(Sorry I got behind, I would have liked to have had my robe identified before buying anything and then possibly by a scroll of alter self.)
[No probs.] Faendal casts identify on the robe and at the end of the 11 minutes he looks intrigued and tells you:
"I have not seen one of these since... well since before I arrived on "The Material Plane".I can tell that the robe has great power, though I am only able to get a limited read on it.Where I come from these robes are generally awarded by water gods and other water beings of great power to their champions, and I know that they originate from the Plane of Water. I can tell you that the robe appears to soak up power from being around water." [Unfortunately he can't give you further information (the robe's tier that you have unlocked is all he can give you info on), but you get useful information on how to grow the power of the robe, where it has come from and an interesting tidbit about him.]
[How much money do you need to borrow to pay for the scroll and identify spell?]
Third, she will find Oden, "So, time to go avenge your home eh? What comes after that for you?"
Aliez finds Oden staring across the water in the direction of travel. "Yes, avenge my home and make sure that my family new home on Brokenbank does not face a similar threat. I might travel a bit after that. I'd send my siblings part of my reward to help them settle. Surely they'll be fine without me and I won't be there to remind them of..."a few seconds pass, "Well, what next for you?"
When Reguh presented his robes to Faendal, Oden was reminded of something he heard during the battle. He decided to wait until they were back to the ship, so now he approached the gnome. "There's something you should know, something I've heard the Sahuagin Shaman say when we were fighting yesterday. She wanted your robes, and she was giving orders for you to be captured alive... saying that you must give it. Have you learned what is special about it?"
Reguh looks at Oden curiously upon hearing that the creature was after his robe and to capture him alive. “I was just told it’s from the plane of water. It is generally awarded by the water gods and other powerful beings to their champions. I know it helps me swim faster, but it has more power than what he can get a read for, and it gains power near water. It was given to me by someone I helped on my way out of my hometown. I don’t really want to go into detail at the moment, but he initially looked human and then turned blue after we were in the water. He probably saved my life.”
(I’ll edit the post with amounts for identify, scroll, and paper I’ll need to copy it if any.)
"If they wanted your robe so badly, does it mean they will come after you again? So you can be a sort of a bait?" Laire was still entertaining the idea of somehow to control "when and where" rather than ... actually, what were they supposed to do? Capture the Big Bad Fish? Kill her? Where was that Sahuagin even hiding?
"I am a little tight on coin until we sell the weapon of this fish person. But thank you," Aliez responds to Heidi.
To Oden: "I'm not sure what is next for me. Me and Vincent had been leaving the empire and wandering. I had planned on settling down on the island for a while but now, I'm not so sure."
To Vincent: "Vincent, we should talk. I... I have a lot in my past. I left the empire to escape it. To start over. Is there somewhere, a little more private we could discuss this? I know you don't trust me. I wouldn't either with how little you know of me. But you also spent the last almost year on the road with me. Please, just listen to have I have to say."
[...] what were they supposed to do? Capture the Big Bad Fish? Kill her? Where was that Sahuagin even hiding?
[Three Earrings indicated that she believed Selachai to be at Palma Flora doing unholy things to the dead bodies, and she seems fairly confident that is where Selachai is now. It was Oden who suggested that you all stop Selachai, though Three Earrings was encouraging it, with Three Earrings making it clear that she is interested in the sceptre. As a refresher, see here.]
In the late afternoon, the winds are steady and it is literally smooth sailing.
Boerth calls out to Dillyu "Up for a game of kobald dice?" Dillyu starts answering "Definitel..." to be cut off by Heidi who says "Not a chance ye lazy, good fer nothin' elf."
Boerth sticks up for Dillyu, saying "C'mon Heidi, you've gotta give him a bit of a break some of the time. I for one think he is anything but lazy and think he has been a great addition to the crew". Heidi glares at Boerth and says "Fine, but I suggest ye choose yer allegiances carefully an' think twice before talking back to me in the future!"
Boerth sets up a tray and plops four octahedron dice in the centre, asking "a silver buy in?" Dillyu agrees and they play a few rounds:
Boerth roll 1: 18
Dillyu roll 1: 17
Winner round 1 (+1 sp): Dillyu
Boerth roll 2: 20
Dillyu roll 2: 14
Winner round 2 (+1 sp): Dillyu
Boerth roll 3: 23
Dillyu roll 3: 19
Winner round 3 (+1 sp): Dillyu
Boerth chuckles "Luck of the sea elves that is. I think you always come out ahead." Dillyu agrees "I'm up 12 gold total for all our games by my count."
Boerth calls out "Anyone else interested in playing?" and then directly to Beatrice "How about you. I owe you for giving up your bunk, maybe you can join Dillyu here in sending me broke?" Beatrice responds "Why not? Warning, if I catch you cheating... well [she pats her oversized axe] lets just say that it isn't in your best interests." Boerth laughs and says "I only ever cheat when there is more at stake, but I like your style."
