Grixeor will just usher Hallowgazer out of general earshot of his men (and assume that the rest of the party come with) and then just say "Tell us.....secrets will help no-one"

"Right then! Let's do it. I'll offload this extra gear an' we can set off fer this multiverse wizard..." Thorin's voice trails off for a moment, then he turns to the party, "Wait, does anyone want ta rest first? We've no actually rested this evenin'."

Trinity speaks up "I for one could use some sleep."

Hallowgazer looks down after being pulled aside. He sighs and looks back at you all sheepishly. "The diviner told us..." He bites his lip and shakes his head. "You have eight days before he wakes up."

"Not a lot we could do 'til then, eh?" Abzerilan shrugs. "Guess we'll have to find something to busy ourselves with for nearly a tenday."

Thorin shrugs, "But do we want him ta awaken? Are we not wanting ta prevent that?"

"Better to be prepared and have a backup plan than sit on our arses in case he does."

"Woah, woah, you're not saying you want to wait here and let the dragon wake up are you?" Hallowgazer says, his voice raised slightly. "Need I remind you that the greatest hero in this continent's history couldn't even kill this beast, he had to banish it to sleep. We have the opportunity to stop it all, and we should take it. Me and the guard, along with the Legion can handle any threats here until you return. I ask that you do this, please. But don't do it for me, do it for the citizens, who without us, are defenseless." He pleads.

"Not well-versed in the art of trench humor, eh?" Abzerilan says with a chuckle and a hint of disappointment. "Of course, I'll go hunt down that dimension-diving monstrosity."

Thorin chuckles, "I've no been in trenches, other than those on a farm, so don't get that humour. Well, we have a name an' destination, shall we rest a bite an' head off in the morn?"

The prospect of the dragon being free in just 8 days makes Grix pale as the captain divulges the truth and Grix just nods dumbly in agreement with what the others have been saying before composing himself "Well....let's go find the diviner.....we definitely do not want the dragon awakening" and to Hallowgazer "Do you have a map, or can give us some directions?"

"Yes, of course. Trajeon lives in Lugin, about 4 hours East of here. Follow the roads, and you can't miss it. You'll find him in the giant observatory in the back of the town." Hallowgazer explains.

"Well, then! Sounds like we got quite a trip ahead of us. How 'bout we rest up and get going fresh in the mornin'?"

Thorin takes a swig, "Sounds like a plan Abz ol' buddy. Sleep tanight an' nice trek down the road in the mornin'."

(OOC - I'll mark off long rest as long as everyone else is happy with that.)

"We could all use some sleep, I agree" realising that they had gone a full day and into the night on watch & exploring "Although the inn was full when we enquired, and at this hour it might be difficult to find somewhere to sleep" Turning to the captain once again Grixeor asks "Are we able to bed down in the city barracks?  Can you provide instruction to that effect?"

OOC: What time is it?

"I can allow you to stay in the barracks here, if you wish." Hallowgazer says.

OOC: It's about an hour before dawn.

OOC: Losing 8 hours for a long rest now will mean we would not likely get to the diviner until early evening....why don't we just push on without sleep, get to the diviner and the information then get a long rest after that.....

 (I guess we could press on for 4 more hours, in-game)

(OOC - Thorin could push on but isn’t full health having taken a few hits. I’m happy to push on for a little bit more to get to the diviner, as long as we are happy with the risk that our sorcerer is travelling tapped & expended abilities etc. Long rest was more in thought of that.)

OOC: We could take a short rest and recover a HD worth of HP....and I was using the Tome of Spells to cast so I still have slots.  Trinity has decent cantrips and one sorcery point left.  What's the worst that could happen walking through the city and visiting an observatory..... ;-) (perhaps I should not tempt fate)

But it is a group decision - Grix has made his position clear.  Trinity/Abz - you probably need to make the call as to whether to continue without a long rest until after we visit the diviner or not.
