(Question: Is the ship sailing towards or away from the mainland?)
Kierro shares what he observes with the others. He and Chysen fly next to the ship, waiting for the captain to arrive, speak with them, and allow or deny them boarding.
She asks after a pause, "What... does he do with the doors?"
Kyrian smiles "She does all sorts of things. She built a sculpture one time, then set it on fire. Most of the time she just chews them. Anyway, I should get back to brooding. Have fun!"

“I will take responsibility for what I have done. [...] If must fall, I will rise each time a better man.” ― Brandon Sanderson, Oathbringer.
Torreneg The orange transforms into his lizardfolk form. He frowns down at those who disappeared into the storm below. "Why aid the ship?" He asks Yuno in a baffled voice. "Better if ship destroyed, and we plunder what is left. Saving them, then taking things, seems more work than it worth." He shakes his head turning to the castle. "Now, this I like. Needs some swamps added in, and the rest of these dragons kicked out, but it would be nice to call home." He glances to Yuno. "One thing I do like about these goody-two-shoes, is that they trust so easily." He gives a deep laugh as he nods to the castle. "Shall we go and see what plunders we can claim, as we find rooms?"
Morgan "I was thinking, when we get back to the mainland, maybe seeing about a quick teleport circle up to Neverwinter. See if we can hunt up another lair of statue-boy there." Morgan suggests to Leto. "I could use an upgrade in some of my gear after all, and I don't know how much we have left from the red dragon lair, or from your first pile of treasure from the dragon." He glances to Leto, weighing if his words are being considered or ignored.
Ymephis Paces across the edge of the cloud land, keeping an eye on the storm below. "Dam fool of a girl, going without me." She says as she paces. "Should have riden with ehr, even if I had to go in this form..." She grips her scimitar at her belt, clearly agitated at Naivara going into danger without her.
yrsaintinth A slight frown forms on his face, as he looks slowly towards Morgan. He does not say anything though, but listens as Leto responds.
Piazet "Well, yes..." The Axial dragon speaks up, looking to Yuno. "We have many rooms, though I would suggest your orange friend refrain from tossing the other dragons out, as I am the only one who can fly this castle at present, and the other dragons are here to aid our lords." He waves Yuno to follow him. "What sort of room would you like? There is a multitude of all options, though I will say Latrius has the largest room reserved for him, as he is my lord, and I am the keeper of this castle currently." He prattles on, speaking as he gives a tour of the castle.
Fraty Fraty dives off the edge of the cloud, transforming into her dragon form, and disappearing into the storm clouds below. Kyrian would feel her heading straight towards the water below, not really going towards the sense he has of Chysen and those who went to aid the ship. She is just randomly diving into the clouds for whatever unknown purpose she might have gotten into her mind currently.
Grivryn Stays near the Song dragon as she paces. He does not speak but keeps vigil as they await news from below.
fesyss "I am certain you can find a serviceable place for Yuno here." The gray dragon informs the Axial as they get the tour of the castle. There are quite a few rooms, but you would notice that they are suited for giant-sized people, not normal-sized.
Higgul As Yuno gets the tour he would see Higgul sitting in a common area, with an ale pint in hand. The warrior watches you all pass with a frown.
Zambunth Yuno would find the Incarnum dragon in what can only be a library, reading through some ancient tomes. The dragon glances up briefly as you pass on your tour, but turns back to the book once you move along.
Palvin Circles the ship, staying a bit out, but close enough to aid if Kierro needs aid. "Do you wish to board the ship?" He asks Naivara as he circles.
chysen Flies in close to the ship, to where Kierro can board if given permission.
emmy Thanks the the spell cast on her, Emmy is having little to no problem as she hovers just off the side of the ship, giving Honor the option to board or not.
The figure you all saw shouting commands, even if you could not hear them, strides to the rail. Her words barely carry over the non-stop thunder. You would see a rope tied to her waist, and then to the nearby railing. All aboard have ropes tieing them to something, clearly they have taken precautions against getting washed overboard. The figure you would realize is a woman wearing half-plate armor and with a longsword at her hip. Her hair is plastered to her head, and what clothes she has on under the armor is soaked to her skin. "You ride a gold dragon." The woman's voice, barely heard, sounds confounded. "You have permission to board, though I warrant you'd be safer aboard the dragon than aboard me ship."
