Honor moves down the road, but the Hobgoblin has a headstart, and she's short on ranged weapons. "Surrender, or you will know no safety." Her voice rolls out like a wave of thunder. Intimidation: 18 (If with advantage due to either Latrius' words or thaumaturgy, here's a second roll: 12)
"What you want with us..." The hobgoblin says as he stops and drops his longsword to the road. He holds up his hands. "We was doing nothing but minding our business when ye came in attacking..." He is clearly making it up as he goes, not even attempting to cover up the fact he is doing so.

Kierro:
"That's something that I doubt; you were lying in wait to ambush passers-by on the trail. What if it wasn't someone with the ability to defend themselves? You surely would have killed or captured them...
...fortunately, the blow that I dealt to these three was deliberately meant to incapacitate, not kill them. I left them alive. I will extend the same courtesty to you, and lay no further harm to you or them if you might surrender your weapons, vow not to attack us, and help us with what we are searching for - the missing supplies to Phandalin."

"Pug there isn't getting up from that." The hobgoblin says as he nods to the hobgoblin's corpse that Higgul beheaded. As he speaks though he removes his weapons and lays them on the road. "Missing supplies?" He asks, his face going a bit shifty, as he simply is unable to keep from giving away the fact he is not telling the truth. "Don't know nothing about missing supplies with the symbol of a lion on them. Never heard of them and don't know nothing about those goblins who are doing that."
"I think you're lying, friend."Honor's voice is back to normal -- well, maybe a little rumbly. "All he said was 'missing supplies.' How did you know they had a symbol of a lion on them if you've never heard of them?" She approaches so she's close enough to kick his sword away, maybe grab him if he tries to make another run for it.
Higgul walks up with Honor, wiping the blood from his longsword with a piece of cloth from the dead hobgoblin's tunic. He remains quiet as Honor questions the hobgoblin though.
The hobgoblin, glancing from Honor to Higgul, then to the others of the group, sighs. "So... , a bunch of goblins are taking whatever supplies come this way, then sending them on to King Grol." He looks towards the road. "I'm going to need to leave this area after telling you that much, or else I'll be dead when Grol finds out I talked. Can I go now?"

Latrius:
Latrius sighs.
"While I normally wouldn’t condone killing prisoners, I have no doubt this one will immediately run off to King Grol, and we’ll lose any advantage we might glean from surprise. I say we kill him or have one of us take him back to the village."
Latrius will then check the hobgoblin corpses for anything useful, especially some sort of bow.

"See if anything they have on them matches the list we got from the store owner," Honor reminds Latrius. She turns to the hobgoblin. "Do the goblins have someplace they're stashing things before they take him to Grol?"

The hobgoblin grunts as Latrious says he should be killed or taken to town. "I'd rather be taken prisoner than go back to Cragmaw Castle." He says with a shrug. "What you going to do with those ones?" He nods to the three that are unconscious. "I can give you directions to the place the goblins take the stuff when they get a supply wagon, it is a bit further along the road." He indicates the direction you were headed. "Just let me and my companions go, and we'll be far away from here in short order, and will not be coming back."

Kierro:
Insight on the Hobgoblin's directions and claim that they're leaving: 17
"...I see. Your three friends will be able to come with you when you leave, though you must tell them that they were spared on the condition that they not attack any more travellers. Please do not abuse this second chance."
Tessa says, "The shop across the way may have raspberries, you say?! Very well. Good day to you madam!" Tessa heads to the other merchant shop with a whistle. She still has a desire for sweets, in particular raspberries or some type of raspberry flavored treat. She is certain once she has satisfied this craving that her world will make normal sense again.
Latrius stares at the cleric for a few moments, then nods begrudgingly.
"Then let the deaths of whatever travelers they attack next fall on your head, priest. The wilds are no place for mercy."
He turns to the conscious hobgoblin.
"Know this, friend. I am not as prone to merciful whims as my friend here. If I see you again, you’re dead. You only get one second chance."
He’ll then divide the gold into 5 piles of nine coins each, and put the remaining two in a separate pouch. He takes one pile, a longbow, and 40 arrows.
"I’ll keep the remainder, divide it out if we get any more. If not I’ll give it to our debtor. Seem fair?"

Naivara takes the gold handed to her, and picks up the remainder of the arrows. She wasn't really sure that the hobgoblin was telling the truth, but was willing to trust Kierro's judgement of them.
Mylene frowns at the elf woman, but takes her words at face value. “You have no ability to divine whether I have been enchanted, then? No rumors of similarly afflicted people have reached you? If heading for a larger city is my only recourse then so be it. I’m not over fond of rustic locales like this one. You’re certain there is nothing else you can do, here and now, regarding my memory?”
"I'd like to believe you," Honor says, "but you haven't been very forthright with us. Give us the directions, and what you know of the security of the location. We'll take you back to town and leave you under guard. If your words prove true, we can let you go, knowing you'll keep your word to live a peaceful life. If we find you've lied --" she shrugs. "Well, you'll have more to answer for."
Honor will take her share of the gold, a longbow, and split the remaining arrows with anyone else who also wants them.
Your blow strikes home, but the hobgoblin is still up, he moves down the road.
