left with his crew."
It is Worlo's time to laugh now. He lets out a hearty laugh that fills the cavern then says, "This is too good! I have the upper hand and you damned fools are at my mercy!" His words are icy and cold. His uncaring eye cuts right into Allister as he speaks, relishing the moment. He points his dagger at the sorceress and says, "If you want anything from me you'll have to kill h-"
His sentence is cut off by the sudden and fast motion of Voltan as the man leaps forward from behind the wall. His greataxe arcs over his head, slamming down on the captain's extended arm, slicing it clean off at the elbow! Using his momentum, he kicks out at the captain sending him stumbling forward towards Sthara. Worlo's howl of agony reverberates off the entire cavern.
Usually combat initiative is rolled each time it starts. This situation is highly unusual and has kind of strung along - This isn't how I normally work this, but I felt like it worked in this instance. I'm moving Sthara and Allister's initiative up in the order of things because they are hasted. Allister, you're up first.
The moment Voltan‘s axe connects with Worlo‘s arm Allister regains his senses. Weapons come out of their sheaths faster than the eyes can see, his feet moving with unnatural speed. His mind is focused on killing Voltan. His timing is off on his first attack, but he gets used to his enhanced speed quickly. His rapier and cutlass hit Voltan in rapid succession.
Voltan yells out in surprise as the fighter's intentions become clear. While taking the hits he yells out to the crossbowmen, "Fight with me or die with the cap'n!" The man tucked into the corner quickly obliges the intimidating warrior and fires at the sorceress on the walkway. (4 damage) The bolt is only grazing, but it stings nonetheless. The second man shoots at the hastened fighter only to hit the side of the walkway wall.
If you missed it in Discord, that's a dc10 concentration check to maintain Haste, Sthara. Funderburk, you're up.
Funderburk, even hearing from this distance, the commotion going on, realized he has been away from his friends for far to long. "Come with me Mr. Fisher. We have much to do." With that, Funderburk and Fisher walked a distance until he knew he was within range, Funderburk made sure to have Fisher leave his crossbow on the ground that he previously left when he first surrendered.
Before he attacked, be made Fisher come to the left of him, and had him kneel down in a kneeling/sitting position. With his left hand on Fisher, ensuring that he stood there, and even watched as Funderburk cast his spell. Funderburk slammed his staff on the ground with his right hand, and said the incantation. With it finished, he shot off four blue missiles, each intended for the same target: Voltan.

Sthara shakes off the sting of the last attack and refocuses on what's in front of her. Her left hand glows as she brings the hammer closer, the right drips and froths as it begins to fill with magic. She raises it and shouts, "Tywila!" (Tidal Wave, DC15 Dex save, max damage is 26 and prone).
As the spell resolves, her heart pounds from the effect of Haste. She fires a firebolt at the pirate to the left (20 to hit for 13 damage), and shouts endure to both Allister and Worlo (8 healing for both)
Voltan takes the stinging bolts of energy with a grimace, but his attention remains devoted to Allister. When the wave comes crashing down, the pirate on the right side of the walkway has his feet braced, but his head clips the low wall hard, busting his chin wide open. Voltan was completely unprepared for the wave appearing out of nowhere and gets slammed down to the ground hard. The man on the left yelps out in pain as he falls away from the fight to lay on the ground.

The avatar of Kelemvor dissipates into a shower of ruby dust. Before it vanishes from sight completely, its sparkling particles land gently on the eladrin's shoulders as if reminding her that the power it represented is ever near. It gives some comfort to the cleric. Gold recedes from her hair.
She glances at the injured pirate beside her. "I mean you no ill," she says in her kind and quiet way. "Stay hidden, mind your manners, and I shall tend to your wounds once I am certain my companions are safe." (Persuasion if needed: 20) She skirts around him and up the deck to Z20, where she holds out her hand and shouts, "Behave yourselves!" Her amulet of Kelemvor radiates with white light as she casts Calm Emotions on the belligerents. "I will not have any more senseless violence thisday!" To the party, she adds, "Friends, stay your weapons or, so help me Kelemvor, I will stay them for you! Further attacks serve no one."
DC 14 CHA, centered on Voltan. All four pirates and Allister are in the radius. If anyone fails, they are now indifferent rather than hostile. This indifference lasts 1 minute, or until they are injured or see their friends injured.
A tone of indifference settles over the pirates. Voltan stops attacking and stares down at the weeping captain clutching his bloody stump. Worlo moves to a sitting position, trying to bandage his arm with a piece of his torn shirt.
