Olivia lets out a light chuckle before patting Wubroth on the back, "Don't worry I'm sure we'll win them over, I'm sure they're like this with everyone before the weak gets weeded out."
Korba nods, saying "It seems my current mission is here with you all. Let us prove our worth to the guild so that they may trust us with what is actually happening here." As he stands up, he pats off his clothing, and anyone paying close enough attention to notice might see just a very few small grains of sand fall to the floor
"Well, while I disagree with the decision, since that is our group's decision, I will support it. How do we contact Anneleth to let him know we've taken his contract."
Walking out of the tavern, Korba doesn't pay much attention to the others, still not sure what they actually are capable of themselves. He goes out to his horse, pats her head, gives her a small treat from the saddlebags, and starts to unpack his armor that was laying behind the saddle. Before heading on he'll don it saying "Hopefully this will not require combat, but one never knows."
Olivia follows him outside and glances upwards looking for the tallest building she can see, "Well I hope it does, whoever kidnapped this person should get what they deserve."
Wubroth follows them out, and says "I think it would be fun to try to convince him to give us the girl of his own accord. That would also avoid killing, which could result in my death. that would be bad."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Are we the ones to give it to them?" Korba asks over the sound of his armor lightly clinking while he continues to ready himself and his horse for the journey, following Olivia's eyes to see if he notices what she is looking at. 15
Talinian nods. "Yes, Nartas. We only know that she is missing, not that she was kidnapped or stolen. We do not even know if she wants to be found. In any event, let us go to the High Tower and find out what we can."
Setting actions to words, Talinian begins walking, following Avery's directions.
Riding alongside as the others walk Korba nods saying "You are both very correct. Children... need proper instruction. Let us see what we find and proceed from there."
You have walked down a road that splits The Old District and 5 Chapels to the right is The Old district, you see massive sized houses, with large yards, most of them have one or two people standing in front, in a uniform, not that of the local guards, but each houses’ different. The left is 5 Chapels, you pass more than 5 chapels, you also pass a few schools, orphanages, and open eating areas. Avery said that the High Tower would be in the center of the major intersection right splitting 5 Chapels, The Old district, and the Military Ward. But all you see as you walk is a 1 story tower, for lack of better words. It is bult the same as a tower, except it is, well only one floor. It looks like a guard could stand on top of it. When you arrive at The High Tower, you walk around the tower looking for a door, but can not see one. You then hear, but not with your ears, more in your head.
The voice says, “Who are you, and what are you doing here?”
Talinian raises his eyes in surprise at the size of the 'tower' and even more at the voice in his...their...heads. However, it was not the first telepathic communication of this life. "We are from the Guild. My name is Talinian the Blue. We are here about...your request." He speaks aloud for the benefit of his companions but there is no need to announce to all and sundry the man's (is he a man?) missing daughter.
Right where you stand a standard wooden door appears out of nowhere, there is no door knob, but the door opens on its own. When you walk into the tower you are in a small sitting room with 6 chairs, each of them look to be specific chairs, one of them looks like the exact chair you would have had it custom made for yourself, if you had the money for such things. The 6th chair is extremely small, it is royal blue with deep red trim work. The room is round with stone walls. When you take a look around the room there are no other doors, infact, the door you came in from is now gone. As you continue to look around a new door appears, this one made from metal, again no door knob, it is 12 feet tall, and wide enough for all 5 of you to walk in shoulder to shoulder. You start to hear locks being unlocked, chains being moved, and metal scraping on metal. Then the door opens, and in walks a Grung. You have heard tales on these creatures, but never seen one, they are native to the country Ulo. (We are in The Towleigh Empire, which is the west most country on the single continent world, Ulo is the east most country on the globe.) Grungs are somewhere between reality and parents fear stories. “If you don’t behave the Grungs will come and get you.” This Grung is only about 2 feet tall, maybe an inch more, his red skin matches the trim of the 6th chair. He is wearing blue robes, and has a walking staff, it is oddly shaped and splits at the top. The door closes behind him as he walks to his chair and sits down.
“Sit, sit. Sit and join me in conversation. I am Chaarp, I am Anneleth's servant, I am Anneleth's voice, and I am Anneleth's fetcher of things he needs. Which is great... and nothing, ALLLLLL at the same time. Which brings us to why you are all here, Eris. Eris has ran off, and Anneleth would like his little girl back home. He has spent years traveling the world, and knows ALLLLLL too well its dangers, and does not wish his baby girl to sercume to any of the harms that the world will bring her.”
"Do any of you have anything you want to do before we head out?"
"nope. I say we leave. they don't like us much anyway." Wubroth says.
Only in death does duty end.

Olivia stands up and begins to follow Korba, "Well I don't see any point in wasting more time here, lets go get more details on this whole thing."
"The contract said to go to this high tower place." Nartas shrugs, "so I guess we start there." Answering Talinian while following korba

"There's no real grantee that kid was kidnapped, kids can be foolish, they very well could have just ran away." Nartas adds.
