When Cora woke up, she felt rested. She couldn't tell what time it was, but it didn't matter too much. She went to the washroom and cleaned her face. It had been a while since she stretched or exercised, so she made it a point to plan to convert one of the rooms into a place where she could do so - perhaps setting up a target dummy and finding a place to put a few wooden beams, bars, and a stack of large iron ingots. She did, however, wear something light and at least ran around parts of the city casually, planning in her mind how she would set up the exercise room.
When she returned, sweaty and catching her breath, she went upstairs and bathed, combed her hair, and dressed up. She sat down at the table and asked Lif to make her breakfast, which she devoured hungrily. She then resumed her work of cleaning and doing her best to fix the Inn.
"That so? Hm..." Vincent sits back in his seat and rubs his bearded chin. "Not entirely sure what your mission is havin' you do. Take out the killer or just find 'em and report 'em in? If anything, I'd suggest settin' some bait. Can't be too hard to put on some fake elf ears, I think." The fighter grins over to Cora. "Now I know workin' with people may not be your thing, but if you want some back up you know you can rely on us. Er... Well, maybe the more stealthier folk. Regardless, I think you'll get it next time around!"He laughs and gives her a pat on the shoulder.
The next morning Vincent could be seen trying to help fix up the tavern to return it to its former glory, hoping they would be able to fix it up and be up for business soon. Had any of the ladies needed his assistance with their own personal projects, he would be willing to lend a hand with a smile.

"Someone in the Dock wards is killing elven and half-elven sailors."Cora said, last night. "I'm supposed to find out who, rough em up a bit, turn em into the Watch for..proper justice."she didn't like the sound of that. It was no fun. If it were up to here, she'd murder the killer cold on the spot. "I'm not putting on elven ears."she growled. "Nor do I like the idea of putting anyone else in jeopardy."What's the big deal? People are already in jeopardy down at the dock ward. She closed her eyes and fought back a sigh.
She turned to Heishe, realizing that one of two things was going to happen if she brought her along: she'd be helpful and rub it in Cora's face, or she'd get hurt and Cora would feel guilty. Realizing the second option was more likely, at least she had a better chance of possibly finding the killer.
Drusilla will spend her downtime working to make a space in the basement that will serve as a place to worship Erathis.
"I'm afraid that like Vincent, I would hinder any attempts you made at being stealthy. But should you need my magical assistance, I'd be happy to provide it."

"Yes, i'm sure."Cora agreed with Heishe, smiling half forced. Then she glanced at Drusilla. Yes. Those two would probably be very unstealth. But, they were offering their assistance, so say something nice. "Great. Thanks."
Cora spent most of the day setting up a small room as an exercise room, should anyone want to use it. She made it clear it was for everyone.
The armored warrior dragged Cora through the hard, dry, scorched ground of Hell. All around them, war on the Fourth Layer raged, and she knew the end was near.
"Do not struggle."the woman said, her voice heavily accented, she was not from around here."By the Weel of Bane, soon, your oblivion weel come."
Cora weakly struggled against her grip as she was dragged along her back. One of her eyes was swollen shut, and her jaw was broken. The rest of her body was in pieces. The red-headed woman was in full plate - dragging her, and very strong - the God of War, Bane the Lord General, fueling her strength through genetic engineering. Cora was no match. She growled and grunted like a wounded feral animal, trying to grab the grip the warrior had on her and kick at the ground, anything to gain leverage against her, but Cora was broken. Inside and out, and so very tired.
Cora tried to scream, to show any auditory sound of defiance as she was being dragged, but she no longer sounded human anymore.
"It took me very long time to find you."Misha said, "But I hef two things you do not: strength, and patience. I do, however, offer you a small thanks - for your capture and death guarantees me the first step as a Prime. Een your service to the Fourth Layer, Hell's enemy - Bane - has deemed you: guilty. Know that you have been conquered, and I am here to re-unite you with the spirit of your father in death. And now, know you will die forgotten, and broken."
Misha let Cora go, and the rogue fell to the ground. Misha dropped her shield, raised her massive warhammer over her head. Cora tried to get up, but couldn't. Her thigh was broken in two places, and her vision was blurring. She choked on blood filling her lungs. Yet despite all the pain, she smiled weakly.
"So you...own...a tavern?" The dragon (who was currently an elf) tilted his head as he spun her across the dance floor, testing the words. "For how long?"