"I believe I had suggested finding access to teleportation in town as well. If you have connections that would surely speed things up. I would like to like to become acquainted with them as well."Then looking towards Saint adds to Morgan, "That is good thinking to see what lairs he has. You never know when we'll need a place to go."He then smiles and says, "You've done well for me so far. If new armor is what you need, we shall have to look into it."
Leto Morgan smiles. "My family is the most powerful family in all of Waterdeep." He informs Leto with a smug smile. "I can get us to a teleportation circle, and even know where to get the sequences for the Neverwinter circle at the halls of Justice there." He shrugs. "For sequences to the South, that could be more problematic, as we'd have to take time to research and find someone who has that information." He considers. "I bet I could find someone with a sequence to a circle in Baldur's Gate, though it would likely cost." Suddenly he sits up straight, setting his chair back on the floor, as he was leaning back on two legs again. He glances to Leto, with an alarmed expression. "Have you considered how you will get the dragons into Waterdeep?" He asks, clearly changing the subject with something he had just thought of. "You see, there is a dragon shield around the entire city. No dragon can enter the city, unless they are granted the ability to do so."
"Thank you." Kierro swings himself over the rail, then reaches a hand back, which is taken by Chysen's claw. The latter transforms into his human form and is pulled up as well, standing next to his companion. The two wave for the others to join them, then turn back to the captain, with the dragonlord introducing himself first. "My name is Kierro." he says with a bow of his head. He looks towards his partner, who adds: "And mine is Chysen."
He allows the captain and any crew members to introduce themselves.
Kierro looks around the deck, gripping the rail with both hands to keep stable, then speaks to the captain: "We saw your ship battling its way through the storm and feared the worst. Clearly, this vessel's sturdier than I gave it credit for now that I see it up close, but we still wanted to ask if you and your crew needed help."
"Information is often stronger than the sword."Leto says with a smile. "Though it does depend on who is wielding each. And that bit about dragons not being allowed into the city! How fascinating. We'll certainly have to learn more about this 'dragon shield', and find a way to grant our friends the ability to enter."
Yuno lightly pokes Torreneg on the side with her elbow and says, "No no... we are all friends here. No... need to plunder and pillage or kick people out." As she tours the various rooms and takes note of the fact that the rooms seem to have a lot of vertical space, she asks Axial, "Do you... happen to have a large room with bunk beds? Somewhere me and... Torrened and... Fesyss can stay together? Unless... do... the dragons stay in the same room as the... dragon lords or do they have separate rooms?"
Yuno Piazet, the Axial dragon, glances to you. "We ahve plenty of rooms, so it is up to you if you wish the dragons to share your room or not. "I do not believe we have any bunkbeds, but I am certain we can pick some up at the next place we stop with such things available."
Leto "Oh, getting access shouldn't be a problem." Morgan says with a smirk. "The current holder of the staff is a gold dragon, so I think you just need Kierro to do his wammy on it, then have it grant all of the dragons you wish access. The holder of the staff is the only one who can grant the access you see." He shrugs. "Some great magic was done long ago, that allows this special staff to grant access through the dragon shield."
Kierro, Honor, and Naivara "I am known as Lost Salt." The woman says as she waves you after her. She leads the way, slipping over the wet deck as she makes her way to a door build under the aft deck. "If the ship goes down, it won't matter much, but we can talk a little easier inside." She explains, as she opens the door to ehr quarters. She gestures you all inside. The sship is battered and blown around as you all step inside. "We think we can make our way out of this." Lost Salt says as she turns to face you all. "Storm can't be much further, we've been at this for a while,a nd it has to blow itself out soon." She pats the side of the ship, one of the walls in her room. "She's spelled to handle storms, but this is pushing her to her limits I can tell you. She cannot take too much more I fear, which is why I hope we are about clear." She looks over to Chysen. "As ye can fly, can ye tell me how far to the nearest edge of the blasted storm?"
