When asking around you are directed to the infirmary. Once entering the infirmary you see Xyromyn laying in a bed, with her arm rapped up in bandges.
You asks whats wrong? "My arm has a huge piece of skin missing. I have no clue how, i just woke up with it one morning. I thought nothing of it and went on with the day. This morning however, I woke and it hurt, and had pus everywhere."
Talinian tries to think back if this was one of the ingredients from that spell. He also tries to recall what sorts of magic, including control magic, can be done with such a thing.
"My apologies, Mistress Xyromyn, and I am sorry for your difficulties." For all the formality of his speech it is clear the sentiment is heartfelt. "Do you remember when this happened? I mean what day? And do you recall if it was prior to or after Falami's departure?"
While they talk, Bones notions to Xyromyn as if to ask if he may look at the wound. He looks closely at it, trying to determine what may have made such a wound and for what purpose (from his experience with death, necromancy and medicine).
"Talinian I will be ok, it is already looking better. Well its kind of emberising, I noticed it the day after Falami left, but I found cloth in my chamber with blood on them. So I have no clue when it came. And at first I thought nothing of it, figured I did something while gardining."
Bones Its not so much from your long past but more recient events. There is a large chuck of skin cut off, based on your estimation its enough to cover what was needed for the spell.
Bones pulls Talianian and the others aside, excusing them for a moment to Xyromyn. "That piece of skin would be the approximate size needed for one of those necromantic spells. Why Falami would take it from the mage here though, I'm not sure. Unless there was a specific requirement in recreating her likeness perhaps? But in any case, this is disconcerting and doesn't tell us much more on Falami. Perhaps some pushing questions of Xyromyn will tell us something."
Bones turns back to Xyromyn, "Tell me, master caster, you mention Falami a moment ago. Did you happen to see or talk to her before she left the other day?"
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Mialee followed the knowledgeable intellects of the group, allowing them to do the questioning and deep investigating. Her eyes would trace Xyromyn and her wound. How could one not remember or notice a chunk of missing skin? It was disconcerning, to say the least… The warrior would focus on the casters choice of words and body language. Was she being truthful? Was she hiding something or leaving anything out?

(If persuasion is needed to proceed in the future, Mia’s willing to jump in. She’s willing to do some persuasion (+5 mod) with help from Bones or Talinian (them leading the conversation and her jumping in if there’s some resistance), if the group finds it necessary. Tossing the idea out there.)
There are a lot of different plants that are used for magic, potion making really. The battlefield location is unknown, however history suggests that direction.
“You know I don’t recall. Just something, and northwest. It was the hands down oddest conversation I’ve ever had with her.”
"Understood. Thank you for the information." Looking at the others to ensure there are no further questions, he then ushers everyone out. Once the door closes behind them, Talinian continues.
"We should gather our supplies, and our ally, and depart as soon as possible today. We will travel northwest, which is the general direction of the battlefield. Perhaps Xamra will have some way to locate Falami. What are your thoughts?"
Mia would nod respectfully Xyromyn prior to taking their leave.
Once in the privacy of her companions, Mialee brings a hand to her face in thought. She'd pat her nose for a moment. Brown hues would look to Bones. "Bones, how familiar are you with the herbs in the North West?" Her head would tilt as she'd ask her question. Then a small smile would break her lips and she'd look to both of the scholars for encouragement. "I'm sure throughout our recent studies you may have spark of an idea of what Falami could be looking for!"
(OOC: Suggesting we try a nature check with another investigation check maybe? Mia is looking to help leverage Bone's knowledge(rolls), as well as provide Bardic Inspiration (+1d6). And he can provide his own guidance?)
The potions master is Marigold, make a charisma check to see what kind of relationship you have with her. (This would be the only place in town to get any potions.) As far as general supplies I'm not worried about that stuff, I feel like with a PbP it's a little hard to keep track of some of it.

Marigold is a very young half-elf, especially for being a teacher at the school. Because of this she is always trying to prove that she belongs. Talinian you at some point of time must have shown her some type of respect because she likes you a lot. She has 2 healing potions 50 gold and 1 greater healing potions 200 gold. She also has a potion of hill giant strength 200 gold. All at a 1 % off.
She also offers a surprise potion that she offers for free. Its colors change as the liquid moves on its own. They flow from yellows to oranges to reds.

Based on what you can tell she is telling the truth, or at least what she believes to be the truth.

Bones considers this for a while. "Well, I have created many a potions with my herbalism kit, perhaps I could identify some useful herbs."