"Oh, until we decide we don't want it anymore, I expect." Heishe gave him a lazy smile as she whirled through the air, her feet never quite touching the floor as the two danced through the air.
"Your kind are terribly strange with your ownership." The dragon-elf shook his head.
"Perhaps, but it does confer certain advantages. Although...I can't deny that it's hard to top your own abilities. But not all of us are born such powerful creatures." Heishe laughed. "We cannot sculpt fairy tale castles out of dream, we must make them in the real world." She gestured to the stunning view around them, a ballroom of silver and glass, with clear pillars reminiscent of tree branches arcing up through the hall, and glittering silver stars drifting to the air. And at the center of the argent galaxy danced the two of them, the dragon and trickster, the two brightest stars of all. Heishe's shimmering silver dress never stopped moving, a spray of starlight and water wrapped around her as she continued. "A tavern is a small start, but the opportunities it creates are...substantial. Especially since we will be making it a place of business. Don't you know that tavern owners know everything there is to know?" She winked.
"Well, I know that the tavern owner is a favorite guise of those of my kind who wish to settle," the dragon admitted. "I suppose that's part of the reason why."
"Indeed." Heishe stepped into a turn. "Waterdeep is showing its darker side. Why, tonight I may be catching a killer." She smirked. "And I certainly hope I will be. I'll be interested to see what kind of team Cora and I make."
"Well, don't get yourself killed."
"Is that a hint of worry I detect? From an ancient dragon to a lowly little mortal?" Heishe raised an eyebrow.
"Mmm, I may be a dragon, but I can care for mortals. Besides, I wouldn't want to lose my most interesting source of news."
"Whatever you say, grandpa."
"You are impertinent."
"Always."
Heishe spends the day moving methodically through the bottom floor of the tavern, first getting the taproom totally clean, then the pantry, and finally the kitchen. Then she starts figuring out exactly how to get the fixing up budgeted.
To have the Tavern open, you need 1000GP and or enough man hours worked, along with 250GP guild membership costs. I don’t think any of that has been paid. I would say a day of labor is 10GP off the cost since none of you are trained in running a tavern or building one. So far you have put in I think around 5 days of work between you. So 950GP left on the building.
If you would rather pay people to work on it, 83GP is a full day of labor for a guild to repair the place, they would need 12 full days to fully repair the place. Or you could offer to work for guilds to get their help.
You can also ask for a loan, the Zhents are known for giving them along with others in the city, Renaer may be able to help with that.
Cora: A day of work on the tavern (10GP off, 940) For your night at the Dock Ward, could I get a stealth roll, a perception roll, and an investigation roll. Advantage on all of the due to Heishe helping you.
Heishe: You get a day of labor done at the tavern (10GP off, 930) Could I get a perception and disguise roll from you for the night.
Drusilla: You are able to make a decent humble shrine to Erathis in the basement, to make it a nice full shrine, you would want 50GP of statues, incense, and more. You may be able to get that from the church to Erathis if you do them a favor.
Vincent: You are able to spend the day fully working on repairing the tavern (10GP off, 920)
Lu-Lu: Your training at the Tower of Aster require you to return for training. Roll me a history, nature, and arcane check to see how much longer the teaching part of your training lasts.
"Alright, Heishe."Cora said at night. "Let's go. Guys, we'll be in the Dock Wards, down south. If we're not back tonight that means something bad happened."
Druisilla, at the temple to Erathis, the head priest tells you, "Recently with the violence in the city, the Watch has been overwhelmed. If you would go and aid them on patrols for the next two days, we can provide what you need for your shrine."
Cora and Heishe, your night is unfortunately uneventful. You do learn from people in the area, that the murdered elves tend to have been drinking the evening they die, especially around Muleskull Tavern.
Doing her best to stifle a long string of frustrated expletives, Cora sighs at the somewhat unproductive evening and tells Heishe. "I appreciate you coming along tonight. If you're up for it tomorrow night, we should try this again and perhaps get a few drinks at or around Muleskull." Under her breath, she mutters something along the lines of the situation being bullshit with her luck.
Heishe nods. "Oh, I'm certainly up for it," she says with a smile.
The next morning, Heishe tracks Cora down at breakfast. "Well, the Alliance wants me guarding some guildmembers at the Muleskull. I'll let you know if I see anything while I'm there, and I'll see you there tonight?"
"Of course. I would be glad to aid in the protection of the city." And Drusilla will spend the next two days helping out the watch so that she can get the supplies to make a shrine.
