Bones is working with Cinder to web up any spots in the roof that Talinian cannot reach in preparation. Each web is then connected to a central point for Cinder to then wait on his "alarm" system.
OOC: Talinian will also go with shifts. And he will set the alarms to audible but each with a different sound so that everyone knows which was triggered. He will also set Baltor to watch over the museum from the outside.
Before they all settle in for the night, Talinian tells them about the hand axe. "I wonder if she will let us take it. Do any of you know how to use such a weapon in battle? I'd also like to examine the casket. It emanates evocation magic, Bones. Let's go examine it. I'll give you a hand, and maybe you can request guidance from your deity."
ooc: Talinian will Help Bones in his examination since his Arcana roll is just a bit higher. That will give Bones advantage on his roll.
Bones nods and looks down at the casket, reaching a hand out tentatively. "Death is only the start of the next journey," he mutters, casting Guidance on himself, as he reaches out and before he touches it. "What secrets do you hold, old friend?" he says as he looks over the casket (Arcana: 28).
The casket was enchanted by some type of natural magic to keep it where it was and shield the body inside.
So you are taking shifts, what is the order? How long are the shifts? I would say you need an hour to complete everything you wanted to after the museum closed. The museum closes at 10 and opens at 8
Mia’s good with taking the last shift. Should Pieter not be interested in the axe, Mialee would be interested in taking it, assuming it’s ours to take. If it’s not, she wouldn’t steal/take it.
So Pieter during your shift it's quiet everyone has fallen asleep, until... you hear a noise, a moaning noise. Come from just outside the room your in, as you look you see a giant Firbolg ghost flick it's hands at the room you're in and then the skeleton bears that are on display come to life and let out a loud roar.
Pieter you may take your movement and either an action or bounce action, the other is used to wake up the others as the first round, the Bears turn on the first round is coming to life. Everyone gets to take a turn for he second turn.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Pietersite had thought of this possibility during his journey to here, but had hoped it wouldn't be the case. But it seemed that the mummy had not been stolen, but rather left on its own. Well, at least he was well prepared to deal with undead.
He gives a loud, piercing whistle, sure it will wake up at least one of the others, as he runs towards the waking skeletons. It is quite dark, but he does his best to aim at one of the large masses of bones, and gives it two quick swings of his maul.
I'm assuming I have disadvantage to attacks here, because I have no darkvision.
Attack 1: 27 Damage: 15
Attack 2: 23 Damage: 19
Using Precision Attack on Attack 1: + 8 to hit
Great Weapon Fighting; rerolling the two 2s from Attack 2: 6
In the end Attack 1 is 12 to hit, 14 damage, and Attack 2 is 19 to hit, 16 damage
Talinian rouses himself, looks around at the evolving battle. A hand darts out to a scroll he'd left out and he quickly reads it, a nimbus glowing around him briefly as he mage armor protects him.
ooc: he may want to move, or to fly. How high are the ceilings and can we get some sort of map of the combatants?
Cellings are only 8-10 feet high. I posted the map a while back and in the campain thread, but here it is again, you are on the first floor, and in the room in the middle, I have marked with an "X", your exact loactions are not that big of a deal, trust me as I tip the DM screen forward and wonder how the one Bear is still alive.
Bones wakes to see Pietersite attacking one of the bears, but also the ghostly Firbolg. While the others seem to have the bears under control, Bones focuses his attention on the ghost. "Don't attack us, friend firbolg! You've only startled us during our rest. We wish to help, if you would only tell us what we can do!" He approaches, shield at his side, but other hand up as a sign of peace.
OOC: No, not stealthy at all but I was assuming we were waiting until the place closed for the evening.
Tandor the White, Human Life Cleric
Ok Mia thank you you have a good idea of the place.
Lorrdwolf my bad sounds good.
Are Bones and Pietersite doing anything to prep for the night?
Are we taking shifts or just staying up?

OOC: Talinian wants the 3rd shift and they should last two hours.
Tandor the White, Human Life Cleric
(OOC - Bones can take the second.)
Waiting to see who takes first and last shift, so who ever speaks up first will get the shift they want, the other will get the left overs.

OOC - I can take the first shift.
I'd assume the answer is yes, but I guess it's better to make sure: has it been over a day since the giant encounter, so we can have had a long rest?
(Also curious about the rest situation.)

just an unstable unicorn.
You have had more than 1 long rest sense then.

Pietersite both attacks hit the Skeletal Greatbear, ripping into him, he lets out a roar. That ends round 1, start round 2.