They play a few more rounds and the three of them talk, though unless anyone else joins from the party, I won't RP that further beyond doing a few more rolls of kobald dice:
Boerth roll 1: 15
Dillyu roll 1: 17
Beatrice roll 1: 23
Winner round 1 (+2 sp):
Boerth roll 2: 12
Dillyu roll 2: 16
Beatrice roll 2: 15
Winner round 2 (+2 sp):
Boerth roll 3: 16
Dillyu roll 3: 19
Beatrice roll 3: 15
Winner round 3 (+2 sp):
Other participants lose 1 sp per round.
Everyone wins a round, so no-one wins or loses anything across the three rounds.
Let me know if your character joins the game or the conversation.
[I accidentally misspelled Boerth as Beorth a few times previously if anyone searches through the notes about him.]
As late afternoon turns into early evening, Heidi takes the helm from Kijori and he takes a break from his navigator duties.
Kijori walks to the front of the deck (forecastle deck?) and takes in the breathtaking sunset - a golden orb set against a sky ablaze with colour, from fiery orange, through blood red and to shimmering indigo, with an equally brilliant reflection on the ocean. Kijori gazes wistfully out across the water with a slight look of sadness in his eyes.
Heidi yells at Boerth and Dillyu to get back to work and Boerth starts swabbing the decks and Dillyu goes downstairs and starts preparing the meal for the night.
Dajarkal is taking a break now and walks towards the back of the boat (poop deck?) and instantly starts chatting away with a few sea birds that have landed there.
Three Earrings emerges from her cabin and prowls around the deck of the ship nodding at each of you when she passes.
[If anyone posts that they wanted to join in kobald dice and the conversations with Boerth, Dillyu and Beatrice, I'm happy to have that retroactively apply. If not, we are moving on to the evening. Let me know if there are further interactions with any crew or other party mates that you want to happen.]
Oden is very tempted by the game of dice, but he's also restless because of the coming mission. He looks for Vincent, "Why does it feel like going back to Palma Flora takes longer, despite the good wind? Would you spar with me for a bit? I feel like I should get used to the weight of this shield before the fighting."
“My ear is always open.” He’s clearly still on guard, with his hands held loosely in front of him, and his weight held up in the balls of his feet. “And where would you suggest is private on a ship?”
(feel free to lead us wherever, Vincent will follow)

Laire would join the game - more out of curiosity than in a hope to win anything. After a couple of rounds she winked at Beatrice and suggested "How about two against two here? Girls against boys?"
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Boerth welcomes Laire to the game "Excellent, now we have a real game going." He asks Laire if she has played kobald dice before (she hasn't) and when she tells him this, he gleefully explains the rules and history of the game (the history has nothing to do with kobolds). He then tells a funny story about how he actually won these dice from a kobold.
Round 1:

Also let me know if there is anything else that you want your character to do before they go to sleep for the night. In about 12 to 14 hours the story will move on. At some point before bed, you have dinner, which is uneventful. Dillyu serves up a simple but tasty meal of lettuce cups with fried nuts, sprouts, some kind of citrus, shredded beans and noodles topped with a smoky, umami type sauce. He also has some sort of shredded fowl, though neither he or Dajarkal have this in theirs. You all enjoy it and it is much more filling than you would have expected when looking at the ingredients.]
(Do not want to stall the game, if you need to move it forward just go ahead. )
Laire picked up the silver coin (she really has to learn to value these shiny things) and smiled to Boerth: "If it makes easier for you, I am too never come across anyone like you. Or Dillyu, or anyone in your vrew for that matter. Well, now I did, but I still feel like I wandered into a fairytale and met creatures, that exist only in books." With a more serious tone Laire explained: "Those like me - we live in the mountains. You call them Cyrios Mountains. Some of us think we should just stay there, as we did for centuries. But some get curious". She smiled again, "there is a whole world out there - here! - and we never got to see it! I just had to go. And now I am learning the meaning of the words about cat and curiosity. Still do not regret it, though".
(Do not want to stall the game, if you need to move it forward just go ahead. )
[Definitely don't worry about stalling the game. It is only if characters aren't interacting that I'll move the story on faster. Just like in real life (and as I wrote in player recruitment thread) interaction with others (including NPCs) will open up opportunities and I want to allow ample chance for that, but not force it. Thanks for taking up the opportunity and Boerth will respond shortly (when I'm not replying on phone).]
Boerth's interest is piqued by Laire's tale "A whole people cut off for centuries? What happened, was it by choice? I'd love to know more about your homeland."
Boerth indicates "I am also a wandering soul, though less by choice and more by circumstance." He chuckles and continues "My mother lost me in a game of dragoon cards [not dragon cards] when I was a wee child and I have been sailing the seas for a couple of decades since. I have picked up her penchant for dice and cards and those are all I really remember of her."
Laire sighed. "It is if the Calamity had never happened here. I guess a millennia is a long time but it is still strange to me. At home we are reminded of the horror every day - dead stony trees are still there. This is also a reason I think it would be good for my people to see other lands, to finally realize the past is the past, and leave it behind. There is so much to see, so many new people, so many strange and wonderful things. I want to see them all and then return and tell to my people, and make them wish to see it all too. And may be find their place in that new world."
She gave Boerth a side-glance: "Think it is too ambitious?"Then she frown: "But tell me you exaggerated when you said your mother lost you in a game? Even with all these killings and islands disappearing, this sounds too much."
