"Indeed we did, Bones. I am not anxious to repeat the experience." With a sigh Talinian hands the innkeeper7 gold. "We will take all 3 rooms, for 2 nights at least. And a meal for all of us this evening." Turning to the others he says, "You will have buy your own drinks. Mia, one of the rooms is yours. Us men will split the other 2."
Turning back to the innkeeper he continues, "The additional gold is so that I may have a bath and your best wine, instead of ale."
"Bones and I will share our experiences on our most recent mission over dinner."
(First, sorry for the long delay in posting. The day was longer than we had planned, good thing for an old married couple, bad for the DM. Second thank you for the well wishes.)
I will speed things a little bit by skipping over a short RP point.
While traveling to the grave yard you find a guard out post, a few wooden barricades, and a total of 6 guards, and 2 captains. Of the 8 of them 2 guards and a captain were asleep when you got there and left. The 5 that were awake are wearing chainmail armor that looks like it has the same corroding that Mia's has, and are all wielding crossbows. The captain you met was an older looking human named Phillip, very to the point kind of guy. And offered to send two of his men with you. An elf named Isdril, and despite a disagreement between the two, a Half Orc, who was the only one not wearing chainmail, but rather a leather armor, and seemed to be without damage, he also wields a short sword, and has a silver chain on his neck with a wolf head medallion on it. As you all walk to the graveyard you follow the path, it's a simple one, from town to their graveyard, woods are on both sides.
The half-orc, Vur, is taller for a half-orc, and a greener skin tone(Vixia world history that you would know is that there are two types of half-orcs, the first, having a greyer skin tone are from an ancient sorcerer who created them using magic, greener skin means that they more likely have a human and an Orc parent, and not always conceived with consent). His hair a dark brown with mutton chops that would make Wolverine jealous. His ears have a small point to them. He talked with you the whole way, asking questions about the guild, and where you are all from. He admits that he is not originally from Presdines, he was born in Sceaucheauran, but his mother was killed when he was younger. The man who raised him and married his mother, Terryn, took Vur to an academy after Vur's mother had passed, Vur was about 5. Vur grew up at the academy where he learned how to fight, especially monsters. He was kicked out, about a year ago. "They said I'm too old to stay as a student, and too young to be a teacher. So I left, Presdines was hiring guards, so I signed up, I had no coin left. Terryn was good to me but he left me no gold."
You are almost to the clearing before the graveyard and you hear it, bagpipes, being played. Now bagpipes are definitely an acquired taste, but this sounds bad by any standard, more like a pair children were given it. You walk closer and you see Davey "playing" next to a head stone.
This graveyard is nice and we'll maintained, it might not have been over the past few weeks, but it is definitely still in use. You watch and after a minute of play Davey stops playing, and from the ground at his feet, in front of the tombstone slides up a yellowish ooze. Davey stairs at the ooze for a short time, looking as if he was between establishing dominicy and getting ready to run to the building behind him. After about 30 seconds or so Davey relaxes and says, "Yes, one more for the assault." To gain an understanding of his voice I would best reference it as sounding like Napoleon Dynamite, maybe a little more nasal sounding. He even did the hand jester when saying "Yes".
In the graveyard there is one other yellowish ooze, and 4 that look like the ones you saw on your way in. And then there is Davey. What a sight. Tall, about 6 foot 5, maybe 6, skinny face and frame, but a huge gut that both stuck out and sagged. How is legs keep him up right is beyond you, they are skinnier than any of your wrists. His clothes are dirty. On his hip is a short sword, and a quiver of arrows, the bow sits on the ground next to him.
You are to the west, and there are trees on the last 5 feet of the map. The thin strips are the metal fence that surrounds the graveyard, the break in the middle is the gate.
1 we will at least try and stay the way we have in combat, you all take turns, and I will take the turns of the two guards, and then the monsters, again I will house adjust the rules to best favor the players.
2 I would like you to be specific with which enemy you are attacking. If you look at the map the 4 gray oozes are green minis each market with a different color. The Jellys are two different colored mister tiles, (I know they are not the correct monsters but we work with what we have, and I didn't want to use the same for both.) If you are wanting to do what you did in our last combat and say "I want to attack the most damaged one roll a perception check for me with your attack, I'll keep track of the DC but it will be 5+ # of enemy in combat + round number, (round 1 DC would be 13) on a failed check, I will roll a dice to determine who you attack.
Bones whispers to the others, "My suggestion is that we keep Davey out of this fight until we have taken care of the oozes. I can look at casting something to keep him prone or even paralysed, however both run the risk of him escaping my grasp, so I'll need to concentrate on him as much as possible."
(OOC - spells Bones is looking at Hideous Laughter or Hold Person but will need to get closer. Alternatively he has Web as well but that won't stop Davey from entering the fray.)

Talinian nods. "If you have some method of doing so, please be my guest. I will start on the oozes. Remember, the gray ooze will damage your armor and weapons but our crossbows can hurt them. They are hard to hurt with acid, cold or fire, but other forms of attack are effective. The ochre jelly, those yellow blobs near the bard, should not be attacked with with slashing or lightning. Not only are they resistant to such attacks, they may cause the creatures to split in two, leaving you 2 opponents to fight." He focuses his attention on the assistants they were given, making sure they understand. "Also, they are slow, moving no more than 10 feet at a time, or 20 if they rush. I will block the gate."
Moving so that he is about 40 feet from the gate, Talinian pulls out his scroll of Cloud of Daggers and casts it so it forms right in the middle of the gate.
“What’s the deal with the graveyard you too mention?”
"Indeed we did, Bones. I am not anxious to repeat the experience." With a sigh Talinian hands the innkeeper7 gold. "We will take all 3 rooms, for 2 nights at least. It's the same map, one over head, one angled.
You are to the west, and there are trees on the last 5 feet of the map. The thin strips are the metal fence that surrounds the graveyard, the break in the middle is the gate.
The graveyard does continue on east for a bit.

“If davey isn’t taken care of, he could summon more oozes, besides he isn’t resistant to my spells”
OOC: How many total monsters are there? 4 gray ooze & 2 ochre jellies?
Tandor the White, Human Life Cleric
Correct, and Davey, he is a human, but by D&D ideas he is a "monster".

“Are orche jellies resistant to fire?”
OOC: sorry for lackluster posts, I’ve been tired a lot the past weeks, idk why
