You follow Timistimachi down the steps of the patio towards a local wine-house. The building is small, and filled with around 20 people reveling over the victory of the yellow-dressed centaur in the race. The proprietor is an elderly satyr with gray hair, curved horns, and he is wearing a toga and holding a pitcher filled with a red-sloshing liquid.
What do you do?

Timistimachi approaches the proprietor with a smile and a nod "Greetings sir! Four mugs of mead for my friends and I please! Also, might you happen to know where the glorious victor of the last race may be?" Ready to count out the gold for the price once it was stated, and also counting out another gold piece as he asks if he happens to know the answer to his question.
The elderly satyr nods, and sets down the pitcher on the counter, and then grabbing another filled with mead, grabs 4 cups, and puts the cups on a table, beckoning your group to come forth. He then pours 4 cups of mead, and says, "No, sir. I was here during it. I expect they'll be readying for the next race, though."

Tim nods and offers two gold to the Satyr "Thank you still good sir! And why is there ever competition! To be victorious, to honor the gods, to settle disputes without bloodshed! All of these and more are fine reasons for races." Tim gives a hearty laugh before happily at least trying to quaff his entire mug in a few massive gulps.
(If I need to make a check for that I'll gladly add it in xD. Also would I know where the racers prep or at least the general area they congregate?)
He replies to you before moving on to other customers, "They're for glory and amusement! The winners get glory for winning, the losers get glory for losing fairly, the crowd has fun, and the gamblers win coin."

(No check needed for that. You know that the racers train just outside the city, in the fields.)
Make a Constitution saving throw. You drank the mead a bit too fast.

The Minotaur manages to down the entire cup, letting out a satisfied sigh followed by a short deep belch, before he rolls his shoulders a bit "Whew....almost went down the wrong tube there. Unless any of you need anything else, I'll be off to speak to the racers! I'd like to personally thank that centaur woman." Barely waiting ten seconds for anyone to say something before if nothing is said or ideas pitched the Minotaur will head out to seek out the racers area and the Centaur Victor.
"Uhh... well, Glynn, and, uh, miss?" Turo turns to Glynn and then Yanna, though is not sure of her name, "I'm sorry, I don't remember if we have met yet or not. The races and all the goings on here in the city, I'm a little overwhelmed with sights at present. Did either of you want to follow Tim?" He points at the minotaur as he makes his way out of the bar after downing his drink.

"What are these races for?" Yanna asks.
Elra Skylash - Human Cleric | Vanzaren Tanidoni - Half Elf Wizard
Mindartis Liadon - Eladrin Barbarian | Naivara Siannodel - Half Elf Ranger
Arrila Evenwood - Half Elf Paladin | Callaphe of Setessa - Human Rogue

"And how often do they hold these races? Seems a regular thing here in the city," Turo pipes in.
Glynn drinks his drink. Thinking to himself how much he wishes he understood everyone's obsession with sports.

"Well then, I guess we can try to follow Tim. Miss?" Turo holds out a hand to Yanna, inviting her to join them.
So, you're in the bar, right?

(Yeah, we'd followed Tim to the bar, he smashed a drink and then I think he was leaving the bar so was gonna follow.)
Okay, so, roll for Perception to find the racers.
