As the stone hits Pietersite, he manages to brace for the impact and seems to shrug off some of the strike. He turns to yell at the giants in common: "Apologies, did we wander into your territory? If you could tell us how to go around it, we would be more than happy to do so."
Stone's Endurance: reduce damage dealt to you by 11
(DM Question - How much do the stones look like they weigh? Are they large boulders, etc? Also, as we entered into a snowy area, Bones will have changed his prepared spells, removing anything that does cold damage for something else.)
Mia would grunt feeling the rock bounce off her armour. She'd look to the others with her brow raised and an expression of 'Are we talking or fighting?'.
Per basic rules that are called "rocks" that being said based on my thoughts and understandings, I would guess that they might be bigger than Bones is, close to 100 pounds.
(OOC - ok, so when I think rocks, I'm thinking smaller than that. So more a boulder sort of thing, no worries. Just getting a grasp on size for options. Cheers!)
(Edit: DM Question - Also, how far away are these giants from us?)
Bones stands up in the cart to face the giants, readying himself for action, but not taking any just yet. He looks to their new companion as he yells out to the giants. "Have you encountered giants before, Pietersite? Are they likely to speak common firstly? And secondly, are they likely to leave us to peacefully leave their home? I'm ready for either fighting or running, I just need to know what our course of action is here."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
As he moves around, and prepares to cast a spell, Talinian racks his mind trying to recall what he knows about Frost Giants. Also, "Pietersite, do you know if these giants are more, or less, vulnerable to particular attacks?"
Nature: 12
ooc: Also, how close together are the giant? Within 20' of each other? I'm thinking Fireball.
"Enough is enough," Bones says as he holds up his crystal ball and holds out a hand to the two giants, "Perhaps it's time to imprison these giants and either make quick work of them or make haste away from them." As he says this, he twists his hand, slowly forming a fist as he casts Hold Person (3rd level) to paralyse both creatures (Wisdom Save DC 16 and can roll saves at the end of each turn if they fail initially).
Yes you are correct, good call, I will let it stand for one round seeing as I missed it. So Bones and Talinian each can take one turn, Mia and Pietersite each take two, tomorrow night I will take the giants next turn either tomorrow night or after all other turns are taken.
(OOC - I'm happy for it to play either way. I personally couldn't remember and Bones has not encountered giants before and so would not be aware if the spell would hold or not.)
Well than OK, Waiting on Mia and Pietersite to take only one turn, I will take the Giant's next turn in the morning after I get my first class working on their work.

How long has it been since the eagle fight? Did we have a rest?

It has been days, if you have not slept, then we need to do a few more con checks, LOL.
Talinian does not really see anything that he can use for cover.

OOC: not to be a dick but I don’t think giants count as humanoid for purposes of Hold Person. They are not listed as humanoid in the MM
