OOC: We'll assume y'all are meeting at a pub in the Quadroads. The Take doesn't have housing for non-members and does not offer food/drink either to non-guild members. I'm all for 'yes and' but not game breakers...
After the week long respite the party gathers in the late morning at the Dawn Lady a pub not far from the Take. Their they socialize with non-guild members and hangers on that idolize the guild itself. Mostly it's a tame and inviting atmosphere but this day, a trial day, the pub is bustling with strangers and hopefuls alike.
OOC: I was waiting for the primary party to wrap up shopping but got zero RP and rolls folks. PM me now to discus purchase. Shopping via the game thread is just going to bog us down. Jonpawl thanks for kicking us off. Lionsforge please free to post!!
„Oh, my apologies, i assumed you were already a member of the guild and wanted to ask for some hints and tips. But nice to meet you anyway. Those are Elijah, Feldspar and Harok. My name is Milo. We only joined within the last few days.“
"Really! How exciting I would love to hear about your trials and make some notes if you have time to tell me your stories." Randall sits up in his seat and signals for even more food and drink to the table. Taking out some paper and some ink in order to make notes. "I have lived here my entire life and have been wanting to join the Slayers Take since as long as I can remember. My father has taught me as much as he knows about fighting but I was never the best at it but I have an innate talent of persuasion and a little magic under my belt that has let me life a somewhat adventurous life. I just can't wait to become a member for the adventure and so I can continue my writings."
"Trials? We slew a chimera less than a week ago. Terribly fierce on it's own right but its lair. ..practically impossible to reach cold. Dangerous. Are you sure you want this? I was thinking our group would be getting another contract soon perhaps they will let you apply."
"A Chimera, most impressive. Quite possibly, is your group looking for more members? As first impressions go, you seem like an impressive lot, especially taking on a chimera on one of your first missions. Only time will tell how things will work out in the end." Randall says.
Feldsparjoins them at the table. "Yes, a chimera! It wasn't quite so fierce as I'd expected. In fact," he shudders as he remembers touching the creature's mind, "it was terrified of us, at least at the end. I don't think it had ever been frightened before." His voice trails off. "It was so scared of dying..."
There's as small change in the atmosphere of the Dawn Lady's common room. A just under seven foot tall goliath followed by a metal wolf have just entered the room. You're not sure if it is the steel wolf or the goliath woman that has caught the room's attention. She looks around, spots Randall, and comes over to your table. She grabs a chair and pushes in next to Randall. "I need whiskey and breakfast over here," she yells out. Turning to Randall she says, "How can you stand the warmth in here? It's unbearable. I could barely sleep. Even the floor was warm." She looks around the table at the others.
"Well, most of us sleep in a warm bed, so the floor is usualy not a problem." Comes the reply from the halfling who doesn't even reach up to the hip of the goliath.
Randall laughs at Oubliette's words and then says, "I knew I was going to like you from the moment I saw you, and especially your friend there." As he leans down to pat the metal wolf on the head, hoping he would not have to snatch back his hand to save his fingers like last time.
"Oubliette, these are potentially new friends of ours, they have just recently passed their trials, by fighting a Chimera no less. They are Elijah, Feldspar, Hark & Milo." Pointing to each in turn then laughs again, "And new friends this is my other new friend, Oubliette, that I was telling Milo about. Not exactly sure of her trade but isn't her companion fascinating, have you ever seen such a thing? Anyway where was I, oh yes, Oubliette and I plan on taking our trial today and joining your ranks." Then Randall pauses a moment, "Wait a moment, where are my manners, I am not sure if you all have heard what my name is, though if you have ever been to any of the taverns close to the barracks I am sure you have heard of me. I am named Randall and I am a bard by trade. Good to meet you all."
"Oubliette when you are done with breakfast, and no one else has nay other questions for us, I think we should get a move on to the Slayers HQ and begin our trials. I am eager to get the trials done with and become a member." Randall says as he adjust what items her is carrying preparing to leave when we are ready. Signalling the waitress to come over once more and dropping 20 go in her hands to cover whatever food was ordered at the table.
After a morning of introductions the party and the two newcomers walk over to the Slayer's Take. The guildhall is busy with people and Vanessa seems in her usual rankled spirits!
"You four," Vanessa shouts to the party: Harok, Elijah, Milo, and Feldspar. "Ready to work again or are you still nursing your wounds," she teases with a fanged grin.
"Yes," Murtin says grinning too. "We have plenty of hopefuls for you to drag through the hills and city to keep alive long enough to join," the halfling asks with a curious expression and steepled fingers.
OOC: the party (the originals) get to pick between 3 jobs.
Disappearing nobles in the Quadroads; the quarry is masked from the oracle's view
„I never asked, but how did you make contact with the Chimera? How were you able to read its mind?“
"Tis a spell called mind spike,"Feldsparsays. "I touch the mind of a creature, hurting it. But I always know where it is after that. I'll have to think about using it again." (OOC: This is just a bit of fluff I invented on the fly, trying to give Feldspar a bit of a role-playing hook to hang some character development on. The spell doesn't actually say he can feel the target creature's mind.)
Feldspar(a dwarf wizard, for the new players) can't take his eyes off of Oubliette's steel wolf. "What a fascinating construct!" He sticks his hand out for the wolf to "sniff." "Does it bite?"
He answers Vanessa, as well. "I certainly hope so! The real question is, will they be coming with us so we can find out? Werewolves, did you say?"
Elijah will answer Vanessa: "Yes I think we are ready to go back to work. And yes these are our friends, they hope to join the Take. This is Randall and Oubliette. If you so choose maybe they can join us on our next quest as their trial?"
"Very nice to finally meet you Vanessa, it has been a dream of mine to join the Slayers. If my new friends would like me to accompany them I would be more than happy to offer my services to them." Randall says.
"Not necessarily. What your party doesn't take simply gets met out to another guild member," Murtin replies.
"Yes. If you claim these two then you may lead them into the fray and vouch for them on your return," Vanessa answers. "I will need an answer soon," she adds next.
The guildhall main lobby is filled to the brim with guild members and hopefuls, each group is being seen to by Murtin, Vanessa, or the slightly scatterbrained human wizard that runs the front desk.

OOC: FYI future posters. Y'all are in the Dawn Lady not the guildhall.