"Hundreds of miles, perhaps." Chysen responds. "It hasn't stopped since we left Mintarn. I believe it will stop once we reach the mainland, and not a second before. Depending on where you are sailing, the mainland is your safest bet."
Kierro shakes his head sadly. "Right. You pointed out that we ride dragons. That power has led some people to believe that we are a danger to the world at large. I believe this includes the god of storms of this world. Talos. Most likely a few others as well. They have sent the storms, as well as various monsters and warriors in an attempt to waylay us. The problem is twofold. One - we have no desire to bring danger to this world, and many of us seek to actively help it." He gestures to Naivara and Honor, two living proofs of this. "Two. We travel in a flying castle which is currently above the ship's location. We do this because our previous ship was nearly wrecked in a similar storm the last time we crossed the ocean. We didn't wish to endanger another crew in this way, and yet the storms continue even though they can't hit us. I don't know if they simply are unaware of this, or if they truly believe that the measure will be of any benefit to outweigh the harm it does."
He pauses to recollect his thoughts. "In short: you, your crew, and the crew of every other ship on the waters are being thrown into the crossfire through no fault of your own. We aren't strong enough to stop the storms, nor are we able to speak to the ones responsible for its creation and ask them to stop. The only thing we can do at this point is help people who we find have been hurt by the attacks meant for us - which is why we ventured down here, Captain Lost Salt.."
Kierro, Naivara, and Honor The captain looks a bit taken aback by this news. She strides around the chamber, her legs adapting to the great swells of the sea below the ship, while the rest of you need to hold onto something or risk being tossed about like ragdolls. Eventually she turns to you. "Do you have a way to get some of my crew, those who wish to leave, to safety?" She asks finally. "I will not leave my ship, but there may be some of the crew who would wish to do so." She looks resolved, clearly knowing she will be goign down with the ship. She then steps over to the table, where maps are unrolled and tacked to the tabletop. "If I knew where we were I could see if there were any islands close by to shelter in." She says as she waits for your answer to her first request. Glancing up she adds, "Could you help guide us to an island nearby? I know the Sea of Swords is dotted with them, but, in this storm, I don't even know which direction is North."
Gripping white-knuckle to a nearby ledge, Kierro replies to her first question: “I believe there is. We could lower the castle down toward the water and lower the ladder. There should be enough space. Not comfortable, but certainly workable until we reach land. Not to mention, I should be able to create enough food and water for the entire crew each day.”
He observes her resolve and listens to her second question. He looks to Naivara. “Naivara, I believe our best hope for finding an island lays with either your survival skills or Grivryn’s familiarity with these waters. We could fly up and use the sun to find north, but a more direct path would do much better.”
"The castle moves ...extremely slowly," Honor points out. "And some of the folks aboard are even more colorful than us. Once you're on the castle, there's no leaving again until we reach land,"she warns. She catches Kierro's eye, giving him a look of 'are you sure about this?'
Kierro returns the gaze with one that says 'yeah, I am', though clearly not too enthusiastically. "The castle is the last-resort option. It's what we'll have to settle for if we can't find an island. It would be a partial solution, and considering it would mean abandoning the Rambunctious Tide and any crew who would rather stay aboard to the end, I will not accept that."
He nods to Lost-Salt, his own resolve to keep the crew safe very clear.
Not quite getting the plan... Are you talking about lowering the castle itself into the storm? you would have to lower it nearly to the water to get the ladder to the ship. This will also put the castle at risk of being tossed about in the storm as well. I will have to check to how storms affect flying castles. It would also mean putting the rest of the dragonlords into the storm, which some might not wish, so you'll have to work that part out as well. Kierro doesn't control the castle, Latrius does.
Lost Salt frowns. "The island is indeed the first option, but I would like to let anyone aboard ship, who wishes it, the chance to get to this castle of yours. Would your dragons be willing to ferry them up?" She gives an apologetic smile to the dragons in the room. "No disrespect meant by using you as simple ferries, it just seems the most expediant."
