"FOCUS CENTAUR. GET YOUR SECOND WIND, AND SHOW THEM THE POWER OF THE FORM THE GOD OF VICTORY CHOOSES TO TAKE MOST OFTEN!" Though he wouldn't really mind losing a simple bet, at this point he was more frustrated seeing just how bad the centaur was doing.

The centaur gains a boost of speed, running ahead of the competition as the course ends, and finishes with first place! 

The riding horse falls behind, ending up in last place in the dust of the centaur. 

The bull-riding minotaur manages to have 2nd place. 

The satyr takes third place at the end of the race. 

The crowd that is wearing yellow cheers, filling a few blocks of the polis with noisy shouts of happiness, while the red-orange wearing fans boo and sulk. 

Having seen the spectacle of the race for the first time, Turo turns to Tim, "That was incredible! Though I don't know why people would be their hard earned money on such things. Did you know any of the racers? You seemed to cheer quite loudly."

"I do not understand either.  I do not know any of them, but truely sports bore me."  Glynn says.  "I am Glynn and you are?"

(OOC whats funny is the first character I pitched was a gambilling addict.

"Nice to meet you Glynn. I'm new to all this. My name is Turo," he shakes Glynn's hand, "I'm from the country and so am well out of my depth."

"Join the club, I too am from the country, only came to the city to try and learn a few things from a school of magic."

The minotaur lets out a triumphant bellow. He laughs as he gives a wave to the centaur "Well won!" Before heading over to collect his winnings and find Turo again.

(Okay, just to clarify things, the centaur who was announcing the event had a trumpet, and is a male. The centaur in the race is wearing yellow, won the race, and is a female.) 

Tim approaches the stand and the woman behind the counter says, "Nice choice! Looks like you win a 7 gold, and 5 silver!" 

She then hands you a pouch containing the money. 

Yanna cheers, though she did lose coin. She keeps an eye out to see where the Saytr was going, before looking around to see what else was going on around her.

The centaur with the trumpet shouts, "Three hours until the next race!" 

"Well that was interesting," Turo says to Tim and Glynn, then looking around, "What else is there to do in this town? We've got some time until the next race."

Tim has a massive grin on his face as he collects his winnings, humming lightly as he calls out to the racer "Very nice job! Iroas bless you through your future races!" Strolling back to Turo and nodding at the duo. "Greetings Turo! You made a friend it seems?" Looking over Glynn curiously.

"Hello big man.  I am Glynn.  Turo and I were just discussing what else there is to do here.  We are both new, and all my time has been spent in the university, and more recently I've been spending some time in a temple."

"Nice to meet you Glynn! I am Timistimachi~! Though I definitely hope to speak to the victor later, if you would like perhaps a drink? Nothing too expensive I did not win much..." The Minotaur clears his throat after adding the last part quickly and a bit quieter.

"Yes, a drink, I like that idea, even more so when others are offering.

"I'll join you, but just for company," Turo joins Tim and Glynn as they head off to find a drink. "The bustle of this place is still taking some getting used to, and besides... I feel that something more is needed from me."

"Did someone say drink?" Yanna looks around till she sees the group. She approaches, "Yanna at your services. I've got no idea what's going on here with these races but im loving it!"

"Then let us be off! Stay close, crowds part relatively easy for me." Thumping his chest proudly before heading off towards the nearest tavern/inn/bar, making sure to give the people following him enough time and space to do so.

"Yay!" Yanna says, skipping along after him.

Merlok will follow the odd group, his curiosity piqued.
