Sensing the horses need for urgency, Uragum said, "Hold that response, let me take another look around for such an enemy and then I'll return." He will then get back on to his beast shaped friend to continue the perimeter sweep.
Now that the battle has ended, the rest of the island has quieted. The Folk have collected their dead; the few that you see are returning to their homes as they are pounded by the rain. The landing holds a curious site: Two longboats have been pulled onto the shore that certainly were not here when you landed earlier in the day. They are large and well-made; sturdy enough, obviously, to have been able to make a trip on the currently rough sea waters. They still have oars inside, and each looks large enough to hold between 6 and 8 people.
It is nigh impossible to spot anything in the distance amid the crashing waves and the sheets of rain, but Sylyra is certain that for a brief second, he could see the outline of a seaborne vessel in the distance, outlined by a flash of lightning.
Horse-Sylyra begins shaking his head and shivering his flanks in an attempt to communicate to Uragum that he should dismount. Once he does, Sylyra shifts back into elf form and points out the ship to Uragum. "I assume that is the infamous 'ghost ship'."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Uragum strains his eyes to see what Sylyra is pointing at. Perception 21 He wasn't sure if he was seeing a ship or if he just thought he was seeing a ship because Sylyra was so convinced he saw a ship. He looked at long boats and then back at the town. "Everyone said it was a dragon that attacked, but it's clearly not. And I don't remember long boats in any of the stories. You think we could board them, row over there and surprise attack them?"
OOC: The results of Uragum's Perception check are spot on :D
Ready to advance once the next action is taken. Arnald and Ola are in the barn, while Sylyra and Uragum are at the landing. It might be a good idea to group up and discuss what to do next.
Sylyra looks at Uragum for a couple of silent seconds, then begins walking back toward the barn. "Let's tell the others." Once back at the barn, he (with Uragum's aid) tells the others about the longboats and the perceived ship in the distance. "We could probably decorate ourselves in the same manner these have, but it would still be very risky putting ourselves on a boat and rowing to the ship."
"I agree,"nodded Ola to Sylyra's risk assessement, "do any of you know how to raw a boat? At such weather? I do not. Would you be able to get close enough to the ship for us to climb aboard? I can not see in this darkness, neither can Arnald, and such a fit would be difficult even at the day light. What if those raiders have some password? And the last thing... Do you trust locals with our horses?"
As Sylyra comes back into the barn with the kobod, Arnald summons Sly and then pulls his rope from off his pack and starts tying one end to one of the barn's support beams. "Bring our dinner on over here." Looking to Sly, "Yes yes, I'll let you have his eyes."
The kobold gasps awake after a few moments, eliciting a giggle from Elisande. "No, I wan' haf his eyes!" she plays along, waggling a small dagger at the creature in an attempt to look menacing.
The small "undead" menace whips its head around wide-eyed, taking in its surroundings. It makes a futile attempt to struggle against the rope and starts panting, looking between those gathered before it.
Ola coldly studied the creature, feeling nothing but disgust. Elisande's enthusiasm, though, a touch disturbing was understandable, and right now information was more important than anything else. Ola was just standing there with a torch, waiting for others to extract that information form the prisoner.
Ola stands guard by the barn, nothing changed.

Arnald heads back to the barn. Seeing Ola he says, "Found a couple longboats on the shore. But no sign of the ship they launched from."

Horse-Sylyra looks out at the water to see if he can see where the boats came from.
Arnald looks around to the others, "So.... do we want to row our way out of here?"

Sylyra draws his own dagger. "Do you speak Common, creature?" He stabs the dagger into the beam right above the creature's head.
The kobold does not speak, but nods frantically, still practically heaving in fear.

Let me see if I can speed this along ...
"Is your crew the party that has been attacking settlements and farms along the coast?"
If yes:
"Why has such a small number of you come here? How many more are waiting on the ship?"
If no:
Insight check. If Sylyra feels the kobold is telling the truth, he asks, "What is your purpose in attacking this island?"
If Sylyra feels the kobold is lying, he pulls the dagger from the beam and holds it against the creature's neck. "Don't lie to me," he growls.
