"They didn't even seem to know the old mage even had a daughter. I'm starting to doubt the information that frog gave us is entirely accurate."Korba sighs, mounts his horse, and continues to Olivia "Lead the way."
While walking to the home of the second suspect, Olivia continues to speak, "I think you might be onto something. If no one knows he had a daughter, this could be something else. I think we should try to find something about the girl we're trying to find."
Olivia wanders between thought, thinking of the situation that they're in, "I think it'll be a lot harder to try and trick information out of her. If she does have our girl she'll probably be a lot more defensive and maybe even nervous. But I'm not sure if we should be honest about our purpose, or what situation we should craft for ourselves that could potentially put her in a situation where she reveals information."
As the guardsmen walk away, Talinian send his owl familiar into the sky to track their movements for the day. Looking at Wubroth he says, "You are quiet today, my friend. What are your thoughts on how we might question the dwarf wizardess?"
Ok, he watches them, and sees nothing odd, the two herass a few vendors, and spend some time in a tavern at dinner time. They go to what you would know to be a guard post and then leave in their own separate ways. Thomas goes to a building with several women out front and goes inside for an oddly short amount of time then comes back out adjusting his clothing, and goes to what you can only assume to be his home.

"I don't really see anyway we could approach a wizard living out of town to ask about the disappearance of her competitor's daughter which doesn't seem... accusatory." Korba says as they walk. He thinks back to what little they've learned and says "Really, the only thing we've learned that was unusual is that the girl was still at the Inn the morning after she should have been home. Though that also begs the question of why the frog man didn't try to find her when she didn't return that evening. She was still there, but he didn't even bother to check the one location he knew her to be at?" He continues, thinking back to the frog and the mage he's said to work for "They also are accusing people that seemingly have no way to even be connected. A guard who wants a crazy sword kidnapped his daughter?! Really?! Is it possible they're using the guild just to do their dirty work for them?"
Talinian nods. It was a good question. "Perhaps we should not try to be subtle. Perhaps we should simply ask the wizard if she knows where Eris is? I would only go for surprise, not accusation. If she was involved in Eris not coming home we may surprise something out of her."
You all ask around for where the dwarf woman wizard lives, it doesn't take long to find a young couple who the man is crazy in love with his wife, and the woman is overly happy that her husband loves her so much. While the man is unable to give you directions to Bali, with very specifics, and landmarks. Her home is located southeast of town, the current time would be about 2 in the afternoon, and it's about 5 miles. Do you leave now? You would get there at about 3, and back no earlier than 5 with having to talk with the witch. Unless you wish to go at a fast pace. How do you want to proceed?
You all make your way through the woods. You follow the woman's directions, to a path just out side of town, and break off of it at a large rock, that looks like three rocks stacked up. After about a hundred feet you cross a creak and follow it south east.
I would like for everyone to make a perception check please. DC 10.
As you are moving along the creek Talinian, you hear a growling noise, and out of the wood line jumps a 5 wolves, one of the wolves looks slightly larger than the rest of the wolves. Each wolf bites at one of you, Olivia the largest wolf bites at you. Everyone can take their turn, Talinian, you get to take two turns being the only one who noticed the wolves coming.
(Talinian’s first attack and the wolves attack are round 0, Talinian’s second attack and everyone else’s 1 attack are round 1)
(attached is a pic of the battle field, the dirt path is really the creek. The Wolfat Olivia is the “Alpha wolf” the other Wolves are normal wolves.)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Olivia raises her shield at the last second before the wolf is able to reach her (18 ac), in return she'll say a quick word under her breath to cast a spell. Olivia casts Hunter's mark on the alpha wolf and will use her action to attack the alpha wolf. Attack: 25 Damage: 14
I know our devil boy should be going first but just take this action in whatever order you want to, sorry if it causes trouble Here's hunter's mark https://www.dndbeyond.com/spells/hunters-mark
