Naivara cast Speak with Animals on herself, and asks the animals if they would be willing to go farther inland and give her an estimate about how many people there are on this island.
Kierro peers over the horizon. "I'd say he managed to speak to the dragon inside the temple. And that's all he really had to do for everything else to work out."
"He shouldn't have gone to do it in the first place," Naivara says. "Who knows what could have happened to everyone else. He recklessly put everyone else in danger."

Soon Latrius, astride the dragon, arrives at the beach. The four Quetzalcoatlus land, their own riders climbing off. Then the four beasts transform back into Githyanki themselves. There are 15 Warriors, 2 Gish, 2 Knights, 1 Kith'rai, and the big Githyanki with the silver sword. So a total of 21 Githyanki, plus the dragon. The dragon himself transforms into a githyanki man wearing the robes of a sorcerer. he also has on a crystal helm of some sort, a silver mask, and silver shoulder guards. In his hand is a magical staff of some sort.
Naivara watches the group with distrust, but speaks up. "Latrius what exactly were you thinking doing something so... so... stupid! You could have gotten us all killed."
