Lasair stands and looks to Tyrael. "Just stay here and look out for me ok," the druid explains but leaves the campsite before his reply. Moving out into the field away from the party the young druid kneels down looking at the wolf. Her staff in hand she's not making any hostile movements.

Flower-of-Ivory watched this whole exchange perfectly still but every muscle tensed and ready to pounce. Once the last wolf left she began to relax, eager to hear Lasair's report.
OOC: As it seems Jairus was not awakened, based on the prior actions posted, he will continue to sleep and gain the Long Rest benefits, unless something prior to dawn changes that.

Getting up and stretching out herself Lasair explains the wolves and how there might be something up in the forest. She also explains her desire to see what's disturbing it after they look in the goblin cave. She will then prepare her spells for the day, including her new wildshape forms!!
Jairus wakes with a yawn, his hair disheveled, and quietly eats some rations. "Ok by me, he responds. But we're going in on the cave first, it sounds like. Good enough."
OOC: Was he able to adequately check for traps at the entrance yesterday? Or were they distracted by the attack before he could do so?

(You found a system that appeared to be rigged as an alarm for the goblin camp, but nothing else.)
OOC: Thanks. Regardless of the camp being "taken care of," it seems, he would still disable that alarm system. Let me know if rolls are needed, or if he can just take his time and get it done before we enter the cave.
(( It sounds like we are ready to check out the cave. Final reminder, make sure you updated your character to level 2! ))
Unless there is additional scouting needed or any last minute preparations, Tyrael suggests the group take a look inside the cave. For those asleep during the wolf visit, he'll provide a brief description of what happened, but will ask Lashair to give more details on her interaction and what she'd like to do after the cave exploration.
"Inside the cave, I expect anyone who cannot see in the dark will need a light source." Before we head in, he'll cast light on the coin again for Jairus. "I'm assuming Longen will light his candle again, but keep that handy so you can search for any traps left behind in the interior." Closing his eyes for a moment, he lays his hand on his chest and mumurs an infernal phrase under his breath. His skin takes on a healthier look.
"I don't mind walking in the front with my shield, but I'm equally happy to guard our backs. I can fight equally well in hand to hand or at range."

Jairus flips and catches the coin, seeming more confident today after a good night's sleep. "You got it. I best stay near the front to keep an eye on any traps."

OOC: I believe so, with Jairus in the lead looking for traps, ambushes, and secret doors, per his training and habitual paranoia. His passive Investigation and passive Perception are both 15, let me know if any active checks are needed. Passive Insight is 13, if illusions are an issue.
Longen will enter the tomb as well, taking a spot in the middle of the party. He readies himself for what may come, rapier in one hand, trusty candle in the other.
When you hear that sode voce muffled rumble that is a cat warning prey it's about to die, you know Flower is awake.
All the wolves but one fade into the darkness. The remaining one moves closer, its eyes locked on Lasair.

Sometimes a Nat 1 tells a better story than a Nat 20 ever could.
The wolf cocks its head at you, still staring at you. You then hear a faint voice in your head . . .
"Hunting ground in danger. Big den imbalanced. Disaster."
By the time you look up again, the wolves are all gone.

Returning to the party Lasair explains what happened to Tyrael.
"The wolves are in danger. Some sort of scrounge in the woods. Maybe we could check it out after this," the druid says with a concerned look.

(Are you entering the tomb now?)
Jairus easily disables the makeshift alarm.

Following the group into the tomb.
Longen will enter the tomb as well, taking a spot in the middle of the party. He readies himself for what may come, rapier in one hand, trusty candle in the other.
"Flower will follow you, Friend Thunder-Tongue."
She falls in behind Longen, axe in hand.
